Congratulations!
I made it to 1bil blueside this weekend (finally managed to resist going on a shopping spree before hitting the mark) but haven't had the possibility to upload the pic. -
I have 12 pts on my tanks that don't have KB protection from their powers.
I have 8 points on the non tanks that spend their life in melee and don't have KB protection in their powers.
I have 4 points or 0 (depending on the slots I have on the toon) on the rest of my toons. -
You can have High Collar on a female toon.
I've seen characters' ideas taken from a lot of material(fantasy mostly). The only ones I consider reporting are Super Hero ripoffs (the OP pic is clearly one)
The Aes Sedai and Mord Sith of CoH are safe -
ClawsandEffect, I have a SG friend that had the same "thing" happen to him a month or so ago. If I see him online today, I'll ask him what happened (I'm pretty sure he petitioned it)
-
Its_All_Bout_the_Bunny or any variant that fits the forum's name requirements in length and format.
-
I ran Technician Naylor's arc with my stalker (actual 35-39 range) and he gave me his two arcs, after a couple of out of arc missions, starting by "Last Stand on Mole Point Bravo" then "Portal Hopper" mission then "Automatic Villainy".
Not sure what happened there for you. -
I sent a petition for that very same issue before it was made public and it got escalated the same day and answered the day after. It prolly had a lo to do with the fact I was one of the first asking for the correction to be made.
For those affected by that bug right now, it might take a rather longish time due to the amount of people concerned. -
The I phail award is actually a lucky one, My_name_is_joe (I should know
). You'll be getting MoSTF with your next try.
-
I really don't get where the perception that Mind levels slowly comes from.
Levitate, Mesmerize and Dominate are great damage when slotted as such and you get single target confuse for dangerous mobs.
As far as Mass Confusion is concerned, I wouldn't mind buffing to it but the overall performance of the set doesn't warrant it at all in my opinion.
As someone else pointed out earlier in the thread, only Telekinesis might be worth be looking into. -
Glad to see you had enough people for 2 full teams
-
Something unexpected popped up for Deryial and I. We'll have to sit this one out.
Considering the amount of backup, I'm sure it'll make someone happy
Good Luck to all and ty again for running those, E. -
It's a great combo: good control in fault, oompfh feel and very resilient. IOs make it of course better (HP cap, great regeneration, layered defenses)
Strength of will is a nice emergency power, more useful when you're not IO'ed out in my opinion. -
Devouring Earth are indeed a PITA, just like with every defense set.
Here's mine:

If you go with the cj route, you'll softcap more easily than me. Just wanted fly on that toon -
E,
please add Deryial (50 elec/energy blaster)
add myself as an alternate as well. I'll bring whatever is needed (lvl 50) if I make the cut -
Here is my current build on live.
I tank LGTF/ITF and other stuff without problem. I run the Cimerora Walls at a good pace. Have never tried STF on him though but it should not be a problem either since you need support during that TF.
Build is HP and Regen so it might be a lot different from other builds out there.
Hope it helps.

So, before it came to test we had people that disagreed on principle on the changes and people that were eager to have them implemented.
After the changes were released, we have pretty much the same number of people in each camp.
What does that tell us?
PS: it's 'n'est ce pas' -
I'll be giving my Grav/Thorn another look. Hopefully it will be less of a chore to play him (just got stamina)
-
I use the Dark Pool on my kat/sr scrapper.
It is not a part of my usual chain but the hold and blast prove useful in several situations. -
I started a dark/mace some time ago and while it's not my main focus at the moment (trying to get a villain finally to 50), it's keeping me entertained nicely (26 currently). It's not the awesome build of doom for sure but it serves its role on teams
The synergy is pretty nice between both sets and while endurance IS a problem at the moment, as you said, it's nothing that IOs can't fix.
The start was slow but it's getting better with every level, which is nice in my opinion. -
Hello everyone,
I was wondering if anyone using the Electical Melee set was experiencing the small issue I'm having (TL;DR version at the end):
I tend to solo a lot to see the full storyline Villain side (try to run all arcs as I level) and now that I've entered the 30s, I'm starting to encounter rather hard-to-take-down-fast targets (Downgraded AVs, tough bosses).
I currently have Jacob's Ladder and no Charged Brawl but I do not seem to be hitting multiple targets with JL consistently, rendering the attack kinda subpar.
With Elec attacks focusing on AoE (and thus having slowish recharges), once I'm done with my entire chain, the tough target is still standing and I have to wait a good number of seconds to wait for them to come back up. This is certainly exacerbated by the fact I don't have Hasten (might not be the best idea ever but I'd like to try without it first and will add it later if it really turns out essential to my gameplay)
TL;DR version:
Do other Elec Stalkers use Charged Brawl as an attack chain filler and if so, is it worthwhile?
Thanks! -
I'd still be here but my toons would not be as fun and different one from another in the same AT.
Plus spending rather irresponsibly is fun(was getting close to my first billion and I caved in, respec'ing 4 toons over the weekend and finishing 2 builds to go back to 700 mils lol)
-
I use it atm on villains so I can run all contacts (hidden and not) as I level at a different difficulty than 1, solo, on my stalker. Certain level ranges are pretty tough in that regard. Discovering the CoV story that way has been immensely interesting.
Best QoL feature imo in a game with a story. -
I hit keys and use a basic layout for all my toons
tray 1 to 3 is general powers:
tray 1:
- 1 to 6 is attacks/controls (if on a controller) in the order of my attack chain [4 being taunt on toons that have it],
7 is numpad 0 (useful click)
8 numpad 1 (usually useful clicks)
9 numpad 2 (usually useful clicks)
0 numpad 3 (usually useful clicks)
tray 2:
1 to 4 are attacks (Alt+1 to 4 is easy to use)
5 is bound to Z (usually click location power or enemy toggle)
6 is bound to X (same as above, and fly down is V)
7 is my autopower
8 is numpad 4 (toggle)
9 is numpad 5 (toggle)
0 is numpad 6 (toggle)
tray 3 is utility
1 is self destruction (keying Alt+Ctrl+1 is hard to do by mistake)
2 is bound to T (travel power)
3 is bound to Y (secondary travel)
4 to 7 is junk (Crey pistol etc...) or empty
8 is numpad 7 (toggles/accolades)
9 is numpad 8 (toggles/accolades)
0 is numpad 9 (toggles/accolades)
tray 4 is side by side to the inspirations with veteran rewards and useful temp powers/rest
I use a Logitech g15 so for MM play and chat binds, I use those.
I move with the arrow keys so unless I have a click location, my hands never leave the keyboard. -
Um.
Might have to do with the regen cap being different from one AT to the other (scrapper is 3k, VEATs is 2k) and the base HP as well (VEATs at 50 is 1071 HP)
Given those parameters, Turg's setup looks like a good start (controllers have slightly less HP and the same regen cap)
What you could do (if you have no HP Accolades bonii) as well is use your second build (non IO'ed) and use that one to get bigger damage credit (no reason it shouldn't work) to get rid of you IO HP bonii -
Local_Man has said it all as far as powers go (I personally didn't get EMP pulse but it was more of a question of slots and not being able to fit it in to get to my goal of perma AM/hasten/IW).
The damage is pretty good if you slot Mesmerize, Levitate and Dominate for damage, since even on psi resistant foes, you have the rad damage multipliers and containment.
Mind/rad is a very decent solo build and a great team contribution. Happy hunting!
