How having more options than others is equality, I don't know. But I doubt it's going to change any time soon, so you might as well resign yourself to having fewer options because you decide not to make a given character female.

Apologies in advance for any thread derailment that might happen because of this post.
Gender Equality is an impossible goal unless the devs add a huge model for females.

Hurricane is useful for when you're teamed with trollers who spam their AOE immobilization. Repel is the only thing that is going to move NPCs locked into placed by something like Stone Cages, Repel moves things rather slowly so it's not hard to bunch up mobs to help facilitate AOE attacks and Melee auras.
  3. I thought it was pretty funny, and considering how the first half hour of the Ustreams are normally handled, a big improvement.

Hopefully Manticore will be interviewed one day, and hopefully Manticore will sound like Batman.

You should head to backpages or craigslist and see if you can hire someone in your area to give you a hug.

I don't think they went "poof", what happened was the Devs condensed three categories under Head (standard, full masks and masks with hair) into 2 categories. In the reshuffle the Partial Masks no longer cluster together in the costume creator, the options are now listed alphabetically. I've had to rebuild several dozen costume files since the merge, which required a lot of hunting around, but I've never come across a mask option that was missing.

  7. You need to wear the right accessories with classic jodphurs

  8. 2 pairs of pants were added to the game with the steampunk pack. Neither of those were jodphur pants.

  9. Those Jodhpur pants Noble Savage did the concept art for would make a nice Pulp costume piece addition to the game.

    Player's Summit

Something that I thought would be announced at the Summit was a Free for ViP powerset for I23. I could have sworn the devs announced awhile back that a Free for ViP powerset would be released with each new issue.

I thought that was said in an Intrepid Informer but I did a quick scan of those articles didn't find that statement anywhere. Does anyone else remember reading anything like that?

Maybe I'll dig up Von Krieger's transcripts of old Ustreams. Maybe this is a statement Zwill made. And if Zwill lied I'm gonna rub it in his face.

Synapse is tied to the Task Force Commander accolade and we all have that on most of our 50s amirite?

The "night all the time" suggestion was brought up as a way to make Kings Row more like Gotham City. A setting in comics that anyone well agree tells some of the best street level hero stories you can find.

  13. The problem with this mission is the very first portal you see is different then the others. In the second picture you see the portal you need to enter on the left. This is an annoying bug/feature that can be very frustrating the first time you run into it.

I recently discovered that using the tram to go from the north of steel to the south of steel didn't require a player to sit through a loading screen. I'm almost positive this used to not be the case, does anyone know when this awesome QoL upgrade got added to the game?

I was at work until the chose a powerset panel. Did the devs discuss any of the [redacted] powersets today?
  16. This sounds like a bunch of coding work with no financial return. Where is the profit in this?

I got the idea the IP revamp was separate from what the players were suggesting. Aren't we getting an IP revamp and a revamp selected from the player suggestions?
  18. Not a huge fan of the idea, but if we are getting a trading fee added to the game, I would hope the fee is on a sliding scale based on level range.

My 50s can handle trading fees a lot easier then my lowbies.

If this is what passes as Extreme Sexism in 2012 I just have to say
America, you've come a long way baby.

Now how's that for an image: a War Walker repurposed as a construction rig.

I imagine also that Praetor Duncan, penultimate survivor that she is, will feature in this.
I got no problem with giving Praetorians refuge since Hamidon is going to end up killing them if they stay. I think it would be a stupid idea to let them bring weapons of war and take their word for it that those weapons would only be used for peace.

And I don't care if they are armed or not, but those War Walls around Boomtown better stay up as long as those Praetorians are in there.
  22. I'll sign this. Vanguard allows both Heros and Villains to join, players should be given the same freedom, they should be allowed to form groups that span the full spectrum of alingments this game locks you into. I don't see why the FBSA (or whatever the name of the bureaucratic office is) that tells me I must get a license in order to be a hero, deciding who I can and can't join a group with.

The FBSA's authority doesn't apply in Pocket D, DA, Cimerora or Praetoria. I don't understand why the FBSA can dictate who can be in my base and who can join my group.
