Experiment rolled out from behind his rock, and in a natural, fluid motion, shot a beam.
The shot flew through the air, whistling past one tentacle. It almost hit another, and then practically scraped another, before hitting the Hydra dead in one of it's eyes.
Experiment let out a breath he did not even know he was holding.
"Quick, while it is still frozen, hit it with all you've got!" yelled Experiment 2.0, and he pulled out the assault rifle, shooting bursts at the head, mainly at the eyes, as they seemed a weak spot, hoping he was not the only one shooting at this thing.
Damn it, I'm almost out of ammo - I NEVER run out of ammo!!!
"I hope this works." Langley whispered as he took aim the the eyes. He really hoped Experiment knew what he was shooting at.
The sniper round shattered the air as it left his barrel, then he followed up on full auto...

2.0 could feel the Hydra starting to move slightly already from behind what remained of his rock.
"It is thawing!" he shouted, pulling out the large, clunky Crey Pistol again.
However, as soon as he pulled it out, it was thrown from his hand, as he flew into a tree, bleeding.
He looked up, and saw the Kraken. He had totally forgotten about the Kraken.
He got up, holding his side where he had been hit, and looked around. He could not see the Pistol.
"DAMNIT!" he screamed, pulling out the Assault Rifle, and taking aim at the Kraken, puttng on full auto, and firing over and over again into the large creature. Then, as the Kraken pulled out a tree, and threw it at the hero, he felt his anger rise out of him, and his Dark Armour manifest. It guarded against the tree, and threw it back at the Kraken. It pushed the creature back, and the armour left, draining Experiment.
"Damn... Kraken... Stupid... Hydra..." he muttered to himself, searching the area for the Crey Pistol.
"Need help?" Blade said as he rushed in slicing at the legs of Kraken. "Blade!" a familiar voice yelled. In a flash a sword sliced into the back of the beast. It swung around and almost hit them both but it was hit by a volley of machine gun fire a squad of soldiers. "I've always wanted to take this thing down." Carlos said ordering his soldiers to keep firing. "Becky!" Blade said shooting a glance at her, "What are you doing here?!"
Becky smiled and readied her sword, "I'm here to do my job, and have a little fun in the process."
Experiment nodded to the swordsman, and continued looking for the pistol.
However, right after he saw it by a small flower, a tentacle came flying at him. He did a single backflip, which was enough to keep his head intact, but he was caught by the tentacle coming back up, sending him flying into the window of a small cabin.
Inside, he found many disabled Clockwork minions, and a Prince.
He got an idea.
He started messing with the power supply on the back of the Oscillators, and set their power units to build up energy, and explode when hitting something solid.
He set the prince with a small transmitter, which could be detonated from a small device in his belt.
However, now he had to find some way to activate both.
Then, he looked at the assault rifle. He opened it up, making sure not to harm the flamethrower or grenade launcher case, and took apart the power supply. It was weaker than usual, but would do. He started work on a small generator, and would set it up so as to control the clockwork. However, he would need some help.
"Hey!" Experiment shouted out the window. "Could you guys get me some cover? I am trying to make some MTB's here!"
Experiment, hearing himself, decided now was as good a time as any to start.
He had to make the MTB's, or Mobile Transmitting Bombers, functional as quickly as possible. He could make the oscillators take down the tentacles of the Hydra, while the prince did some major damage to the Head. Or, he could assault the head with the oscillators, and make the prince hurt the Kraken enough for the other heroes to take it down.
The Hydra needed to go down first.
He contined working on the device, hoping the others could work on keeping the building up.
The group heard Experiment and began attacking Kraken. "Backlash special?" Blade asked Becky. Becky grinned and jumped into Blades awaiting hands and was launched into the air as Blade flew into the air as well. As Becky fell, Blade flew down and grabbed her hand and spun her around him and flung her at Kraken. With a single strike cut off on of it's arms. It screamed in pain and began swipping at Becky and Blade who used their skills to dodge the strikes. Carlos ordered his men to assault the tenticles as the others dealt with Kraken.

Coldfire landed at the medical tent in Steel Canyon and collapsed at the entrance. "...damn..." he said as he coughed up a little blood.
Now, joining the Nemesis, the heroes begin to see scattered Council firing weapons into the beast.
Then Trolls.
Then Skuls.
Then it seems that every villaingroup is contributing against the monster...
Flying into the fray, blasting blue thorns at the Kraken and the Hydra, was a man, or more, some sort of creature, with a large metallic skull attached to his chest, and different sets of bone on him.
However, he had some sort of shield around him, much like Experiment 2.0's dark armour. Come to think of it, this humanoid beast had the same type of spine Experiment 2.0 had, except an eerie dark blue.
He threw another, and another, at the Kraken, and flew down to greet it. He did a few rapid slashes, before flying away again. As he turned, his eyes could be seen with a glowing, red fire emitting from them. He also had odd horns, with black tips, coming from the sides of his head, and twisting into spirals.
As he flew around again, his red and black cape could be seen from afar, which is how Experiment 2.0 noticed him...

