    Master of Lambda

All, but the Synchronized badge for Lambda badges reek of bad design. The badges should be :

Antacid: Collect 10 Acids, but don't use them. However league can collect 10 grenades and use them.
Well Stocked: Collect 10 grenades, but don't use them. League can collect 10 acids and use them.
Lambda Looter: Collect 10 Acids and Grenades, but don't use them. League can use temp powers found in courtyard to close portals and pacify Marauder, but if any temp power from previous section is used, then badge is not awarded.

It would be possible to earn all 4 badges in one run, but much easier to go after each one separately and requires different tactics to accomplish instead of being dependent on unique elemental powers and do the exact same thing 3 times.

I find SG-1 and Atlantis to be superheroic in nature.

Person 1: SG-1 saved the world <sigh> again.
Person 2: Again? This has to be the 20th time this year. So what award are they getting?
Person 1: The "Let Someone else save Earth" Award. Hopefully, they get the hint.
    Person 2: Not likely.

SGU seems to be more realistic where they don't win every battle and actually have people form relationships instead of certain people not forming them due to professionalism.

    Master of Lambda

I find the Master of Lambda badges to be rather annoying in concept. To get all three badges, there is no difference in tactics, style, or difficulty. Fighting Marauder with only grenades or acids are two completely different fights. The no acids and no grenades badges should be a warm up to the no temp powers fight. Defeating Marauder in exactly the same way is too boring and requires a league to take the right type of powersets and/or incarnate powers. Lambda Looter could be changed so that all twenty temp powers in the warehouse and lab can't be used, but the ones in the courtyard can.
  4. Have to agree with the Crab. MFing Warshades require effort to make them useful (perma-eclipse) while Crabs start out with decent AoE and survivability.
  5. There is also the possibility that each level of participation has different probablities to drop each reward. Doing nothing might have a 75% chance to get threads and a 0.5% chance to drop a very rare while maximum participation might be 50% for a rare, 25% for a very rare, and 1% for threads. Problem is that we don't know anything about how rewards drop or how participation affects drops so even getting hundreds of player's data is meaningless since the first problem is determining which participation rank they fall under.

    Empyrean Merits

If a badge is awarding an extra Empyrean Merit, then it is a bug. Chances are that someone accidentally set the reward to Empyrean when it should be Astral. Empyreans seem to be the common daily reward that exists in most MMOs.
  7. Very rares I don't count on at all. My very rare Lore and Destiny will most likely completely come from Empyrean Merits. 1 month of doing two trials a day for 2 very rare slots. Had 2 rares from reward table, 1 rare from Master of BAF, and 1 rare from crafting. I only need 2 more rares that I could waste 200 million and 200 threads on. There are other ways to get rares and very rares if you don't "participate enough"

I am getting to the point where I think there is more than one set of tables. An afker could get a very rare since they are in the participation group that has a 1% chance to get, but a 30% or higher chance to get threads. Participate more and better chances for the good loot is made available. I doubt there is a piece of code that says use 500 powers and you get a very rare, use 100 get an uncommon, and use 2 and get threads.

That would be fun. It would end up as your character being a computer controlled character where you can watch your character doing stuff. After burning all possible locations in CoX, they would start attacking our world since they have all the power of an Incarnate. Do you want to destroy our planet due to laziness?

The bolded section is the only part that could be considered wrong, but only because it is conditional. If I log in May 1, then it is true. However, if I log in April 19, then I won't get the rewards until later.
  10. They drop from any mob that will give a level 50 recipe.

Yes, but you either create clones or program robots with your personality and memories unless you can effectively control another 8 accounts with the same level of competence.

  13. There is a reason why they are Traditionalist. A Traditionalist is more likely to cure a converted Lost instead of bringing them into the fold. There might certain situations like the Lost prefers to be Rikti, but has to pass the Rikti Citizenship Test to be a full Rikti. Restructurists are more likely to see converted Lost as Cannon Fodder.
  14. If a person can't spend less than an hour to participate in a trial, then they probably shouldn't be playing CoX since they appear to be too busy. Most casual players can spend at least an hour or two with the occasional afk due to RL concerns. The only people that can't participate in trials are the solo only players that get sick in their stomach at the thought of having to deal with other players. MMOs generally never cater to these individuals for the good loot. Just look at WoW, to get the top gear, you need to team with players and participate in raids. Although, CoX has been good for soloers. Used to be that you had to participate in Task Forces to get the LoTG: +7.5% global recharge or pay an extravagant cost, but now their is merits, AE rolls, AM rolls, and Alignment Merits. Chances are that there will be a solo-friendly option to get threads.

