My Life
I wake up to a beautiful morning,
As the light from the sun peers through the drapes.
The birds on the balcony whistle to the dawning,
And few clouds begin to form in different shapes.
Im clear awake yet feel somewhat confused,
Cant seem to remember what has happened last night.
A few women in the distance seem quite amused,
I can hear them laughing but theyre barely in sight.
My head hurts and theres a bandage around my arm,
I cant find my clothes and Im naked on top.
My legs feel numb and my hands feel warm,
I try to move around but I cant get up.
A man approaches me wearing a long white coat,
youve been beaten quite a few times now, he confidently speaks,
Last thing I remember I was walking down the road,
He looks through his papers but I dont know what he seeks.
you need to stay here for another day or so,
I look at him surprised by his statement and ask him why.
your heavily beaten up this time, you cant go,
I understand his argument, yet still I want to try.
I turn my body to the edge of the bed,
But the man holds me back pointing to his chart.
youre in no shape to go, at least not yet,
Still Im trying to get up, but its really hard.
I turn onto my side and pull the sheets back over me,
Thinking that Ive been beaten again and its really getting dull.
The man signals one of the women I just barely see,
I close my eyes knowing that this is my life my life as a Skull.
