I have an interesting memory. I can forget certain things in seconds, but others will stick with me forever.

Because foe the Carnival of Shadows backgrounder, pretty much all the information from the 45-50 Carnie arc was spilt and people complained about too many spoilers.
[/ QUOTE ] Funny enough, the Carnival backstory was posted by IGN or someone even before the game was in beta, so some of us already knew the story even before the villains were in the game.
I understand the "no spoiling" wish of some, but the CoH/CoV universe is so rich with great background stories, it'd be a shame to keep them back, especially the really spicy stuff, like the connection of factions and who with whom.

I thought it was another solid addition, although I agree that the Skull's backgrounder had a bit more flair to it. Still, more solid work from you, Arctic....keep em coming.
BTW: Really liked the "rave flier" for the V-Day event. Good to see some non-background stuff out there. I didn't say it before, but nice work on that one too
Hey...new to the game and the forum. I'm looking for low level noobies to play with. I would really like to get the most out of the MMORPG experience, and I have been disappointed before. I am thinking of rolling either a blaster or a defender? Are these lame choices for a beginner? Are there still noobies out there whoe haven't been playing forever willing to play with me? Just looking for some fun. Please respond if interested in noobie teaming.
jboogie,
As a former n00b myself, welcome to Paragon City!
I'd say ALL of us are happy to team. Frankly you'd be surprised how easy it is to get a Pick Up Group (PUG) going.
As far as characters go, I'd say pick a concept and go with it. Look at the different Archtypes and see which power sets they provide give you the closest match to your desired goal.
Finally, as so many people have commented around here, it's a GAME...so have FUN!
Relax...play...we're all happy to help if you just ask. Plenty of folks have helped me, and I'm happy to return the favor.

Agreed, have fun: Unless you're in the totally wrong timezone (like me ) you can usually get a PuG relatively easily no matter what you are (though Defenders are always in demand, of course)
I'd say Blaster is a relatively good choice for a beginner (my main is a blaster) Defender requires you to be a bit more vigilant and know what you're doing (as, while effective, the tools you bring are a bit less straightforward than "fireball 'em in the nuts."
Happy gaming though!

Cool, I really enjoy these villain backgrounds. But still, they're not deep enough for me! In the Skull one, the important relation to Sebastian Frost of the Family wasn't mentioned. And for the Hellions there's a close relations to the Warriors, since it was Odysseus who gave Pocker his powers! Why are those being let out?
