SR - Passive selection order

I have a Claws/SR scrapper at 27. I've got the next few power levels reserved for the passives, Agile and Lucky. I already have Dodge ( at 26 ).

Which is the better of the 2, Lucky or Agile?

I took them in the following order Lucky, Dodge, Agile. I took Lucky early because I was coming up against a lot of nemesis and a lot of AoE attacks around lvls 25-30 and evasion only becomes available at 35!

UNION @Flitz 50, Lead Hose 50, Red Rag 50
DEFIANT Rose Bloodthorn 34
VIGILANCE Captain Caledonia 20 - Yeah, I made toons on the French server coz we only had 4 back then (might have to transfer/recreate them on one of the US servers)
..and many more!

Lucky as soon as possible in my opinion, as Flitz said from about 28-35 is a pile of AoE death waiting to happen

Cool, that sounds wise.

I guess it should also be the one I slot first too.

Tough and Weave and the Unique +def IO from steadfast. Giving you 10% (i.e. slightly more) def to all three

Seriously though those AoE's bloody hurt, I have to agree with my learned colleagues. For a sword I'd take dodge last, but for anything else dodge has to be the next priority.

OV is very right here, Fighting pool really complements SR specially after I9 with the Steadfast +3% defense unique enhancement. Dodge can be left last for swords and probably also for DM because its ToHitDeBuffs, but for anything else it is urgent to have.

Ah, good, a thread exists already. I've a similar query I'm currently facing on my Kat/SR. He's currently on lvl25, though I've yet to take the choice at 24. This is because, looking ahead at my build, I've probably taken too many attacks (I get scrapperlock) and consequently will only be able to take all but one power of the SR set.

My dilemma as of lvl24 is therefore which power to leave out of the three passives (Agile, Dodge and Lucky) or Quickness.

I already have Hasten in the build and with so many attacks recharge won't be an issue. So having said that, Quickness would still be nice for the 40% resistance, which seems impressive at almost double that of 3-slotted Tough... though I'm not sure to what types (the builder says 'multi').

I figure Lucky should also go in, agreeing with the comments in this thread.

Which leaves me with either Agile or Dodge. I'm thinking, well, I'm a scrapper and I hope to be in melee most of the time where I can use my AoEs etc. If I'm not on a team with a herding tank I'll do that myself. In this case, then Dodge trumps Agile since the latter is ranged.

Which makes my build something like this:

------------
Level 1: Sting of the Wasp
Level 1: Focused Fighting
Level 2: Flashing Steel
Level 4: Focused Senses
Level 6: Build Up
Level 8: Divine Avalanche
Level 10: Practiced Brawler
Level 12: Hasten
Level 14: Super Speed
Level 16: Hurdle
Level 18: Health
Level 20: Stamina
Level 22: The Lotus Drops
Level 24: Dodge <
Level 26: Soaring Dragon
Level 28: Quickness <
Level 30: Lucky <
Level 32: Golden Dragonfly
Level 35: Evasion
Level 38: Elude

Do you think I made the right choice of those powers discussed above?

My level 50 DM/SR doesn't have Agile, I used to, I dont miss it often (council marksmen are the only time I do)

I think if I dropped any of the others I'd miss them much more.

The order I'd take the three left are Quickness, Dodge, Lucky (as its not till level 30 you find Lucky is essential)

Quickness should give you devine avalanche more often and compensate for dodge being later. Somewhat at least. But it will increast your DPS potential

Hmm, was a little disappointed with Quickness' performance on caltrops this evening. Isn't it supposed to give resistance to slow powers? Or is it recharge debuffs we're talking about (eg ice stuff) when we say slow?

Quickness gives you 40% resist against slow effects. "Multi" refers to run speed, fly speed and recharge speed. Tough gives you resist to smashing and lethal effects. You are mixing the food

My order is Agile, Quickness, Lucky, Dodge.
Worked for me as I posted many times as teams tank. At low lvls I was pulling after corner and the 1st and much more were ranged and AoE attacks, then melee ones.
My build has also heal self so I was depending on a better ranged defense to run, pull and heal myself.
Of course later on at high lvls and with elude, things changed and I could even tank some AVs and when I was tanking mobs I didn't had to pull mobs after corner .. tp in the middle of the mobs ftw .

Yikes, gross misunderstanding on my part. I really can't think why I took that from the numbers in the builder. Thanks for setting me straight there.

So moving back to my choice. Hm. Quickness provides recharge boost, which I'm already getting from Hasten, and resist to slow, which I put to the test tonight, SK'd for the 'Defeat Chimera' praetorian mish, and it didn't seem to be so great. Either the KoA use especially nasty caltrops (I've not fought them before) or I couldn't get off them any faster than usual. Having said that perhaps I should just take the 3 passives Agile, Dodge and Lucky, to round off my Defense stats and skip Quickness altogether.

Thoughts?

Just to be on the same side each passive power Agile, Dodge, Lucky gives you a base defense of only 5.63% (8.91% with 3x IOs lvl 50) and a fixed pretty good 6.92% resist effect.

Quickness on the other hand gives you 40% resist slow, 20% recharge reduction, fly speed +13.5%(base), run speed +35%(base).
Although you have hasten I wouldn't drop quickness. 20% recharge reduction is a big deal for a scrapp who must kill quick. More I slotted 3x speed my quickness and with swift I loved to move fast in mishs without activating a travel power (which I usually forget about in battle and eats my endurance).
My advice would be to take quickness. About dropping 1 of the 3 passive, it's your choice, as I posted the defense provided is small, but the resist effect quantum is good. I don't have an advice as I played a BS/SR and I also used parry. so at that build I could skip even Dodge in PvE.
I agree with Cynic - you can do just fine without Agile especially in PvP.

Btw Caltrops (base) -85% speed for 45s, quickness 40% resist for 10s = -45% speed for 35s or smth like that.

I guess I was expecting it to be as good as slow resistance of Wet Ice from Ice Armor, though I can't find an exact figure for that.

Either way, I went with Quickness, so I'll be taking Dodge at 28 and Lucky at 30. Oh, I got Soaring Dragon last night... WOW... love the animation and what an awesome sound of steel slicing through the opponent!

Thanks for help everyone.
