If you look at the regular Enhancement screen, then it should show your healing powers go up by a certain amount. The alpha slot is just a global enhancement that affects every power that can use its buff. If you can slot health SOs/IOs, then you can get a boost to your healing effect.

Just the two versions. One for not having the badge and one for having the badge. There are no Veteran DJ accolades or Praetorian specific Day Jobs. There are some day job locations in Praetoria like the hospital, but they are the same as the regular day job. More info can be found here.

What you have to do is explain how Elementals are different than Demons. As well as how the Elementals improve their look and power through upgrades. Fire, Ice, Electricity, Darkness, Metal (Lethal), and Earth are probably the closest you can get. Since Psionics is very debatable as to whether you can have a Psionic Elemental and Toxic is composed of more than one element.

Knew I forgot a step. Haven't played my 'Shade in a while. And I meant Dark Nova instead of Quasar. Quaser seems a bit too situational when I solo against +0/x6.

Had this idea for a movie called Nightstockers. Basically, it was a world where superheroes and supervillains exist and a good portion of the world had some type of superpower. However, not everyone had superpowers so they had to work the same jobs as we do. According to the title of the movie, it would be based around the night crew of a store. Could get some interesting characters like Gorath, Destroyer of Worlds. There is not much money in destroying worlds so Destroyers of Worlds has to work somewhere. It would be interesting to see how superpowers could translate to real world situations like taking out the garbage with a Death Ray. Also thought of adding a cameo of a person looking like Deadpool and/or Wolverine since they seem to have the superpower of being in almost anything.

Actually, I found the opposite to be true. Not enough slots, but too many pointless powers. The only human attacks I took were Gravity Emanation, Gravity Well, and Ebon Eye. I have numerous powers that just have only one slot in them like Grant Invisibility, Invisibility, Maneuvers, and Combat Jumping just so I can slot my pets better and add the LotG recharge global bonus.
My common strategy is Superspeed + Shadow Cloak into a mob, activate Eclipse, activate Nova, then blast everything until nothing is left, then use Stygian Circle to heal up and use Dark Extraction if it is up. -
Behold the power of Three Wolves and a Moon.

Quote:Just ignore whatever description the devs have come up with. If I hate a description, then I come up with something I feel is appropriate for my character. No, thank you. As much as I dislike the Praetorian Lore pets, I would ABHOR them if the game tells me specifically how I got them. I would rather be able to make my own story -- for example, I reprogrammed a robot to work for me.
The only problem I have with the Lore slot is that it has an Incarnate shift attached to it. I will get the Seers Lore slot and maybe the Warworks Lore slot since I like pets. However, forcing people to slot a rare Lore slot because they only want the Incarnate shift is not fair.
If game resources is the main reason why we can't get customizable Lore pets, then how about Game Client Customization where my customized Lore pet only looks customized to my screen and to everyone else it looks a regular Praetorian Pet. -
Some builds are easier than others to make them into characters that can blow anything up. For example, a Warshade requires numerous set bonuses to make Eclipse permanent for an AoE monster with capped resistances. So do you want something that is strong right out of the box or requires some work to be strong?
My choice would be a Mastermind. Robots, Demons, and Thugs seem to be the most popular with Dark, Pain, or Thermal as the secondary. Traps, Storm and Force Field also are somewhat popular, but Traps requires set up time, Storm can be rather annoying for teams, and Force Field is rather dull. -
You can't create Arachnos Soldiers in Praetoria. Although if it is in Rogue Isles, then I don't think having only Rogues would change anything since as far as most features in the game is concerned, Rogue=Villain.

Submariner Janus is in the NW corner of IP and in the bay between the cemetary hill with the Freakshow, Hellfrosts, and Circle of Thorn and Cage Consortium Factory in Sharkhead.

A while back I created a good copy of the Genin for a costume. Only problem was that it was before the Science Booster so he was taller than the average genin. Therefore, it is possible that some hero created a character called Genin. and looked like a Genin or a ninja MM got to the Hollows before me.

Yesterday, I was doing Maria Jenkin's non-arc Marauder mission and he was killing off all the nearby IDF before I saved the IDF from Marauder. Spending twenty years in jail is better than spending twenty years in a hospital.

There are also a couple of books with Gary Seven and Khan and a couple of books that deal with the time between Khan being exiled on the planet and Star Trek II. Just shows that marooning people on a world requires periodic checks if you are a civilized person. IMO, they are better than the usual official Star Trek fan fiction.

This series seems to be the most real out of all the Stargate series. You don't have the superheroic antics of the other series. SG-1 has saved the planet again? I gave out all the medals we could already. Let's give them this cookie for saving the Earth.

I think a more appropriate analogy is where a freespec is given because Enhancement Diversification, Invention enhancements, Inherent Fitness, or some other monumental change is introduced. Your "build" was perfect or at least good enough, but due to some changes like CG, it needs to change. Say I created this movie twenty years ago. I had this scene in my head that I couldn't add because the technology just didn't exist. Now I can add it in, but instead of adding just one scene, I can change the interaction between a few of the characters because I think they would do better to provide depth to the movie.

