  1. Hey guys, I am either going to be late, or won't make it tomorrow night. Some family stuff for mother's day which we are doing after mother's day, lol. So either see you a bit late, or I won't be on at all.

  6. What I would like to see is different designs for rocket boots. For jump boots. For piston boots. How much effort does it take to create different designs? Would people like to see this. Kind of a suggestion/question thread, lol.

    On the Schedule

    I have to say, I was standoffish to the whole F2P concept. Having said that, I have been pleased overall with the rate of new things, powers, items, rocket board, flying carpet pets and so on. It has been a good surprise. This was the second MMO I ever played, but the longest. Don't even count the 30 days I did 5 years ago.

    Having said that, when will we see them tackle alternate travel powers aside from devices used for travelling? How many other types can they realistically do? (some form of sliding, gliding maybe, travel lines, some type of air cyclones or something).
  9. When are they going to make the rocket pack permanent as a Travel Power? Why is it still only 30 days? I would like to see this up for sale like rocket board and flying carpet.
  10. I think this is a great way to actually expose players to the content that is out there. Not a bad idea at all, plus the rewards will make it enticing.
  11. Not sure what you would do with scrappers, they are real killers, nuff said. They dish it out something fierce.
  12. Hmm, is it perception, or is it reality. It does seem as though there has been a mix of powers coming out recently. Having said that, it seems as though it has been melee heavy. Would like to see a continued mix. I think they have done a good job so far. F2P seems to be "inspiring" them. Having said that, I have a feeling some types of powers we'll never get. Growth, shrinking, stretching, grappling, water, are some that come to mind.
  13. I think New Animations are just as important as New Powers. You move forward, but you don't forget the older powers because like cars, they need tweaks, changes, and modifications to make them better. This obviously would be done over time, but it could be done given the expertise they have developed over 7 years of time.

    I'm not a programmer, and I know it takes a lot of work, but there is experience there that hopefully could offset that.

    Tanker Damage

    Well as it stands now, I am thinking of two combos, both involving SS. One would either be shield, or one would be Invul.

    But SS is going to be the secondary for my tank.
  15. Ok, so on my one existing tank, I should do a respec and get rid of Unstoppable, but make sure I take all the rest. I used to think Unstoppable was good, but I quickly learned that it wasn't all it was cracked up to be.

    Archetypes

    Personally I would like to see more powers and alternate animations for existing powers taking up the Devs resources than a whole new Archetype with powersets built around it. Think we would get more bang for our buck that way.

    Hmmm, I will keep an eye on the ? thing. This isn't the first time it has been pointed out, lol.

    I guess sometimes I get caught up thinking superheroes and how their powers may grow in strength over time, and some develop new powers, but for the most part what you see is what you get. Now having said that, this is a game, and that mechanic wouldn't work so well because we need rewards for levelling and gaining experience for our heroes. The system works as it stands, just commenting because I find on some characters I don't really use a lot of the powers.

    Noob juice, almost 5 years in. For me it's more about building a concept/character. I have a sonic/elec blaster where a lot of powers don't get used. Lvl 50, incarnate slotted and so on.

    I have a 50 tank, incarnate slotted, where he does use most if not all of his powers. Just a question, that's all.

    Noob juice, did you look at my start date, lol.

    Tanker Damage

    It was a general question. Thinking of a SS/Shield, or SS/Invul tanker. I only have 1 tank going now, but tanks are my favorite to play.

    Didn't know that the secondary would make a difference.
  20. Yeah, figured that on unstoppable after using it a few times. But I hate respecting, so I have it, but never use it.

    Do we even know if they are considering additional Archetypes?
  22. Should I stay away from the energy resistance and can't remember, but the other passive? Not the lethal/smashing one, but the other one.

    What Invulnerability powers should I stay away from period.

    BTW, invulnerability is my fave tanker power and like it on scrappers too.

    If I want to maximize tanker damage, am I better off Frankenslotting than actually going for sets. So like thinking ACC/DAM, with some RECH and ENDRED thrown in as well for 6 slotting powers.

    Powers

    I find as I go up in level, usually early 30's, I am done taking powers.........but I have too. How many of you don't even use some of your powers? I know I don't, especially in a group dynamic, which is what I do mostly. Run a lot of TFs and part of a static group.

    Just a thought, should there be an option to turn power selection off, and instead take more enhancement slots. Problem I see there is balance. Problem I see there is that probably most people wouldn't like this.

    Thoughts?
