it quite nicely describes it. debt never bothered me, im DM/DA you die a lot (well, you used to in the olden days, i3/i4..... damn, the end drain was bad :/)

and an odd bit of flying

Sorry, I just like quoting and paraphrasing Transformers when the opportunity presents itself

"A Scrapper is never too late or too early, he fly kicks his opponent in the teeth at the precise point that he means to."
I see in your eyes the same overpowered fear that DMs have, a day may come when the damage of Scrappers fail, when we forsake our defences and stop slotting damage, but it is not this day. An hour of Blasters, and SR when the age of Scrappers comes crashing down! But it is not this day, this day we fight! By all you hold dear, in this good game, I bid you use Build Up, Scrappers of Paragon!
For the Scrappapocalypse!
World of Jackcraft.
I can't believe how blindingly easy it is with a scrapper. I have a MA / SR scrapper and I tend to use it in most teams;
>> Liuet sights group >> Cobra Strike >> Take one or two minions down by either knockback if it hits or build up and a couple of attacks >> boss if there is one, get an attack with build-up in if it's still there, pummel into ground, dashing back to defend terrfied trollers who just realised that earthquake stopped and they have no endurance left >>
Repeat.
Hopefully I get a bit more flavour in the twenties
My scrapper is a TSR
Which for non-nerds stood for Terminate and Stay Resident
I know what it means, I haven't got quite the same idea how it answers the OP's question though.

Scrapping is largely a button mashing exercise. Sometimes you have to remember to check your hit points bar. If you're toggle heavy, you have to keep an eye on endurance.
But mostly you keep hitting them until they stop moving and then move onto the next.
PvP is probably more complex.

I feel the scrapper is unique in having no defined role within a team. Everyone knows what everyone else's job is but no one's eally sure where the scrapper fits it, or what "scrapping" actually is.
He is the wild card, the jack-of-all-trades, the one-size-fits-all and so on and so forth.
I'm not going to my claim my playstyle is the definition of scrapping but it's how I interprete the word. Scrapping imho means plugging the holes. Reinforcing the tankers, intercepting the mobs racing for the blaster after he looses off an AoE, taking out the high risk mobs (sappers, quantums etc) and covering the rear if everything goes pear-shaped.
I've noticed scrappers have a bit of a bad reputation and I think that may stem from the difficulty in being a "good" scrapper and not thinking of yourself as a hard-hitting tank.