Quote:The don't touch the temp powers is due to one of the Master of badges requiring that you don't activate the drones and keep them alive. If no one has a temp power to activate the drones, then the drones will stay deactivated.I don't know what the requirements are but my team managed to get it on it first and only try with half the team being a PUG. One guy that was leading by proxy asked us not to click the boxes in the second mish so we didn't. He claimed that not getting the temp powers is what lead to the Master Of... I have no clue but has anyone else heard that or is it the "Don't click Glowies in the Reactor" all over again?

I usually see them, but they always die about 5 seconds after I exit the rooftop for the first time. The main reason why I see them is that I have it set up so that all the target's names are visible. So having a couple of grey cons being destroyed by a bunch of red and purple cons is really noticeable. I just consider them as low level heroes that walked into a high level ambush because some high level hero didn't take care of them.

Quote:That was a rather interesting mission. I certainly wouldn't want to have a TF against an AV with that temp power. Or doing a thorn respec trial and getting to the Tree with the tree already destroyed and the reward already claimed by a bunch of heroes that decided to stealth their way past us.I'm not disagreeing with you. I'm disagreeing with the guy who suggested the story writers should assign motivations. We don't need motivations to prevent the Coming Storm, we just need to not be allowed to cause it. Those of us who would be motivated to actively prevent it already have their reasons.
Besides, the last time story writers tried to assign me a motivation for my villain, I nearly destroyed Sharkhead and got eaten by a giant shark-monster because a disgruntled former Legacy Chain member said it would make me badass and a disgruntled demon said it would be ok. Before that, I was narcissistic enough to allow clones of me to exist. I'd rather keep my own motivations and fail than do something potentially idiotic and succeed through sheer dumb luck, narrative convenience, or somebody else being a bigger idiot.
I agree with you that motivations should be entirely up to the character and not the story. Does my villain save the world because he is being paid to, wants to take it over himself, likes to smash people, or because it would be fun to rub it in the heroes' faces? Does my hero save the world because he is a glory hog, its the right thing to do, likes to smash people, or because he is bored? -
Clones are never a good idea. Either they are the opposite alignment to you and foil your plans or they get tired of you bossing them around. There is also the problem of out of control cloning and determining what to do with them. Might be fun for a villain as target practice, but heroes have a harder time with disposal. Creating secret identities, making sure they are O.K. in their new life, and other tedious tasks give heroes less time to do actual heroics. Quantum duplicates are usually just as bad since you have ripped them away from their own lives. Unless you have complete control over each clone, then it is a complete waste of time.

Which Lore pets do you plan to pick for I20? Personally, I am going for the Seers for the obvious female henchmen reason and they fit my controllermind concept.
Note: There are plenty of "I hate Praetorian Pets" threads so keep the hatred in there. Please keep things civil. -
Quote:Diamagnetic is -To Hit/-regen. Reactive is -res/-health(DoT). There is no -res/-regen Interface.Clarion, most likely, but Barrier's a pretty strong contender. Protection from status effects or making it so they're less likely to hit? Either works for me.
Interface is definitely -res/-regen. Why? As a peacebringer, I'm fairly good at surviving. What I need is a way to do more damage OR have the opponents heal less. -res/-regen doing both? That's perfect. -to hit is strongly resisted in most cases I know of.
Lore? Maybe Clockwork to simulate having minions to clean up in roleplay. The only really useful thing to me from this slot is the level shift.
Judgement? Probably Ion. Controls, please. Very useful. -
I don't mind paying out money for costumes or temp powers because it is my choice, but when actual content is being restricted due to microtransactions, then there is a problem.
Quote:According to Prometheus, the new Ouroboros contact currently on Beta, Cole is not the Coming Storm. He is just the immediate threat that needs to be taken care of before we can take on the Coming Storm. What I'm disappointed with is that quite a bit seems to be ignored. It looks like The Coming Storm was retconned into being "The Well empowers Evil Marcus Cole #908374923874 to invade Earth, finds out Ouroboros is involved and invades there as well."
What's being ignored?
- The shivans being scouts. They seem to have no tie in to the well at all.
- Twilight's Son. If I'm remembering correctly, part of TCS ended up using Kheldians to power starships... aside from the ridiculousness of this from a purely rational standpoint (and the size of, oh, the universe,) it has never had any tie to the well, Incarnates, etc... but ties into an extraterrestrial/extragalactic threat like the Shivans.
- Mender Silos comes from how far in the future... and what does this have to do with him being Nemesis, among other things? It's even mentioned in Ramiel's Q&A selections, so you *know* the writers are aware of the connection.
... frankly, it seems like a continuation of one of the things I don't like about VEATs, namely how it seems that the writing being given such short shrift these days -
We need Cute Giant Monsters. A Giant Teddy Bear that shoots lasers out of its eyes would certainly be memorable. If I created a giant abomination, then the response I would want from its victims is "Oh how cute. It is about to destroy us." and have them stare at my giant monster adoringly while it causes its mayhem. Or else have this.
On second thought, scratch the Giant Teddy Bear idea and have a giant catgirl in schoolgirl clothing as the giant monster. -
You mean the impossible to overcome 5% chance to hit? I don't think it would matter that much if it was one huge attack, but if it was an attack like Rain of Fire, then it could be a problem. Have everyone softcap defenses with lucks and hit Director 11 as hard as possible with whatever the team currently has in terms of temp powers might be a good way to have a decent chance defeating him. Of course, you are always subject to the dreaded RNG, but that is to be expected.
