I can see it now, City of Summer Holidays. Listen to your favourite easy listening guitar solos, while giving your toon a tan. Get to drive your own double decker bus.
You a fan of Cliff Richard too?
* I fully expect most people won't get this joke *

that book from Image? yeah, I liked that alot too
I doubt there will be another expansion game. I"m hoping for more upper level content, like more levels, powers, or even some more ATs would be kewl.
How 'bout City of Elvis? It could be a city of aliens that all look like Elvis.
"Yeah man, you know people from outer space,
people from outer space they come up to me.
They don't look like like Doctor Spock.
They don't look like Klingons,
all that Star Trek jive.
They look like Elvis.
ELVIS!
Everybody in outer space looks like Elvis.
Cause Elvis is a perfect being.
We are all moving in perfect peace and harmony towards Elvisness
Soon all will become Elvis.
Everything everywhere will be Elvis.
Why do you think they call it evolution anyway?
It's really Elvislution!
Elvislution!"

OK. I havnt had a chance to read all of this thread, but read one post that got me thinking. What if the next took place in the place where the Omega Team (pretty sure thats their name, the Hero-1 Group) went to stop the Rikti. I remember some redname saying something about Hero-1's return. What if he came back and told about this new world, and it opened up for people to go to. Might be interesting. Could expand on the whole Rikti story, could have a Space element to it. Just food for though... hmmm Im hungry.

Okay. Here's one better. Actually thought about this before. CITY OF ORIGINS: a place where you can switch between your hero or villain character to a normal, every day, average Joe. All the C. Kentsvillians and P. Parkersons say hooray.
Work a real job.
Get married.
Have children.
Risk your identity being revealed.
Risk losing said family and careers.
Identity Emergency all over again.
On another note: Remember the comic Damage Control? Maybe a standalone surrounding this theme.
Make Mine Cryptic.

I just thought of this and hope that it hasn't already been threaded: CITY OF MONSTERS. They're not villains, they're not heroes, but they'd be HUMUNGOUS, GIGANTIC, ENORMOUS creatures --- Robots, Dragons, Apes, Aliens, Dinosaurs that can hamper any hero's or villain's plans. Imagine a Godzilla-like creature wreaking havoc on Neo-Paragon (like Neo-Tokyo). It's a "Rumpuge" mmo, if you know what I mean.
I personally love the idea of a pulp noir type city. It could take place in Paragon City's past.
Also a Horror theme (Werewolf by night, Tomb of Dracula, Man-Thing, Swamp Thing, etc.) has always been an integral part of the comics.
Don't mess with Texas!

The Prisoner
Except it's a city instead of "The Villiage", and super hero/villians instead of spies. That would be an awesome environment, and the missions would be more like mysteries, real mind benders to figure out what's really happening....
Anyone else familiar with the old TV show "The Prisoner" ?
City of Shadows? Makes me think of Gotham. Dark and dirty.

Does owning all 17 episodes count?
It could be cool, but it'd be hard to capture that 'feel' in a game more heavily oriented towards people in spandex beating on one another. Still, it's something to think about... I wouldn't be surprised if the skill system didn't usher in City of Spies as well (as they'd be a bit more skill/cunning oriented than power oriented- although there'd certainly be plenty of room for that). They'd make as much of their XP from skill usage and keeping out of sight than in-your-face combat; a showy James Bond-esque "famous spy" is usually very shortly a caught-and-killed spy.
Be seeing you!

I saw the section titled How long will COH last? Well i recall statesman saying he had ideas for years to come. In an interview (cant recall who with), he had City of Spies in the rafters(atleast wanted that after COV). Could this be the next stand alone creation for an already massive awsome hero/villian world? Let's hope so!

Well, maybe the next game will be City of Identical Player Characters, in which everyone has the same abilities and appearance and the quest will be to die over and over again.
i think city of apathetic people would be a fun game....
"i would go stop that hellion from robbing that woman but i just dont feel like it today...."
I'd rather see City of Retirees
The game would take place in Florida...and you would have extensive choices of how many wrinkles you wanted your character to have...and how high their pants would be pulled up to their chest. You would have different shorts and sandles to choose from as well as a speedo.
There would be a crafting part to the game...you would have to find teeth during missions to the store or walking around in order to craft dentures, because in one of the later missions you will have to try to eat solid food.
There would be mini-games like bingo and "get up off the floor"
I hear it's suppose to come out after City of Spies...
Dont know if it will be next but...
meteorites hit down in Bloody Bay. And the shivan appear. these could be the precursors to a massive invasion. A post apocalyptic Paragon City with huge alien machines scouring the streets hunting down heroes and villains alike..... Or perhaps the meteorites react with the portals to open a full two way system to a shadow realm leading to a war between COH/CoV and shadow copies of ourselves.
I cant see how pulp heroes would interact with the current CoH or CoV... rocketman , doc savage, the shadow, the phantom etc dont have the same range of super powers . Buck rogers rocket ships are far less technologically advanced than anything in CoH. Dont get me wrong, I'd love to play a vigilante character with no superpowers but i think I would get a bit sick of getting splattered by every outcast cooler, brick or scorcher I came across all the way up to 40th level....

YES CITY OF SHADOWS!
All shadow effects currently in game will be nerfed over the next 6 months to high noon!
In the expansion you will be able to add shadows to everything from capes to heroes to trees to that bench over there, EVERYTHING!
In the new zone there will be no lighting at all, just hundreds upon hundreds of fences and steps that lead up and down hills wedged between buildings. The new area will also feature a remake of the classic 'warehouse' with -Shadowy Lighting- effects never before seen. Make sure you've got the latest and greatest PC under the sun because you need it for all the shadows you're going to have to render!
Shadows: ENABLED BABY!
