I think you're a superstar Castle.
I hope at your next job you get to more of a boss then you were here.
I hope the next playerbase treats you more like a person then some indentured servant.
If they do, I hope you get to give them Macho Man elbow drop, from the top turnbuckle, and pin their whiny, childish buts in the middle of the ring.
Lets close this out with a kick-*** flute solo

I love the pictures and I think this is a fantastic idea for a Vet Power.
One of the day job powers you get from the AE buildings is a mission editor you can use anywhere. Is there a cool down timer on that power?
With Power Customization its rather easy to make color choices that look great in the Tailor screen but once out in the "real world" you can find those color picks are an eyesore. Being able to change the colors of your powers in the middle of a lowbie hazard zone and seeing how those color choices look in daylight and at night while blasting lowbie enemies would be a nice perk. -

Is that whole series as awesome as this clip is? -
Is there anyone on the Dev team that was working here when the dev bible first got penned. The clues about the Blood of the Black Stream got added when Zeb Cook was lead devolper of CoV and his position got cut when NCsoft pulled funding for this game.
The Devs have some really good writers on the staff, who are coming up with some great stories. Stories that are shackled to what the game engine can handle. When Dr Aeon has a great idea for a story he has to force it to fit around the MA system. I think he and the others are doing a great job, and if something in the 10 year old story bible gets tossed in the trash I won't cry.
Take Avilans, anther promised EAT. This EAT idea was all connected to wings, and luckily the tech for wings could be applied to every player model. That was a great trade off for a lost story idea. Now players are just free to make Avilans on there own, and inner roleplay the stories the Devs never had the chance to write.
I've got a Praetorain Avilan myself.
Not long after the clues about the Black Stream where added to the game, the Dev staff got cut to 15 people. There wasn't enough staff and funds to develope art assets for this new enemy group.
I'd love to see Egyptian art assets added to the game, if its the Black Stream cool, if it's something else I'll be just as happy. -
You should head over to the Costume Request Thread and make a request there.

I've only skimmed your artwork, and I have to say I dig it. I'm going to save the story for when I go to bed.
I'm not a big fan of the pdf for comics, its great for text heavy items like RPG books and Text Books. I prefer .cbr for comic books. A cbr is just a rar file, you just have to use a special naming format for your pages/images.
That iphone wall paper idea is pretty cool. -
First off, Happy New Year
Below is a storyboard I've set up for a "comic strip" featuring Faux Paw. I'm now at the point I have to write her dialog but I started wondering what's going through Noble Savage's head.
I'm hoping to harness the creative juices of this forum and channel it through Noble Savage.
In each frame Noble has the choice to use a thought bubble, speech bubble or just stay quiet.
I'm asking you to put on those size 33s shoes Noble's wearing and put the words in his mouth.
I'll make a separate strip with the best dialog and post it here.
PS If you have any idea what fonts Noble Savage would use, feel free to pass it along.
Thank You -
Its was going to be a wonderful Christmas at the Cole Imperial Home for War Orphans.

This guy has written some awesome books
Snow Crash
The Baroque Cycle (3 books)
Anathem (my favorite of his)
Cryptonomicon
Stephen R. Donaldson wrote a 5 book series called The Gap Cycle. This series is probably my favorite Scifi.
David Brin has a number of books I've enjoyed
Startide Rising
Uplift War (these two books are in the same universe, I didn't much care for the other books in the series.)
The Postman
Earth -
Emperor Cole's Elite Special Action Force
The Praetorian Rouges
Dingo the Baby Eater
Claws/SR Brute
Robbing the Imperial Museum of Praetoria.
Faux Trot Kinetic Melee/Reg stalker these days
Jackie Nimble
Dual Blades/Energy Stalker
Bushido Codex Katana/Invul Scrapper
Painbow Sprite
EM/EA Brute
This is Aesir Force One, an Axe/Invul brute
Having a bad day

Quote:This is what I said in my post that you quoted.Better AI would be nice but just adding a very brief immobilize to Lady Jane's and Fusionette's attacks could solve alot of the problems players have with these NPCs.
Well it have to be a new power similar to immoblize since Lady Jane's big problem is Cot ghosts running away and LJ trying to chase them down. Ghosts can't be immoblized with any immoblize in the game right now (unless enough mag is stacked?). When it comes to Fusionette her knockback is what is getting her killed since AI isn't smart enough to push it's target towards a wall, but if Fusionette lost her abilty to knock targets down she loses all her damage mitigation.
I think that if these NPCs had a brief secondary effect that immoblized any target, did not grant knock down/back protection but forced all knockback with a mag over 1 to decrease to say 0.95 knockback the problems players have with these missions would decrease.
If every ally NPC had a brief 2 sec immoblize effect attached to each of their single target attacks it would make problems with the AI like Overdrive chasing after a runner into the next giant mob of Arachnos in one of the Rogue tip missions, or Lady Jane chasing, well, everything, occur less often.
The immoblize would help Fusionette keep her target in range, the taunt would help you since Fusionette would stay focused on that mob until it was defeated. If you and Fusionette are attacking a mob of three, she's attacking one target only. If you can finish off the other 2 before she's done, you can attack the next mob on your terms. Where as now, she's going take a shot at anything in range and then switch targets. -
Quote:Fusionette is the aggro queen since she changes targets so often. Instead of her spreading her first 5 attacks over 3 targets, her single target attacks could have a taunt, that taunts Fusionette, not enemy NPCs. These NPCs have no way to prioritize their attacks and targets. If Fusionette's first attack on a Scrounger Slugger compelled her to attack that Scrounger Slugger again instead attacking the Scrounger Gunner standing nearby Fusionette would generate less aggro (IMO) then she does now. The "taunt effect" would only apply to the ally NPC, I'm not suggesting anything like Gauntlet for ally NPCs.
In Fusionette's case, that would just cause her to aggro the whole map that much faster. Even worse than Fusionette would be Lt. Sefu Tendaji or however it's spelled, since he's less squishy than she is.
The leash is a great idea, and turning Fusionette and Lt Sefu into a special Energy Blast set that is knockdown and not knockback would solve Player frustration. -

we have fewer escorts, but we do have many rescues, we could especially use more escorts of the Lady Jane variety where we have to escort the rescuee deeper into mission...provided said rescuee gains a better AI....or else is set to not attack...

Anther problem I have with these NPCs is the way they spread their damage around multiple targets when they should focus one on target. If all the single target attacks Fusionette and LJ use had a taunt-like effect that forces Fus and LJ to attack a target until that target is defeated these NPCs would become more of an asset to Players then the liability they seem to be.
