MA Tutorial Badge
I think that's the idea. The tutorial is available in one spot on either side, so making it something you want to do over and over again (because it's primarily meta-information to you the player). The invention tutorial is its own beast - I still don't know why that thing awards a badge for completion.
No.
The tutorial takes about 20 seconds to complete without much lagging. At least the Invention tutorial assigns you a real mission.

Yeah, they shouldn't have badges for just running around and clicking things.
The MA tutorial all but forces you to walk within range of the exploration badge in the AE building. Tada! Your tutorial badge.

But really, that just shows that you were in the building. There really appears to be no way to tell if a particular character has done the tutorial or not, short of noting that the contact doesn't appear on your list.
Since the mission is not an arc, there is no Souvenir. There is no Badge to look for. And the Instructor vanishes from your contact list when it is complete. For someone who plays many many alts (like many of us), how is one to tell which have done it and which have just been in the building?

I would like a badge simply for tracking purposes. Add a defeat all mission to it if you feel you must.
You answered your own question...

I said that, man.
"... short of noting that the contact doesn't appear on your list."
When you play 147 characters, most of which are above level 30 at this point and have active and inactive contact lists a mile long, it's not really an easy task to track down a contact which is not there.
If the contact was there, with a little filled up progress bar, that would be a different story.
If you're all so concerned that there isn't any real work being done to deserve a badge then I suggest adding a test mission portion to the Tutorial to get players used to actually choosing and playing the missions.
That would make it more of a challenge and more worthy of a badge and would help stiffle questions like, "Now how do I test my arcs?" that I hear from players just moments after they finished the Tutorial.

[/ QUOTE ]Why do you even feel the need to do the tutorial? It's not because of the reward (there isn't one). It's probably not because of the information you get (you can get the same info from talking to the NPCs without doing the mission, and after your first time you probably know it all anyway). It could be because you're OCD about clearing out your contacts list, in which case you'd find him when you look at your list.

There are many such "fluff" badges. Check out Badges in Issue 14: Architect "Destructive" or "Virtual Victor" come to mind.
The exploration badge is generic and exists in all sites (Which is bizarre and kind of goes against the spirit of exploration badges).
The 'completion' badge would be (like Inventor) an easy to get and unique souvenir badge.
I've been testing a story arc of mine and have gotten tons of "you've done x of y badges". The "shinies" are nice but pale when compared to one or two key completion/milestone badges - like Inventor - because you have to be obsessive to get them and they all seem to merge together after a while.

True. However it would be in the finding that he is not listed (since he vanishes permanently after completion) that would tip me off.
I also would just like to note here that the Exploration badge: Thrill Seeker can be had in any AE building, not just the Atlas and Mercy locations, which house the tutorial. So, you don't even have to go anywhere near the tutorial contact to get it.
I still think that this is an idea worth considering.

That there makes me wonder if you have seen the list of issue 14 badges. They in fact do have about 12 badges that have to do with "just running around and clicking things" and a lot of other silly ones too, like getting inspiration drops...
I just completed the MA tutorial. It was fun but I was disappointed when the tutorial didn't award a badge on completion like the university tutorial does.
Can we have a MA tutorial completion badge please? It will make it worthwhile doing the tutorial again with our alts -- otherwise people will ignore it.
