I'm being totally honest when I ask this.. "Is it against the rules of the forums to advertise for stuff like ratemybuild.com?".
I tried looking around for some "forum rules" but nothing is jumping out at me..
I do have a question about the "advertising" thing.. If someone posted a new "hero builder" would you be pissed about them advertising?

No. Because hero builders are beneficial. Your website seems to be a place where people post their builds. Builds are entirely (more or less) dependant upon the persons choice.
Give it up. You wont win. This is the wrong board anyways

There's nothing wrong with sharing a tool you made for the community, and posting about it on the forums. I run several CoH-related sites, and have received nothing but support from Lighthouse here, so as long as you're not selling anything you should be fine. (>.> not to mention my build planner has a build sharing/rating system too <.<
Also, you might want to include a bbcode parser for the build views. A bunch of the builds there are using the bbcode formatted exports and it's really difficult to read.

My buddy and I (both players since beta) came up with an idea with a site we hope will help out the community.

We built the site because we wanted a better way to find and rate builds. Don't get me wrong.. the forums are great.. But this site is specifically meant to find builds.
So, if you get a chance check out the site, post, comment, and rate some builds. If you have ANY feedback, positive or negative, please leave it on the forums. We're dedicated to making a great tool for the community.