Best part of the episode was Rush messing with Eli and an another scientist without them realizing it. Second best part was Greer and the Creature in the cave.
  16. When I spammed my 2 holds as well as Twilight Grasp, I got rare on BAF and uncommon on Lambda today. Based on participation, it requires us MMs to spam powers that we won't use normally. Who actually uses a hold on an AV when the triangles are up.

Must be based on clicking powers instead of putting a power on autofire if this is true. I continually spam Twilight Grasp and haven't noticed any difference from the constant commons I get. If the rewards are weighted based on participation, then it is unfair to certain players that are just as active, but don't have the same powers. I have absolutely no attacks on my MM and the only things I can use are twilight grasp, 2 holds, fearsome stare, Howling Twilight (use on AVs only or when someone needs to be rezzed), darkest night, and tar patch. Darkest Night and Tar Patch might not count since they are a toggle and target AoE and they aren't used that often. Howling Twilight is hardly used. I might use it 3 times in a trial. That leaves me with just Twilight Grasp, 2 holds, and fearsome stare. I can stun 90% of the prisoners that come near me on BAF, but since it is an aura toggle, I get no benefit from slowing down the minions.

If participation is an issue, then it should only be used to give the consolation reward to afkers. Meet a certain amount of participation that everyone who is active on the trial should get and they get the component reward tables. Don't and get 10 threads or 1 super inspiration. Everyone that actively participates should have the same chance at getting the rewards since not everyone can get to the level of maximum participation required for rare and very rare to be a relatively common drop. 50% for a common, 30% for an uncommon, 15% for a rare, and 5% for a very rare for everyone that actively participates would be an effective method to not screw over MMs and other players that have a hard time of participating
  18. Depends if the new trials are the same as far as rewards go or not. Will Praterian Hamidon and Keyes (next incarnate trials) just add more rewards to collect like new currency and new components. Or will they have threads and the same components. By the time they come out, certain people will burnout from doing constant BAFs and Lambdas. I avoid this by doing one Lamda and one BAF each day for the Empyrean Merits. Should have my first very rare component by the end of the month assuming I am unlucky at getting them through the reward table. If new Incarnate content is available for first timers to unlock the early slots, then it doesn't matter that much if people are having a hard time finding a Lambda or BAF. Besides there is always SGs, channels, and the forums to form one when it dies out.

Going by my vicious dolphin example to explain the creatures. The creature could have just did a few snarls to say don't attack the humans. Humans aren't the only creature on this planet with a complex language. All pack animals have to have a language of some type in order to work together.

Just watched it and I have to say the creatures seem like vicious dolphins. There is this theory that dolphins and other mammals are just as intelligent as humans or even more intelligent, but because they aren't given a way to manipulate the environment, then they are stuck at where they are. Therefore, the creatures can't create fire, but know what it is from forest fires and know that fire doesn't normally appear in caves. If you take a gun and mines to a forest that no humans have ever stepped in, then the animals would have no clue that their life is in danger. Guns are beyond the understanding of the creatures so guns are not a sign of intelligence.
  21. If this is completely random, then I would like to know the percentages for each reward screen. Screwing a person over because they don't participate as much as other people is not cool. I am a /dark MM and my main attack for most mobs is fearsome stare and tarpatch. Mobs don't usually last long enough for my henchmen to run over and slice them a few times. Also, since my henchmen are usually in melee mode, there have been times when I can't contribute any damage on AVs and can only keep Darkest Night and Tar Patch on them and spam Twilight Grasp for the -regen. As long as I am contributing to the team and not afk in the hospital, then I should get the same chance of getting rares and very rares as everyone else instead of having to worry about those people that have made sacrifices to the RNG gods.

Finding all aliens have the religion that they are made in "God's image" and believe in a monotheistic god whose son died to atone for people's sins would certainly put numerous scholars through a few loops. The most obvious explanation would be some advanced alien race decided to mess with lesser race's beliefs. That was used in Babylon 5 with the Vorlons.
  23. They need to relook at reward tables since if someone is only getting commons with the odd surprise and someone else is getting only rares with the odd surprise, then there is something wrong. Luckily I have been able to craft a rare Destiny with just drops so I don't mind if I get a bunch of commons and uncommons at the moment since I still have places to slot and uncommons can be used to craft rares and very rares. Although, I am getting annoyed by people that keep on asking for a very reward when they already have 3 very rares and I have none.

It is just as likely to find an alien race close to us as it is find a race completely alien to us. I would find it hilarious if every alien race looks and acts exactly like us except for the obvious different culture so slightly different beliefs.
  25. There have been quite a few times on the trials where my Ninja/Dark MM has no pets out, spamming twilight grasp, placing down tar patchs, and keeping darkest night on the AV. Just 50+1 and still have the Lore and Destiny slots to unlock. I am not wasting threads on incarnate XP to craft a Barrier Destiny.
