I thought it said "If found return to Oa."

Don't know her, but I can't feel sad for someone that dies at that age. She lived a good life and it was her time.

Personally, I will wait for the anniversary to get these. Got most of the AV badges during the last anniversary.

Should deserve a full episode or two rather than a passing comment.

And there will be people that still doubt that we are on a planet orbiting a sun which orbits around a galactic center. Orbiting around the galactic center is easier to doubt since it takes too long to complete a revolution.

Superheroes have always seemed reactionary to me. Only some of the superheroes' alter egos actually acted first towards some goal. It is always save the planet from this threat or save citizen from this mugger and not solve some of the world problems by figuring out how they generate so much energy. For example, analyzing Superman for a few years could give humanity a starship since he is almost invulnerable, can move faster than light depending on which Superman, and has an amazing efficient solar energy system.
Something to consider is how does Superpowers affect people based on location and circumstance. Would a starving child in a war-torn country of Africa be more likely to try to help his people or would he ditch them and head to somewhere where he can obtain fame and fortune. -
I can understand why they killed off Data and put his memories in a new body. Data is supposed to be immortal or at least not age and it has been about 20 years since TNG aired. Using a different actor to play Data would have been the best possible solution.

And it looks like Simpsons is becoming more like Family Guy. Yesterday's opening sketch of the Chinese factory producing Simpson's merchandise was in bad taste. Funny, but still bad taste. Although, I laughed at last week's billboard in the opening sketch with Professor Frink's Sex/Kill Bot. Make sure switch is in correct position.

Doctor Who has already covered Area 51. They made an animated story about it. Although there is no mention of Area 51 in the article. Besides Area 51 is in Nevada not Utah. There is The Vault in Utah, but that is a museum of Alien Artifacts.

Quote:Agreed. I was rather disappointed by the lack of aliens in Star Trek. It seems like 90% of Starfleet is human. STO on the other hand has too many alien racesWhere did I ever say the ships I'm talking about belonged to the Federation? There are plenty of races that wouldn't lose any sleep over blowing up the Earth.
Klingons
Romulans
Borg
Nausicans
Tholians
Gorn
Dominion
Cardassians
Breen
Ferengi
Earth sucks.
Although, I guess Zombies could work for Transformers depending on the type. If it is magical, then all reason doesn't work, but regular biological infection won't work. The Borg has the better chance of infecting Transformers.
The possibility of doing a true multiverse crossover is hard to do based on copyright laws. Theoretically, you could have Harry Potter, Star Wars, Star Trek, and Glee appearing in the same story. Would be an interesting episode to watch. -
Great news, but I would prefer that they would release new Reboot. I hate it when they end a series on a cliffhanger.

Quote:Actually it will happen soon, relatively speaking. 100 years ago, we did not have as much as we do now. Cars were a rarity. No access to computers, major electrical networks, and other things we consider necessities. Just look at 10 years ago. Social networking was only getting started. Facebook, iPhones, iPods, and Twitter didn't exist. 10 years from now will cause us to see interesting changes with the development of certain technologies like nanotechnology and 100 years from now will change the very face of humanity that we will not even be able to imagine what the world will be like just like a person from 100 years ago would not be to imagine what the current world is like. 100 years from now we might have probes actually travelling toward various star systems of interest or even have people on those planets of interest depending on whether someone develops certain technologies. Before we can get to the MOON or MARS let alone this new planet we have to sort some things out:
1) Efficient transport of more than 2-3 people at a time. 10-20 might not even be enough.
2) Non-petroleum based fuel source that is efficient enough to run a colony. There probably won't be much petroleum out there until we can get to some of Jupiter's moons.
3) Building materials that can withstand solar and cosmic radiation. We've been spoiled by our magnetic field.
4) Figure out how to get the right atmosphere and water, then food. Gravity would be nice too.
5) Building and maintaining a biosphere for a small hamlet to start, then increase the size and population.
In summary, it ain't happening anytime soon. I'd like to see us try and shoot for a moon colony, it would definitely spark innovations and improvements for life on Earth. And those people that go to the moon first? They aren't going to have many if any of the great creature comforts we take for granted. Neither did the pioneers of unsettled lands here on earth, but their hard work to set a foundation has made what we enjoy today possible.
Whew. </off soapboax> -
The original Berserk anime would have been better if they kept that ending out of it. They removed quite a few supernatural elements from the story, then surprise you with this ending. I am not sure if there was any supernatural elements in the anime aside from the ending. The original anime worked better as a standard historical military fantasy.

Which brings up the question on how many alien exploration teams were killed because of the Iris or buried stargates. Not all races have the technology to create a robot to see if the other side is safe and unobstructed.
-
Its all about working on a budget. Building a pit around the stargate with a retractable bridge would be an unnecessary expense.
-
Chances are that you will suffer from severe back pain rather than get stronger. Would be easier and cheaper to get some 100 kilogram weights and place them on your hands and legs or start off at 5 kilograms and go up. Doing any activity with 5 kilos on each limb should be a sufficient training program.

Quote:Protagonists in TV shows don't like to make the tough decisions to save themselves. That was originally the plan, but when Telford walked through the gate, the plan was discarded. I am hoping that at least some of the Lucian Alliance will stay aboard to give a darker contrast to the human crew. This show seems too similar to Voyager, but Voyager nerfed the Maquis too quickly while that might not be the case for the Lucian Alliance that work well with others. Only saw two in the entire crew, the women that shot the acting leader and the guy that was marooned with his followers.Of course it was stupid since the whole "invasion" could have been resolved simply by either closing off the gate room and evacuating the atmosphere to the point that the invaders would have passed out from lack of oxygen shortly after arriving, or totally venting the atmosphere and letting them die upon arrival.

Apparently there is an actual mission for the Destiny crew that will be revealed early this season, might be episode 8. The magic aliens could be a part of that.
-
Or find someone that can't have their mind read. That was the premise of an episode in Dark Angel. The freak of the week could read minds, but chose this unattractive guy because there always needs to be a bit of mystery in the romance or else it gets boring or annoying.

I thought the Dad looked familiar. He is the Thing on the Fantastic Four movie with Jessica Alba.

Nope. Or at least not until all Americans are in a hover chair that does everything for them, personal entertainment systems, dress them, wash them, put food in their mouth, and deal with the resulting waste. Americans will be born in the chair and die in the chair.
