New PvP competition?
I'm pretty much up for any PvP dude just need a time and a date
Always willing to give a go at any idea so long as I am free, some lower level PvP could be a nice change of pace every now an then too.
When it comes to leveling a toon for an event I think some of us would be more than happy to assuming the level wasnt silly to get to, 13 is fairly resonable given enough warning, though it occurs that some of us will have many alts already so I dont know if Exemping might need to be considered?
But overall I am all for a more active PvP scene so cool
Cheers,
White

We need more attitudes like you in this game my dear friend
Maybe something a little lower level, as more people can take part that way.
always ready for some relaxed fun with friends, perhaps a random mixed teams night again, changing teams after each game.
**Acceptable "support" responses**
Its your fault
Its your computers fault
Its your ISPs fault
I'd be up for that too
People need to think a bit out of the box.The usual arena matches are by now a bit of the same taste everywhere.I dont really know what others think i just say what i think. Tbh if i had the chance (which i dont due to my time being devoted to WoW end game and poping in coh for casualk fun) i would suggest a "protect the fortress" event or "bodyguard" arena event. How this would work? Well each time would have to be of a specific colour.Lets say all team in blue and they would select one person to be the person they need protect. He would be a different colour to be easily seen and targeted. Then they would have to survive in the arena against the other team that would be attacking their VIP.Then switch roles around. The team that kills the VIP of the other team more would win the match.
It should be good fun across all levels if some limitations came around like no tp powers and no travel powers used.It would be an all out battle with a lot tactics and a lot of room for team to create new tactics. We could have an all empath team protecting 1 granite tank or an all controller team with pets protecting another troller or even MM teams protecting 1 stalker.

After a few PvP competitions recently, I've been kinda inspired to organise my own, but as I've seen, it's quite hard to drum up interest and support, and also to come up with something everyone would like.
After 3vP, it's quite obvious that 3 vs 3 is a nice, fair combo, with nearly everyone liking that many people in one team, although, with the random pick and mix, it did make it unfair for some teams who found themselves with 3 support toons against 3 damage dealers. It was a great idea in theory, and for the first few weeks everyone was enjoying it, but as it went on, people became a little unreliable and didn't turn up, which then made it confusing as then people would complain why they had lost a life etc etc. Then when it clashed with another major event (World Cup I believe) it was left upto the entrants themselves to organise the times/dates for their own PvP match, which very few did. And I believe it is still going on.
Squished was great fun, with very few complaints from all that attended. But yet again, a lot of the people that signed up didn't show even though it was only for that one specific night.
Pentads are probaly the most fun, with teamwork being essential, and i'm looking forward to Suckerpunch, but as I can see already, it's very hard to round up a team of 5 peope together, as only one team has entered so far (and that's the organisers team)
From what i've seen, one night events are probaly the best, as this way you have a more reliable show of people, but that then leaves little time for the event to be hosted, so leagues are basically out the window and the only way a winner could be determined is through Knockout Tournaments, but then that also means it's highly affected by luck, and not the skill/syngergy of the team.
Not too long ago, the 1AT had organised a lil PvP league, 2 on 2s with everyone at level 13 (just before Travel powers) in 10 minute team duels. This was great fun, until it was cancelled. (Again, due to people not organising themselves/not showing up). But a huge mix of different combo's turned up and it was interesting to see how they could do against each other.
What I was wondering was, what would you like to see? A one night KO tournament, for maximum turnout. Or a weekly event, where turnout would be very unpredictable?
As for level, do you reckon if enough time was given, people would level a toon specifically for an event to level 13? Or would it have to be a much lower level like 5?
And as for team make-ups, I was thinking 3 vs 3, but with 2 "squishies" and 1 "non-squishie" in each team?
Would appreciate any thoughts on all the comments above.
Jum.
