WonderCon
How about Toronto or Buffalo or Detriot or Chicago or even Toledo...
Someplace where I wouldn't have to drive a whole day to get there.

Mako is a really cool guy, had some great info on CoV ...
[/ QUOTE ]
I sincerely hope you've just forgotten to tell us this information and it's not one of those "off the record" things.
Otherwise I'll have to kill you and eat your brains, thus gaining your knowledge.
[/ QUOTE ]
I beleive I shared what I could:
* Villans get minions, deisng your own thugs kinda thing
* Dozens of new costume options
* How villians interact with in Paragon City is unsolved
* Villians have 4 AT's with unique powersets
* Newer (better?) zones for CoV
* Probably forgetting some...
[/ QUOTE ]
Well okay... I suppose your brains are safe for now.

Statesman said several parts of the UI are under scrutiny and are in need of being improved. For exmample Issue #4 has point-n-click travel.
[/ QUOTE ]
Point and Click travel? Could you elaborate? Do you mean clicking on a place in front of you and your hero runs there?
Anything else about the UI in particular?
Thanks for all the info
More likely, it's hold a mouse button and move in the direction you drag. Similar to the way you do this now and rotate your hero but with the added functionality that if you drag the mouse the hero will move, as well. This is my assumption only.

Just wanted to say "thanks!" for all those who spoke with Statesman or Lord Recluse "off the record" and actually respected it here on these boards. The fans on these forums are by far a cut above the norm.
I also had a great time meeting so many of you at WonderCon. It was great to see how excited people are about CoV!
See you at GenCon and Origins.

Hail Shane and Well Met!

No I can't they didn't have it to test. I just know what Lord Recluse (Zeb) told me. Cool guy, Zeb. Anyhoo, he said it was for the 1% that couldn't handle WASD+mouse controls. So I assumed a'la Diablo 2 style, but seriously I don't know for sure.

I still don't get how scrappers can have pistols, they're much more suited for blasters, IMO.
[/ QUOTE ]
When you look at it from the basic concept of ranged vs melee, then yes, pistols should be blaster primaries.
But, when you apply COH physics to it, and consider a pistol is a short ranged weapon, it is more suited to a scrapper. Blasters can't get close. I play one, I know. Pistol range will probably be lower than the 1st Blaster attack power. If you're a blaster thats not where you want to be standing! Pistol Scrappers, IMO will probably have a few punches and kicks thrown in there to keep it in line with other scrappers.
Pistol welders on TV and the like normally are pretty decent fighters too. Does Jack Bauer ever get one shotted? Hell no
[/ QUOTE ]
Chances are, it will probably have the lowest damage of any scrapper primary. But it will have range to compensate. I will still definately make a character for it regardless.

any clues on what might happen to regen?
[/ QUOTE ]
Why? Regen was just toned down some with I3.
[/ QUOTE ]
Regen has been "toned down" about 3 times =\.

I just came back from the third day of this awesome event.
Highlights for me:
Best Moment of the Whole Damn Thing:
-Right before I left today, I realized that I'd dropped a set of blueprints from Mallrats that I'd bought earlier in the day. Obviously, somebody made off with them and I never saw them again. In desperation, I returned to the View Askew booth to see if by some far off chance I could get replacements. The guy who played Steve-Dave in Mallrats was working the counter, and reeeallly didn't seem enthusiastic about the giving [censored] away for free idea. Then, who should walk around the corner but Kevin Smith. As I'm trying to remain dignified and NOT turn into a drooling fanboy, he says "We have the display blueprints, but they're a little ripped, you want 'em?" He gives me the stuff for free. AWESOME guy.

The man's cool. And they've got the Secret Stash shop in Red Bank, NJ (yes, his own comic shop). Which is also cool. The man is 100% geek+++ in the best way.
(Besides, having people film in your birthplace is pretty cool, they used my old church for some of the external shots in Dogma. )
Now if only they'd do something this cool with the Cryptic Crew in DC! Come to Katsucon next year! /beg

and yet it keeps coming back....
It wouldn't surprise me if it were less a la Diablo II, and maybe more like Freelancer (which, oddly enough, worked pretty well) - which used mouse control to, *gasp* pilot a starfighter, in combat even.
Worked pretty well, too.

Will you and States be at any events on the East Coast in the NYC area? If so, when. I don't know of any gaming events in the NYC area or when they are.
[/ QUOTE ]
There aren't any. NYC doesn't get a Gencon or Dragoncon or the like.
HOWEVER... Boston is finally getting a Wizard World this September! Any chance of the CoH team there?
