Last time I came looking for a build I was thinking that my time would be spent in PvP... now however I have tried inventions I know I'll be doing a goodly amount of missions to grind enough junk to make me some IOs.

Now I have a good solid (IMO) build up to 32, but then I get stuck. I won't take MoG as I hate it, I tend not to take revive, so where else should I go?

I thought about tough but having tested it vs Rikti and Paragon Protectors in RCS I find that it doesn't seem to make a huge amount of difference. I've also looked at intimidate/invoke panic from presence pool but again don't know...

So any ideas? Strong PvE mainly solo but some PvP and with a bit of luck some Hamidon/STF.

It's a bit hard to recommend powers for 44, 47 and 49 as your slotting goes up to 46. :/
So unless you take Revive, Combat Jumping or some other "one slot wonder" it doesn't leave many useful options as the powers picked at 47 and 49 will probably require the slots gained at 48 and 50.

I guess Assault would be an option at 47, QR and Stamina should be able to cope with that FA and Integration.

Build really goes to 32, I just can't work out the rest and slotting is up for change anyway. Plus at this point (41) I have 8 slots left.

Thoughts on Tough?

Thoughts on Presence Pool for fears?

Concealment?

Leaping?

That sort of thing...

I had the presence pool on my DM/Regen (probably still do dont think I took it out) which I used for damage mitigation, more just allowing the damage to not all come at once, taunt and hide so the alpha is staggered, Invoke Panic to stop the constant stream of damage. I did find it made the character too easy to play though, had problems finding a touch mission, the only time it was tough was when 1 foe could 1 shot me and he had fear protection, else Intimidate+Tof would stop that

Primarily PvE with FA is one ACC going to be enough? And if it is will that suck very badly if and when I dabble in PvP?

I'd be tempted to slot up the attacks in this build a bit more, but I'm not sure if DM needs recharge slots in the attacks to have a good attack chain. Things like the slots in Fast Healing are nice to have but by no means essential so they could be moved to the attacks, the same goes for the endredux in Integration and in Fly (unless you intend to use Fly while fighting the end cost is fine).

I always like to have the 3rd recharge in Reconstruction as nothing is worse than waiting for it to recharge when you've got a sliver of health left! Might also be worth putting an extra endredx in Focussed Accuracy as it's a big end hog, even on a Regen.

Tough I'm not sure about, I had it on my Claws/Regen but not on my MA/Regen and to be honest didn't notice much difference in survivability. It's always nice to have though so if you've got room in your build I'd probably put it in.

The presence pool would potentially be nice to be able to fear a boss, it might be worth playing around with it on the test server.

I don't really think that the Concealment pool is needed for Scrappers as you are able to take damage and so there isn't much need to try and avoid the attention of mobs - most of the time they'll be pretty [censored] with you anyway. It's a useful pool if you want to ghost missions, but as you are looking to get IOs I'd imagine you'd want to kill as many mobs as possible in order to get salvage and recipies.

The leaping pool is nice but I'm not sure if you need it as well as Fly, and Integration covers the mez resists provided by Combat Jumping and Acrobatics.

In PvE FA with one acc is fine. It should also be fine in PvP although you can't use it in zones other than RV.

I use fly in combat.

Slots in fast healing will take advantage of ideas disscussed in the thread about health and IOs, except Fast Healing offers more of a baseline boost than health...

Reconstruction with 3 rec-rdx has a difference of IIRC 6s recharge and I don't see that as a major amount.

Found same issue with tough TBH perhaps its testing against Crey, Rikti and arachnos but with it switched off I survived as well as with it on but used less end.

Tried the presence pool last night on three different builds (on test) and found it to be to slow for recharge and to short on fear length, and if I slotted for that it didn't hit. Fine against minions but I can generally ignore them until the boss is dead.

This is my final build, after much testing, I can tank two even level crey bosses (Rikti 3x) whilst killing a 3rd. Plus the associated spawn. Arachnos is harder but did less testing for them. Incidentally I got some nice recipes whilst testing I just wish I could transfer them to live.

Some reasoning...

Fly gets four slots so I can get a full Flight IO set in there including a stealth IO.

Resilience gets three slots to fit in a resistance IO set (3 of).

My main attack chain is:

Ariel Superiority -> Smite -> Shadow Punch -> AS -> ...
Which I can flesh out with ToF and Midnight Grasp in between the ASes, most mobs in the game I have found so far excluding AV/GMs are unresistant to AS, I have prevented Fake Nems from PFFing, Big Demon things from healing and PPPs from novaing, just while testing, and TBH wouldn't have a build without it.

Shed slots from Shadow Maul as its not a must have IMO due to the root effect and the recharge, I have lost count of how often I've died while using it as I'm unable to click or pop.

I've never run FA, but I still normally run 1 acc for PvE so am probably not who should be asked *chuckles*

I picked the dark epic and was blasting things instead, so never had that joy. But I wouldn't be without TT on my DM/SR

I'd recommend anyone try it - if you dont like MoG then you could put Touch of Fear in there instead

Not sure about Tough on a regen, however, on the DM side, although you have 2 fast rechargers (shadow punch and air superiority) you also have 2 very slow ones (soul drain and dark consumption) hence I would personally improve my attack chain with 1 SO recgharge in Shadow Maul and Midnight Grasp at least (if possible also Smite).
On the other hand, although I will try presence pool on a BS/Regen as an alternative to MoG, bear in mind that one of the Presence Powers can be substituted by Touch of Fear which is much better than Intimidate. It's single target hence not as good as Invoke Panic but it is immediately available. I would personally go for Touch of Fear and try the Presence Pool in any other regen rather than DM.
A sensible slotting for Touch of Fear would be 2xAcc and 3xToHitDebuff and if you have a spare slot wouldn't hurt to put here a Fear Duration, however that would imply one of your powers to choose to be something that can go away with just the base slot.
Regarding Tough, I am not that familiarised with Regen to recomend it or not.