Experiment 2.0, while working on his MTB's, heard the sounds of spines emitting from someone, which he only ever heard when he did it, or when his arch-nemesis, or, in essence, his curse, did.
Experiment 2.0, when he was "Created", already had dark armour from a mutation. However, his spines were from a science program that Crey Industries had started, by giving him an overdose of the poison he now transfigured in his spines to be able to turn lethal or non-lethal.
However, the poison created a replica of Experiment 2.0, with the same I.Q., same powers, and same type of personality, but with the opposite morality.
Both had spines, but Experiment 2.0's spines were a shade of green, because of the poison. The Replica's spines were dark blue, and Experiment saw that out the window, along with the villain's trademark skull attached to his chest.
"Damn... As if this day could not get any wierder..." he muttered to himself, "First the powers go out, then Nemesis comes along and helps us, THEN the rest of the thugs in Paragon come out and help, and finally, 3.0 is out."
He couldn't believe it.
Experiment 3.0, created after Experiment 2.0, was inside the hero for a time, taking over whenever 2.0 created the Dark Armour, because it gave way to the darkness inside of him. However, with the power of Science, Experiment 2.0 was able to free himself of 3.0, allowing him to control the armour.
However, that meant 3.0 was permanently able to cause damage, and so was weakened to the point of being able to be put into the Zig without causing trouble.
How he got out was a mystery to 2.0.
But he could not forget the MTB's, and got back to work, still puzzling over the assistance of his pure-mutation enemy.
Meanwhile, however, Experiment 3.0 caught 2.0 in his sights, and flew right to the cabin housing the clockwork... And landed right outside, allowing his spines to extract from his body, and walked in the door.
"Hello, Experiment." said 3.0, calmly, approaching the hero.

Carli looked up from where she was treating the victims of a group of school aged heroes who had attacked a group of hellions and suddenly found themselves outnumbered 3 to 1. She ran over calling to Mrrah. "Techie over here!" She said. She knelt down using a crystaline blade she'd found in one of the Carnivals many performances to cut apart the spandex on the fallen hero. "We've got a blunt trauma fracture of the upper 5 ribs and a punctured trachea and lung." She said. "I'm not going to be able to treat this here. We need to get him to the medical center by any means possible asap. Does anyone have any powers left who can help or if not that, than at least a drivers license and access to a car?"

"Hiya Doc, sweet to see you." Tam Khat started to wave from her position seated on a makeshift bed, but quickly winced as the aborted motion reminded her of her broken arm. "Dangest thing today, isn't it? For some odd reason, my regeneration seems.... broken." The catgirl smiled even though her ears were flat against her head.
Jen looked over and smiled a grim smile. "A lot of stuff seems broken. I can't even get my blood pressure monitor that I brought from home to work right today." She walked over and probed the arm. "You've got a shattered arm." She said scratching the Catgirl behind the ears. "What did you do attack a building and lose?"
OOC: Coldfire I took a little liberty with the wounds but I tried to be as close to what would happen if you took a building on and lost.

Coldfire looked up at the woman and reached into his pocket. "Don't move." She said to him putting her hand on his arm. "Here." Coldfire said after a pause, he pulled out of his pocket a keychain with only one key on it, "My car is at Icon."
((BTW, Coldfire drives a 1970 302 Boss Mustang, black.))
Not long after 3.0's entry, Clockwork Oscillators started flying out of the cabin, in a long line to the Hydra. They avoided some incoming acid, and hit each tentacle with two each.
Most of the tentacles stayed up, though very badly damage. Two of them though, fell. They went below the water, seemingly disappearing.
However, Experiments 2.0 and 3.0 had not expected the other tentacles to stay up.
The Prince was meant to run at the Head of the Hydra, and explode, making it easier for the other heroes and villain groups to take down the creature.
Now the Prince would not even come close.
"Hey, 2.0," said Experiment 3.0, "I will go into the fight, and help out. You stick around here and wait until the coast is clear to send in the Prince."
2.0 nodded in agreement, making the final tweaks to the Prince, as his other half flew out the door, into the fray.

"Leave that to me!" Langley shouted from behind his newest rock, aiming his weapon at the thing, "I'll get its attention!"
With that he took aim and fired his LRM as well as the sapper he had captured from the Malta, causing the creature to roar up and send its tentacles streaking towards him.
"SHIII---" he screamed, taking off running as the massive arms smashed his rock to pieces, crashing into the ground beind him.
"For Pete's sake, SHOOT IT!!!"
