Are we allowed to rotate the team on the night? For example, one team may have more than 8 people turn up and want to give everyone atleast 1 match for showing up.

SB won't overcome the -Recovery from Heat Exhaustion, but slottted Recovery Aura or Adrenaline Boost will.

D'oh! Ok... Take 1 heal slot off Regen aura and stick it in AB. 6 slot regen aura later on.. Or get some HOs

I dont think there will be only 1 team from Union, and I hope it is more SG based like the old "International Challenge" used to be.

I agree with this to a certain extent. I stopped playing my emp last night because he is only 42 and so prioty target for the opposition. I spent the whole night running unable to buff the team (I know that's the point, but were not supposed to be playing that competitively, and it puts newer people off).
When I'm calling targets for a team I never call the same target twice in quick succession and make a point of going after the harder to kill members of the opposition too (tanks/scrappers/brutes).
I do wish people would play a bit more sportingly at times and spread the cage around, aswell as varying the targets a bit. -

Im not sure where Regen rate caps out, but regen aura gives +500% as base and AB gives only 50%, so better to put heal slots on there.
Superior Invis is a must, imo, from as early as pos and needs to be slotted 3 end reduc.
Im not sure about defender AB, but troller needs 1 end mod to overcome -recov from nuking, and 2 to be comfortable. 3 is overkill in any circumstance.. and I wouldnt bother with end mod on recovery aura either, it will keep everyone with max end except after a blaster nukes, but that's what AB is for.
CM probably doesnt need more than 1 recharge, but it is nice to have more.
Leaping is obviously optional and you could pick up flight or leadership (or some more of the primary) instead, but Hasten is another essential for emp imo. -

I wouldnt think so, even against an AV with no s/l or fire resist.. Could be wrong though, but remember they also have an acc check so not all going to hit.
The main problem with this tactic that I can see would be when you come up against AVs with huge s/l resistance like Marauder. Id like to see it done though -
I only turned up around 10:30ish but was great fun for the last hour. I did turn up at 7ish but it was fairly deserted.. I'll turn up early again next week and stick it out if im available

The current format works ok, but a little more diversity in the kinds of matches would be nice.
I don't like the idea of bringing set teams, but maybe a spontaneous 10 man domination tournament, teams of 4, set up two matches and play with the team you are assigned to, then carry those teams over into next round with winners playing each other and losers facing off for 3rd place.
Things like that would be good, short, easy to organise and everyone has a fair chance of winning.
Or we could just keep it the same with lots of big matches and try and get something like Squished or the infamous WalnuTgoing every few weeks aswell.

My slotting on the above build is not done in any particular order, just made sure everything was slotted as it should be by level 50. As I said, I'll try and do a PvE build this afternoon if I get time, and slot it correctly as if I was currently levelling. -

Assuming that the non-energy team is well balanced, and not just damage dealers also, as you suggested. -
I wouldn't follow this build if you are still levelling atm. You'll want to get short circuit in there somewhere for PvE, and probably more of a ranged chain. Ill try and get a PvE build on here too.
Ball lightning is chosen for the fast animation and subtlety of the DoT. It goes very nicely with TBIn a lot of occasions I would rather have Charged Bolts instead, or even Short Circuit, but it is the best all round choice for the way I play. Others may not find this to be true.
Also, it should be 2 end reducs in Frozen Armor, not recharge reduc. -
A few people have been asking me for a elec/em pvp build so here is one I just whipped up quickly. It's roughly the same as my current duelling build, but Ive left out the HOs and so had to slot slightly differently. Happy to answer any questions people may have, as Im sure some choices may need further explanation.

This build is created for level 50 arena duels but will function well at Warburg level, and ok at Siren's too. It's also built around how I play these sets and Im sure most people will find it lacks ranged damage at all levels. -
I think I can safely say by "duel" he means in the Arena, facing someone at the same level as you and preferably at level 50. For this, both illu/rad and fire/rad are very good.

It's avaialble at level 35 so there is no chance in Siren's or BBYour main problem on illu in those 2 zones will be from /sr stalkers.

I realise that, but I don't think that there is a problem with tank or stalker em. The only noteworthy imbalance in comparison to other sets is blaster em, and that is because by choosing that set you instantly double the secondary effects of all your primary, secondary and epic powers for 70% of the time. The other sets get nothing comparable and tbh, that probably is a little unfair.
For example, pb'd pff cannot be hit through regularly by aim and build up alone, but pb'd aim and build up will hit through consistently. Then think of the effect it has on snowstorm, aid self, stuns etc. You instantly put yourself at a disadvantage to some degree, by not choosing blaster EM, and that is a problem. The tank and stalker versions do not have such a large advantage over the other sets available. -

The PvP we have in the arena on mondays is very friendly and good natured. It is not highly competitive as I think some people get the impression that it is. We run this event to try and get more people involved in PvP, and of late have been struggling to get more than 10-15 people on a regular basis. The kind of people who have posted here are the kind of people we would like to attract to the monday night arena PvP (as much as I know that will never happen for most). This event will only damage that turn-out further.
Most of the people who have posted here do not want to join in the arena, this does not mean that we would not like to partake in large scale activity in the zones. To assume the two events would have a completely seperate demographic is obviously incorrect.
I don't mean to post in a negative way or de-rail the thread at all, as I said before I'm glad (and suprised) to see PvP events of different kinds receiving such a healthy feedback. -

Monday night has been arena PvP night on test for a long time. Although it's great to see a lot of different people agreeing to join in with this (look through the latest 'Pvp Night' thread and it's all the usual suspects...) I can't help but be a little disappointed that, even though it's been mentioned twice in this thread, you have failed to acknowledge that you are scheduling a PvP event for the same time as an existing, and long standing event of a similar nature -

Edit: To be more specific.. Most evenings 6-9pm or weekends. When you get a match scheduled with one duo I'll see if I can bring a challenge at the same time.
