Life, The Universe, and Everything in Recipe Sales
I'm pretty sure WW and BM take a 10% cut, with a minimum of 5 influence.
The listing fee is 5%, to a minimum of 5 inf. The selling fee is 10%, with a minimum of 10 inf.
No idea where the OP's 40% came from.

Have you READ Arcanaville's Guide To Defense? You may change your tune, young master Evan. You may change your tune indeed.

So you think you're a hero, huh.

Arcanaville's Math hurts my brains. [Hmm, this may be the root of my problem.]
My weak Applied Mathematics degree withers and dies in the iridescent power of Arcanaville's computational and theoretical legerdemain.

Blame the hour (point at the posted time) and all the thunder rattling my brain.

Well, I didn't mean to imply that it was, I just meant that the degree I have is in Applied Mathematics.
I suspect Arcanaville's degree is in "Chuck Norris" Mathematics.

So, I'm poking at the Black Market since I'd picked up a few L50 recipes and noticed something fun.

You can vendor a IO basic recipe for 1/4th its crafting cost. (25%).
Wentworth/Black Market takes 40% of what you get, when you sell something.
So If you want to get 25% of crafting cost, you have to add to that so that once 40% is taken out, you still have the 25% of the crafting cost. (Yes, yes, I know. Math, ow, pain. Math is good for you)
You find this by dividing the 0.25 by 0.6 (what you get when its sold) and that comes out to 0.416666666 orrr.. 42%!!
Its the answer! YAAAY! Sadly, only Fenchurch ever knew the question...
And if you haven't the slightest idea what I'm taking about? Go read a book! Specifically 'The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy'
