I haven't seen a good non-trolling "best of" thread since that one back on Champion that raged ELF STALKER into near coronary heart failure.
List your would be MVP picks in the league for various positions.
Also, list your favorite FPvPL moments throughout the league, DQ jokes notwithstanding, I'm interested to see what gets put here. -
If anyone actually took h0j seriously, congratulations on being an absolute retard.

Quote:idle and support #mad for all of your rage induced whining needs. Our epic team had like 2? months to get up? We are only team that still runs fire/elec and fire/em blasters that are not even fully slotted or accoladed. Sure, i could be always nice like you Kat, but did it help the team? Not really. They sit there and expect you to feed them pvp knowledge and awesomeness with silver spoon w/o moving even a finger themself. What is the point to join legaue when all you do is talking big about how pvpers should teach you pvp but don't do **** at all.

Silit beat me to posting the match scores. I'm terrible.

I saw the name HOMIES earlier on my global list and got excited.

Quote:It's pretty sad when that's your only claim to fame when it comes to PvP. I played my thermal corr with less HP on test and never died to UJL. And my therm had a TON of powers completely unslotted.i played against vori on a fire/sonic/mu corr with 1350 hp and only died once.
discuss.
I don't know if you're trying to insinuate that VORI was bad, when they achieved a ladder ranking that UJL never reached, and your team is running a line-up that even you admitted was VORI inspired.
Moving on. -

Quote:HP doesn't play this game anymore and he could outplay you on every single one of the millions of characters that you have.if you're hp, you were in DoA.
DoA was UJL's Emo B-team + forst eld h.
don't think you're allowed to speak anymore.
It's funny, because you used to talk to me like I was beneath you and you were on some whole new level in terms of pvp experience and skill. Two weeks later you were sending me private messages telling me that I was the fastest locking player that you'd ever teamed with.
You're not as knowledgeable as you think, HP is what you aspire to be: a utility player who can fill any role on any team.
Don't think you're allowed to act hard on the forums because you're the only one left that's still legitimately forum PvPing. You're about as hard as yogurt. -

I'd wager that if your team was doing better in the league and you weren't getting consistently smashed by everyone on everything that you play, you wouldn't be as "bored".

Quote:Redside PvP was much slower paced and left room for flexibility regarding line-ups.partially in disagreement.
the renegays sorta proved that there are such things as situationally optimal lineups.
when everyone is switching back and forth, a lot of the new idiots playing this game will have zero idea how to optimize in specific situations.
My point is that the diversity people are harping on about isn't going to happen, not because a match default is set for a lower amount of players. -
Just making a general point here, considering my post(s) raged several fat nerds.
No matter what format a league opts to run, be it 5v5 to 8v8, the playerbase is going to find the optimal team set up to run. So for those that are arguing that colds/therms/MMs become viable and that a lower default allows for "creativity" is an idiot if they think that teams won't min/max until they find what works best to allow them the highest probability of winning.
But I'm crazy, I'm one of the rare few apparently that doesn't care what I play (Trust me, I hate playing Rad, and I'm terrible at it) as long as I'm playing with a group of people that don't make me want to stab myself in the clavicle.
It used to be that we wanted to see matches go higher than 8v8s. It's unfortunate that we're drifting to lower defaults as an actual suggestion. And I still see no real justification for it.
Also, I like how Johnnykat lead his argument with "you don't understand what 'mini' means".
Here, let me address that. A "mini" ladder is retarded. The format should be higher. Go do some aerobics. -

Quote:I just justified my point in the last post. Is reading that much of a difficulty for you?The probability of a team having enough to play 8v8 and refusing to do so would benefit them how? It wouldn't. There is no dooshbag card to be played there really. However a team having 8 and the other team only having 5 can and will definitely be a doosh and refuse to scale down to 5v5.
If Team A for example has 8 players available, but knows for certain that they win more often under a 5v5 format by running a very strict team set-up, they're going to limit Team B who also has 8 players available from playing in the 8v8 format because it benefits them and gives them a higher chance of securing themselves a win. I can most certainly see that happening. Where's the evidence? Look at the teams who legitimately rocked teams filled with taunters with the intention of forcing a tie.
People will avoid an 8v8 because it requires more of their teammates being practiced and on point. A 5v5 can leave more room for error.
If you are making a smaller number the minimum, players and teams trying to appeal to the safe side will enforce that, and teams that actively want to play at an 8v8 level are going to be left out in the cold. My solution provides a compromise in that it sets 8v8 as the default, but at least allows for a 6v7 or 6v6 if both teams agree.
Hell, you can even give forfeit wins absolutely no merit in ladder rankings, forcing both teams to reschedule a match and play it at another time.
Again, I love how I'm the only one trying to reach a compromise here, but you're the PvPEC rep. -

Quote:With a league, there would be no D8 or D6.By doing that you factor in the doosh bag feasibility. So team A only has 5 people and team B has 8 people and refuses to do 5v5 and forces them to either forfeit or play short.
Currently D8 teams have 12 on a roster. This ladder will only allow 10 on a roster. Currently on many d8 fights you see teams having to play D6's whether they want to or not because not enough showed up. With this ladder each team is allowed 2 less people so the probability of not having 8 show up is even greater.
I'm sorry, but the entire concept of "Division 8" and "Division 6" is absolutely retarded to begin with. It's simple, you're either good enough to start for a team, or you're not. If you're not, you practice and prove that you ARE capable of starting for a team, and then you play. That's how it was before, that's how I feel it personally should be.
"Dooshbag feasibility" as you put it goes both ways. Teams that are given a "default" format of 5v5 could easily limit a team that has 8 skilled players from facing off against them in an 8v8 format if both teams have the players to accommodate.
A decent compromise to this is playing with an 8v8 format, with a 6v6 as the minimum. If a team is short, the opposing team can either play 6v6 to match their opponent, or play 6v7 at the very worst.
That seems fair to me. -
