    Queued

Honestly, while the queuing process is annoying, it's also heartening that so many people still want to play the game. So, good stuff there.

I think I've waited about 10 minutes at the most so far. I've got a WOW buddy that waited 12 HOURS after an expansion was released to play so I don't gripe too much.

Anyway, there are more than two servers ya know.
  2. Freaked out with bliss to get GR a day early, texted all my MMO friends to gloat. Then spent the rest of the night playing with my shiny new Kin/Shield Scrapper. Had so much fun I forgot to get any of my "old" alts on the path to a new alignment.
  3. Thanks Lillika and New Dawn. I'm gonna mull all this over and make some changes soon. I really appreciate the ideas and builds. Just another example of how awesome City of X folks are!
  4. Hello all! After playing for a few years, I've finally decided to really get into build mechanics. Normally, when I hit 50, I just pop in IO enhancements and call it "done" but I'd really like to tweak out at least one character.

This is my main man Starrior. Born around Ish 12, he's my oldest toon and my "badger" character. The build below is what he's spec'ed to now but I'm open to any and all suggestions. I'd like to keep the set enhancements he has now (especially the Hecatombs) but money is no object. Thanks all!

Strange. That's exactly what went through my head when I read the announcement. Man, it's really going to be hot if Jupiter turns into a star.
  6. Thanks SwellGuy. Definitely live up to your name!

    I > Team

What kind of teams are you looking for?

Team dynamics are to hard to maintain unless you play with one group regularly. PUG's are inherently unstable due to their "easy come, easy go" nature so it's really not worth the effort to get worked up at one or two team members who run off to do their own thing. Different "vet" levels and maturity levels can clash. Your idea of efficiently completing a mission may be very different from everyone else's.

Basically, that's why I almost always solo.
  8. I've been halfheartedly using the markets for a few years and recently decided to "expand" my gaming fun by learning to work the markets. So,a couple of questions.

How are sales determined when prices are identical? If there are 3 of X recipes for sale, all for Y pricing, is the oldest placed on the market sold first? That would seem to be logical to me.

Additionally, if there are 3 of X recipes for sale at 5000 and I place X for sale at 4500 AND someone bids 6000, whose recipe sells first? The older recipes (5000) or the newer (4500) for 6000? Again, the cheapest would seem to sell first but blind auctioning might dictate that the "older" recipes would sell first at the higher price point.

Thanks in advance for some answers. Hope this all doesn't seem elementary but I'm a little at sea in economics and free-market forces.
  9. Brilliant! Simply brilliant!

  11. Thanks guys. Default settings have been reapplied. Whew! Don't I feel like a dummy!
  12. After being harassed over and over I finally changed my screen resolution to 1920x1080. I guess it's okay but I really don't like it. I'd like to restore my default resolution but the menu disappeared on my screen! I can't access any graphics options! Anyone have this problem? If so, how can I restore my default resolution without being able to access the graphics options menu? I really don't want to delete CoX from my harddrive and restore.

Please disregard as I figured out that "/menu" works pretty well. DOH!
  13. Thanks for all the insight, Fury. After playing nearly 3 years, I never managed to accumulate more than 180 million or so on any character. Using the tips in your thread, a little research and a WHOLE lot of luck, I'm actually on track to beat your score this week. Heading into day 7 with about 920 mill. Truly appreciate all the work you devoted to the thread and your "experiment"!
  14. After playing with Tanks, Scraps and Blasters for almost 3 years, I finally rolled an Earth/Kin troller and have been having a really fun time with it. I solo nearly exclusively so the "team" archetypes didn't have much appeal. And honestly, it was a bit of a grind until 25 or so but what a difference now! I'd agree with the OP's guidelines especially with Transference. Having a blast just locking down bosses, drain their End and watching my little pet rock wail away at them.

Funny thing is, I'm watching an episode of "Dinosaur Planet" with the kids...featuring a raging, rampaging, dino-eating four flippered pleisaur. Dead ringer for Sally.
  16. Snow? Wuzzat? That cold white stuff? Pretty rare in the South.
  17. Hope so, I knew there was a reason to take a vacation day from work (scampers to be second)
  18. Really never. I "semi" retire toons when I ding 50 but occasionally dust them off for a variety of reasons. Maybe the newest ish or vet reward lets me do something new and neat. Maybe I actually miss playing with them. And the urge to respec to tweak sometimes strikes. But all of my alts (and I have a LOT) get played with every few weeks or so. Even if it's just a radio mish or two.
  19. I actually had time to play on a double XP weekend for the first time in 2 years! So actually getting to log on is my major accomplishment!

Same here with the miniskirt. Almost every female alt I have has at least one. And I really like the mini-jacket sleeveless vest on my ladies.

LOL! Congrats on being sick just in time!
  22. Sorry to hear it-my sympathies to the family.
  23. The only annoying thing is...you have to actually belong to a SG or have a base and I'm such an altaholic that most of my toons don't fall into those catagorys. So, in my case, the power is pretty useless. But most vet powers are IMO.
  24. Not to sound like a broken record but...ignore it. Life's too short to worry about stuff like that.

    Temporary Travel

I'm fairly certain you can use the Flashback system to go back to Kings Row and do radio missions until you get the Bank mission. And I believe you can do this as often as you like, picking up the raptor pack each time. But why not take the permanent travel power from the pool?
