nice pic, it looks like he's stolen Viewtiful Joe's costume
Wow.
Great pics of the Spad.
In regards to the colouring, I can see that you seem to be following the principal of selecting areas (spandex - torso & thighs) and filling them in using the paint bucket.
Instead, try having the layer layout as such:
Code:[/color]

Blank layer: name Red spandex - multiply mode -> for colouring only
------------
Original scan - locked

Now on the top layer, go nuts using the paint brush and cover the whole torso & thighs area.
Those grey and blank spots should disappear.
Then add a new layer set it to multiply and repeat the process for the skin or hair etc..
You got a great base to work with here. If you shade it properly, it could very well become a great finished piece.
Phase 2 - with much better colouring:

Much better ^^

I thought I'd try some colouring in. I'm not exactly what you'd call talented when it comes to art, but I can use Photoshop, so it was worth a shot.
It's not quite finished and I'd like to add some after effects, but my hand is getting tired so I'll have to revisit it another day.
Comments and abuse welcome:
