Looking for someone who can draw/render cars
Im sure alot of artist's here could do it. but im not entirely sure if anyone here specializes in drawing cars.
I for one would be willing to give it a shot as ive been interested in getting into drawing cars. time is the only issue.
I would definetly check DA out. there are some fine car artist's on there
I did these from pictures in a calendar when I started playing around with markers. Looking at the image you linked, the same coloring rules will apply. I think I can do a better job digitally than I did with markers, color pencils and fineliners.

I don't specialize in it, but I just did this piece for the FArt Battle.
Also: that car looks awesome.
Ha. Oddly enough, both of you guys are on my mental "short list" of artists with whom I'd like to work. Specifically because I've got this new crew of pulp/noir female characters. I've always liked Elec's illustrations of the ladies, and Lousy (aka heo), your digital watercolors would, I think, make for an interesting take on the classic pulp style.
I've got a few other things cooking right now, but the fact that it was the two of you who first responded is a tad bit serendipitous.

I know, right? I've got this female private eye character (Moxie Danger), and I wanted her to have a cool car. I did a Google image search for Boyd Coddington, and while that car isn't one of his designs, it knocked my socks off.
There's not enough Art Deco in design these days.
I wonder how much Chip Foose would charge to do a custom illustration for you...
I can say this: I got GREAT results on illustrations featuring a motorcycle from Brandon McKinney, Sorah Suhng, and Meshsmoother (all on DA). I gave them each screenies of the Suzuki Hayabusa, and they all incorporated the bike into the illustrations very well (altho' Sorah said she 'wasn't sure how it came out'...)

you've won me over with your combination of Flattery and overall good idea . I love pulp and noir influenced art and it is also something ive been dying to try for some time now. while i have alot on my plate for the next 3 weeks. following that I have a month long holiday which i had intended to dive into all sort's of art projects.
Id even be down with a collaberation if Lousy day is interested. he's one artist I too have admired and to be honest. i just dont collaborate as much as i'd like.
So consider this me Officially throwing my name into the hat on this one
Thanks both of you for double flattery. I have never done a collaboration, but it is something I might potentially be interested.
The only thing on my must do list is the finale of Gray Huntress and the Proto-Deus, and of course the soon-to-be-announced June Fan Art Battle. I am kinda tempted to turn my free art thread into city of bike girls to generate more interest.
Storm, by my "digital watercolors", do you mean the stuff I am doing now, or the exercises I did back in February where I tried specifically to emulate the look of traditional watercolors?

I'm glad that you guys are both interested in this project. It will be a little while before I can go ahead and get the ball rolling, but it sounds like you're both otherwise preoccupied for now, so that works out.
Lousy: I like the stuff you're doing now. It definitely has a bit of a "modern pulp" favor, which is pretty much exactly what I was looking to get.
Dig that car in the OP.

Aye. Looks like it moves like a fish and steers like a cow.
Be well, people of CoH.

I hear cars are very tricky for some artists to draw. I have a commissioned piece in mind that has a car as a central image. Figured I'd send up a flare here whilst I poke around DA and such. If anyone either can, or knows someone who can, draw vehicles, please gimme a shout.
Thanks!
EDIT: This , by the way, is the kind of car for which I was looking. I am by no means an auto enthusiast (heck, I don't even drive), but that car makes me drool.
