15 days is ample time to formulate an apology. When I am required to apologize to any part of my customer base it certainly didn't take 15 days to do so. Why? The customers would simply walk out the door, never come back and then tell all their freinds, relatives and assosiates about the shoddy treatment they received.
I mean it wouldn't take 15 days to do so. Because I have never had to do that. Yes, that sounds better

I believe that a company that DEPENDS on their consumer based product that DEPENDS on regular influxes of money from regular users, loses absolutely no money or dignity by simply fixing the problem and moving on.
This is not school. This is a service that is there to satisfy it's consumers. When it fails to do so they will move on.
I say this with complete respect and love for both the product and those of it's consumer base that I have had the honour to get to know, and with respect for and to the Devs.
It's simple. You produced a faulty product. Some of us played with it in a way you didn't like. It's ok. People do these kinds of things. It's not personal. It's business. Fix the holes. Take a break. Move on.

It'd be nice to know that they are sincere, and I'd like to hope they are, but I've learned that unless it's to talk down at us, probably not going to get any other sort of official statement.
I've let it go.
