The Coliseum 2 [Open RP]
Fell looked around the room, and his eyes rested on Reikoff. He raised his pistol, aiming perfectly. As always.
The bruise was nothing. Under normal circumstances, a small bit of concentration and the bruise would be gone.
It didn't even faze this berserker, however.
On the ground, Reishi jammed both her fists into Becky's sides, repeatedly. After about five hits, she began to pull at her legs with truly savage strength.
Meanwhile, the war of attrition for control over her mind raged within.
Reikoff saw the bullet coming before it even left the barrel, throwing three flashbangs to the ground all around him.
Fell smiled. He loaded his pistol again and advanced.
As her arms came at Becky, she grabbed them and flipped herself over Reishi, cracking her arms and leaving them in a very painful position. Becky kicked off the woman and heard the tendons in one arm snap as Becky rose into the air to observe her opponent. Sword ready, Becky was ready to do real damage.
Reikoff, however, was not there.
"Boo." Was heard faintly as Reikoff's sapper pistol clicked and discharged not five feet to the lawyer's left.
Fell casually stepped aside, dodging the blast. He turned and aimed his pistol at Reikoff again.
"We can do this as long as you like," he said. "Give up. You can't beat me. I'm perfect."
The arms snapped back into place, it was as if she couldn't even fathom pain. Instead, it just made her more angry. The tendons in her left arm were snapped, giving the real Reishi inside a feeling of great pain, and diminished the use of the arm about fifty percent for the next minute or so.
Reishi rose up to meet Becky and grabbed her sword by its blade with her left hand, ignoring the pain, or rather...not feeling it. She then drove her fist right into Becky's throat.
"Fool." Becky struggled to say. Suddenly, the massive blade that is Becky's great sword slammed through Reishi's stomach, "It's...mental power...I can summon it...whenever I want. And...only I can wield it!" Becky kneed the blade through Reishi's stomach and kicked her of gasping for air.
((The resummoning mental sword is a part of her story as she is a clone of Countess Crey and can use mental power to manifest the sword.))
Reikoff snarled, dropping below the bullet.
"Perfection is an impossibility!" He roared, throwing a frag grenade right at the pistoleer.
Reishi was still for a moment. No more than a few seconds. Then, she stood up. The beast was gone.
"[censored] that hurt like a [censored]!" she exclaimed, "Glad I got control...stupid beast doesn't heal itself."
She looked up at Becky and grinned.
"'Fool' is right...I haven't lost a hand to hand fight for 3 years!" she grinned.
Reishi leapt back towards Becky. The sword wound to her stomach hurt, and there was still some residual pain from the arm, but she'd be fine for this fight. She grabbed Becky's legs and hurled her towards the ground.
"See, that monster thing inside me can't heal itself, but can't feel pain either. I CAN heal myself, but I feel the pain," Reishi explained as she landed and walked towards Becky.
Becky flipped back up and manifested her sword. "Well, if you don't want to feel the pain, walk away now." Becky said with a scowl.
The smoke cleared. Fell appeared unharmed; he was holding his hand out in front of himself as though it would protect him. Apparently it had. His hat was singed.
Channelling glowing energy into his hand, Fell touched his hat and it returned to normal. "Very well," he said. "Then I am impossible."
Reikoff snorted. It was one of those pigheaded rich guy kind of supers.
The TacCom snarled, energy crackling through his gloves as he charged...
Fell raised one hand as if to block the charge. With the other he raised his pistol.
But Reikoff was ready, ducking under the hand for CQC, he moves to disarm his opponent.
((And just reminding you, he's a Maltan commander...As in, a Navy SEAL.))
((Yeah, I know. Don't worry, Fell is on a similar level to Schizo. He just tends not to make it obvious.))
Fell had made a mistake.
No, Fell told himself. the grin threatening to leave his face. He pulled it back. He was completely in control. He was invincible. He just had to keep believing that, and nothing could stop him.
Fell glowed with energy, and the glow shot into his pistol. Before Reikoff could disarm him, he fired.
With a thump, the Maltan commander went flying backwards, but he was already emptying his own pistol as he hit the ground.
((I assume that Reikoff was knocked back because he was touching the gun when it fired, not because he was hit. If he was hit, this could be bad for him . . .))
The glowing bullet flew into the center of the arena.
Where it hit, the ground cracked open. The cracks spread to all sides of the arena. In the center, a massive explosion of bright light erupted into being. Anyone anywhere near the blast would be severely jarred at best, dead at worst.
Waiting for the dust to clear so he could find Reikoff, the smile was gone from Fell's face. The corners of his mouth were twitching, as though he was struggling to bring it back. That attack had used nearly all of his chi, he thought as he dropped the bullets Reikoff had fired. He would be severely vulnerable if he did not restore his confidence quickly.
((He dodged it, but you'll see barely.))
Reikoff came charging out of the smoke, left arm moving slowly. He was cursing, too, but this didn't stop him from drawing his P-90 rifle one-handedly and loosing some DU bullets.
His opponent was weakened. Fell could feel his confidence rise. The smile flickered on for a millisecond, but he still needed more time. . .
Fortunately he had not used all of his chi. Fell's hands began to glow and he leaped to the side to dodge Reikoff's bullets, hoping to catch the Malta commander off guard.
His chi was equivalent to his confidence. Fell was the only human on the planet who was capable of being infinitely confident, and thus possessing infinite chi. Had he loosed any of his powers before he would have forfeited his invincibility. . . but now he had nothing to lose.
Reikoff snarled, rolling back into the smoke. Again, he throws gas grenades across the floor of the arena...
Fell coughed as the noxious gasses surrounded him. Such tactics were useless when he was invincible, but with his chi depleted it was a different matter. He felt faint and dizzy. Quickly he clapped his hands together to blow the gas away with a massive rush of air, but he was already severely weakened. His smile was completely gone now.
"Pain is but a fact of life, girly," Reishi mocked, "I wouldn't be as strong as I am if I couldn't handle pain!"
Reishi launched herself directly at becky and stopped when her face was less than an inch away from hers.
"Funny thing 'bout swords, though, they're long, sharp, and hurt like hell, but they don't work so well this close," Reishi said.
She bent her fingers at the knuckle and placed her hand, knuckles first, at Becky's stomach, one inch away. With impressive speed and power, she drove her fist directly into Becky's gut.
"You've heard of Bruce Lee? Well that was the One Inch Punch!"
Reikoff snarled. The gas had been blown away.
Oh well.
Drawing a sap pistol, he fires potshots at random participants.
He can take his time.
