i had Jump Kick on my controller for a while and respeced it out as soon as i had the chance.
Long animation, poor damage and it also leads to the uncontrolable and inexplicable desire to run into the middle of a mob just to use it.
If your going for SJ as a travel power then, personally, i'd take CJ. -
i'd take Crushing Field before you get GDF for a couple of reasons.
Fair enough it might be an Immob and not a hold but it does help if your team needs to beat a hasty retreat. all they have to do is break the line of sight, this could be the diffrence between a team faceplant and people surviving. And it helps to keep the mobs at arms length when your in a 'Squishy' team.
Also, Crushing Field and GDF stack on top of eachother which aids your chances of locking down a big group with a few Lts and Bosses in it (GDF followed by Crushing field followed by Gravity Distortion/Crush on the ones you didnt get with your AoEs).
just my opinion -

Most stalkers dont know how non squishy they are.

Agreed, in PvE my stalker can stand up to a +1 alpha strike in a team of 4-5 players. and in PvP if i find a 'Lone Sheep' i can usually take them down (Tanks take bloody ages and dont get me started on Regen!)
Sorry to hear your giving up on PvP, i've seen you with your Stormie in Sirens a few times and couldnt get near you to AS you (not for the lack of trying right enough) but saying that, i've not been in PvP much lately because i got fed up with the constant moaning about AS and TP Foe... but thats a whole other issue

Propel is always amusing, dispite its lack of damage.
Repel is cracking for PvP
Crushing field is a good follow up to GDF and (if ure lvl 41+) its good to use before you hit a high damage Epic pool power, i took fire mastery which adds to your damage out put
Acrobatics is good for anti-knockback
Wormhole is a good power although it needs a few ACC slots on it before you see how good it is... it can also save your team when they are 'on the ropes' if you use it well. it targets a group not just single target, so i'm afraid its not really much of a substiute for TP Foe. i think of it more as a panic button/source of amusement in outdoor missions
hope this is of some help -
i'm sure there will be someone who can do you an invite to the SG if your looking to join us. the people who are most likly to be on have thier global handles in the orginal post for this thread
-
Hami Raid you say.... been a while since i took part in one of those.
Grav/Empath Contoller at your service for that then. can try and orginise something for through the week. dont know when i'll be free as i have jury duty of all things.
Judge: Members of the Jury have you reached a verdict?
*DS stands up*
DS: We the Jury find the defendent, Kensa Klore, guilty of all charges. *sings* Down Down Down, your going down!

indeed. apart from SOMEONE being late, i reckon we did not to bad at all.
Anyone fancy the St Martial SF on Sunday night? i think its either lvl 32+ or lvl 35+ not to sure. either that or we can do the other respec SF, i'm not to fussed either way -
Have a look at the Yahoo Group we've got set up Be-el, Ree posted the details on there mate.

PS
Respec SF on Monday @8pm, 3 spaces left at the moment -
another tip for most controllers is; Accuracy, Hold Duration, Recharge and End Reduction
personally i'd forget damage until you get to a higher lvl. after all a controller is, for the most part, a support AT. Lockdown any aggro that the tank has missed or once the tank has grabbed the agro (i'm sure they will appreciate not getting hit), help out the Empath with the heals, buff your team mates with SB and Bubbles etc etc. oh yeah and dont forget to throw a few holds and lockdowns into the mix as well
If play properly a controller can be the diffrence between a good team and a VERY good team. -
a good tanker does make life alot easier.... the bad ones on the other hand can cause no end of problems.
a quick thank you to all the tanks that saved my squishy controller on the way to lvl 50.
Kid Rock, Where are you? -
Ooooo Be-el is back as well, good rates!
I'll pick up a mic for team speak as soon as i can be bothered to drag my carcass to the shop. Should give a new angle to Kensa and I's verbal sparring matches -
I took Fire mastery on my controller simply so i could lay down some extra damage once the enemies are locked down and Consume comes in handy for that extra End boost mid fight
-
personally i'd say Grav for a primary. Propel, as mentioned before, is always amusing, GDF i think is one of the best lockdowns in the game (even more so when followed up by Crushing Field) and Wormhole is also a lot of fun in PvE and PvP.
as for a secondary; Empath you can never go wrong with, Kin is a lot of fun and Rad is... well rather good tbh -
i'm happy to do the Cap SF or one of the Respec SFs. not fussed really. see what the majority wants to do.... or hows this for a crazy idea? lets do them both in the same night!

Personally i cant speak highly enought of DM as a secondary. i play a Zombie/DM mastermind and he is a Debuff machine. Darkest Night, Tar Patch plus the defuffs the the Lich provides (after lvl 32) and then the added debuffs of Dark Servent (lvl 38) turns you into a debuff monster. if you slot your Zombies and Grave Knights with a few damage SOs you can quite easily solo enemies at +2/+3 with out even facing any real problems. the heal and the rez that you get is also very good, the only downside being that the heal needs to hit in order to heal (bung 3 ACC enhances on there and you should be ok though).
DM as a secondary all the way for me, just my opionion though -
oh and i will add that one of the best teams i have ever been on was a 8 person team made up of 4 diffrent flavoured Defenders and 4 diffrent flavoured Controllers which included DC and yours truely.... was awesome! buffs, debuffs and DoT flying around all over the place
'Mon the Squishies!!!!! -
cant believe i've never read this! very funny!
except the controller bashing and the DM bit (read signature)!
Just kidding mate, i like it! still cant believe it took me so long to read it! -
name the time and place and i'll try and be there
