  1. Before I get to my point, please understand I am not upset nor am I picking on anyone. I am just really surprised. I play on 6 servers, but recently moved all of my characters from Triumph to Exalted. I moved to find a larger population to play with.

What I find myself surprised by is the amount of players I have run into that seem to be very new to the game. Yesterday I was forming a Treespec (WST this week) and had probably 7 people ask to join, but then when I tried to invite they were heroes. I also had 5-6 tells that said something like, "What is that?" or "What is Treespec?".

Not the end of the world, but I really had the impression that Exalted would be the server with the more experienced players.
  2. I have always just slotted with 3 stamina IOs and maybe a performance shifter (chance for end). But I was reading that some people use the End Mod sets in stamina. How many of you do that and to what success.

(Yes, I am aware how people slot may differ depending on powerset--regen, WP, come to mind).
  3. I have had no issues with my Macbook Pro and CoX. I know that doesn't help, but I want you to know it is probably not the machine.

Gonna call baloney on this one.
  5. This has to be a joke, right? I wouldn't buy a name in the first place. But this name? Even for free, I have no use for it. (I do think it is a silly name, but I also just am not a fan of all the names I see that are pretty golden age comic booky)
  6. OK I got on and I don't know how to help. When I click on the colors, if it is original, the color grid doesn't come up. It only come up if I click on Bright or whatever.
  7. Ah, and just realized we did the same iTrial this morning on Virtue.
  8. I am at work so won't be logging on, but if I understand your question, why not just create a new Illusion and look at what color it is there?

Anyone else have anything to chime in about exalted?
I moved from Triumph to Exalted recently. So far, I have been surprised at how dead it is. I expected a little more population. Now, it is not nearly as bad as Triumph, but that has been my experience.

3rd and this is the mean one, to be an original main, it requires to have been made in the first year of the games life. Yeah I know so few first years are left, and so many new citizens are among us.
What I consider my main fits all of this. My Katana/Invul scrapper definitely felt "right" (I knew right away). He was definitely my first 50 by far. He has the Year 1 badge.

Oddly, I think my 2nd 50 was my WS, which I have, but is the ONLY toon I have on a shelf. I really hate playing him--not interested, but can't delete. What if I find I want a lvl 50 WS at some point? Or devs change them enough that I get interested?

Yes the repeatable ones (the unslotters, windfall, etc). I have actually repeated some of them, but I was just checking to see if there was a reason for making sure I get all at least once.
  12. I know this is a silly question, but I am going to ask anyway. I have all the points for the Tier 9 rewards, but want to clarify. If I don't purchase something in Tier 8 (the EB), is there any penalty? Meaning if I don't purchase everything in Tier 8, will I miss out on something later?

(I hope I am phrasing this right...)

I dislike EB as well. I forced myself to get my electric blaster to 50 (just had to..). I found it never took away enough enemy end and I felt I was giving up damage for it, so I felt gimped. Now there are more powersets that drain end so on a team I would feel more useful AND I wonder if I invested in things like IOs for this toon and took advantage of new things in the game if I would like my blaster. I just haven't been motivated to try.

Then, of course there is all the artz...
What AT/powerset is that? I had a hard time deciphering. It looked like elec melee, but I know that wasn't around. Help?

I can see the answer going either way, especially as the original Abrahms has been retooled into a new character that's kind of a secondary.

Is it the same concept? Yes. Is it the same character? Kinda...no. So make of that what you will.
Curious--he went from which powersets to which?

Is my current main the first character I created? No. However the first guy I created was deleted before I ever really got into playing him, so does he count?

Also, does it count if my main is still the same character, but given unto new powers? M I Abrahms was originally Inv/SS. Now he is WP/SS. Is he the same character, or not?
I am more curious about what people call their main and if it has stayed their main. So any way you want to answer is good!

I understand the concept of "main" from other games, but it's never applied to me here.

I was there with you until I realized I wanted a 50 (and a Kheldian--why is everything so easy? OK different thread). Now I play A LOT of toons, but I do come back to my "main" often.

    3. Upped the damage scale on Controller and Singularity lift, Dominator's already use the proper scale.
That list looks pretty good for controllers, but I don't think it addresses Dominator gravity issues. What do you think?
It doesn't do everything we all wanted, but wow, just fixing propel is a great great start!
  19. I am curious--how many people have switched their "main" toons over the years? I deleted my first ever toon (why, oh why did I do that?), but my new and improved Katana/Invul scrapper (same powersets as original, just wanted to start over) became my main. I played the heck out of him until I got him to 50 (That was when getting to 50 was harder). I do have a lot of alt-itis, but I still play him and still like him. I was never big on the "main" like some people, but I definitely still play him a lot. I knew I wanted a scrapper and scrappers still hold a place in my heart.

Did anyone completely switch their main? Go from a tank to a defender or whatever?
  20. I will admit I sometimes use toon because it is easy. I also use alt. Although character seems to make a lot of sense, I don't use it much. Again, admitting that it is probably being lazy. I am an educated person and I don't like the lazy-speak in emails or written communication, but in a game, I am much more likely to go the quick route. (Although I did find myself telling a teammate that we were not "doing very good" on a tf, but that we were doing well...then I shut up because it is a game)

What do you mean "worked in Fitness"? It is inherent, so I am confused.

Is it worth it now? I read all the numbers (some of which mean nothing to me!-ha), but I am wondering what the experience is like for those that play it now. Would you building another? I am mostly thinking brute, but want to hear it all.
  24. I got tired of the lack of teams on Triumph, so I moved all of my toons to Exalted (I play other servers, too).

What is a good channel(s) to find TFs/Trials?

    Where are iTrials formed?

Anything else people can tell me?

I don't have a "gaming" PC, but I have a nice enough one. I don't lag in rikti raids. My only "problem" there is that sometimes I have a hard time seeing through all the Destiny's that are cast.
