My reference point is my wallet.

In 2010 I spent $120 on subscription cost plus $30 for GR and I got 4 new powersets.

In 2012 I will spend $120 on the subscription to this game and get 6 new powersets.

These points are not given for free, you have to remain a subscriber. Something I was doing before but when I wanted new sets (which showed up very infrequently) I had to spend money in excess of my subscription. Now I get these new sets for free.

    I'm saving money.
  3. If I subscribe for a whole year I get 6 new powersets, 1 every 2 months, before I even have to think about spending any extra money on this game. From my point of view all these powersets are free.

  5. I think Statesman "wearing" Manticore's quiver is just a Photoshop error, but if States is really the reincarnation of Zues and States is going to start sporting a quiver full of arrows that turn into thunderbolts, well...

    That would be pretty awesome.

  6. Somebody besides Netflix has broadcast rights to DS9 until later this year. IIRC DS9 will be on Netflix streaming in October.

If we still could I'd +rep you for that post.
  9. Better a Player be bitter and complaining on this board and still paying the monthly subscription then the more popular alternative of quietly canceling their account and filling out that survey NCsoft has you fill out when your subscription is canceled.
  10. I'm sure Redside will get a bump in player numbers with the release of F2P but I doubt it will cause any type of revival like we witnessed during the introduction of Veats and Demon MMs.

It's going to take some sort of new content, Powersets or zones, to move a large number of players redside for any amount of time.

You just gave me some More ideas for new character names.

    More Iron Man
    More Super Man
    More Elongated Man

and you know what they are all available on Virtue. Too bad I have 36 full slots and no desire to delete any of them.

    Statesman statue

    Statesman is at the 40,
    the 30,
    the 20.
He could go all the way.

It's a flash site that is recreating a bunch of old early 80s handheld games.

We have an item called a Mission Computer. It does basically ONE THING ... the Cathedral of Pain.

We have the Pillar of Ice and Flame. It basically enables Flashback Missions.

We have Tip Missions. These are obtained through drops, but the only Tip Missions available to you are the ones which are Level Appropriate to you.

Combine these three functions ... into the Mission Computer.

Allow people to do Flashback Tip Missions so as to permit them to auto-exemp (ala Flashback) to Tip Missions of lower levels ... using the (nigh useless) Mission Computer.

No "new" content need be created for this, other than a UI element which allows players to select a Flashback Tip to run, and specifies the Level Range of that Tip Mission (see Pillar of Ice and Flame UI for how to do this). This system could also allow Flashback Morality Missions to be selected when 10/10 Alignment Missions (of any Level) have been completed.

Do you really think the implementation of this flashback tip mission system of yours only needs a UI interface and it's good to go?

  19. I love this thread!!

It's like a musical but instead of everyone singing, everyone is quoting Star Trek.
