Quote:Good point. I should just wait for the end. Making my signs now. LOLFor what it's worth I figure CoH:Freedom has at least a few more years of life left before it's completely dead. A lot of things could happen before then, even the end of the world if you want to believe what the Mayans had to say about it. I figure there'll be something going on worth trying at that point regardless. *shrugs*
I hope you are right about a few years...! -
I actually like both my Gravs (Dom and Trollers as is), so I suspect I will like them that much more when this happens. I am very excited. But it does mean I have to redo the whole build because DS and Propel are not on either.

I played one other game for about 2 months, then I have played CoX since i3 (with a short break). I love it. I love almost everything about it. What will I do when I have to move on? Will another game ever be fun for me?
Just throwing it out there. -

You really think that Warshades are unimaginative? I got mine to 50 and stuck him on a shelf never to log in again (don't enjoy him). But I think the tri-form concept of WSs are very imaginative.

Electric Blast (my 50 blaster sits unused)
Force Field a close second, but I wouldn't rule it out. -
Quote:This is where I am at. I guess people have corrected me in that "somewhere" it is all there, but it's not worth it to me, either. Frustrating. While I know and understand this, I usually just exit out because, "Eh, too much work." Especially when you're trying to find a face that matches the "old" one currently on a character. Unless I really need to update the costume or use one of the cool new pieces I have, it's, "Welp, guess not tonight."

Spider-Man is a very, very, very different case. It was created when superhero named were supposed to be simplistic and usually describe the hero's powers. If a comic came out today as spider-man, without some creative marketing, it would be universally panned.

I use it on my Bubbler simply because I have so much room for other powers, but I find it unspectacular, at best.

Quote:I disagree. Nearly every time I open the tailor, the pop-up comes up saying if I proceed I will need to make changes to my costume. I cannot do anything with my current costume because I open and it is already changed. Of course if I exit out, nothing changes permanently. Not true. No costume parts have been removed from the tailor in years. Unless all of your characters have Malaise pants, you shouldn't be running into this that often.
What you are most likely running into is costume parts that have been moved in the costume creator. In this case, you'll need to find the new location of the costume part and put it back on the character. Yes, you will be charged a fee for putting the costume back the way it was, but that's why we're given so many Costume Change tokens.
The biggest cause of this (for me) is the recent merging of the normal head with the "Masks With Hair" category, since the two had a LOT of redundant options. If your costume had either of these head styles, you'll likely have to fix the costume before you can change it. However, anything you had made that got invalidated by this change definitely CAN be recreated with the modified system.
Some of it I may be able to recreate, I haven't tried. Even that would be frustrating, though.
One I opened last night, the ENTIRE body was different. I am not sure what it was called, but it kind of looks like rocks, but it is a costume. Also, there was NOTHING but hair on his head, so it wasn't the "masks with hair". Mind you, most of the ones I am changing were created i3-i4. -

There have been a lot of really nice costume additions. The REALLY REALLY frustrating thing is how often I go to the tailor just to "add that new cape" or whatever and so many of my costumes are outdated and no longer in use by the tailor. So instead of the costume design that I love just having a little tweak, I have to keep them as is or change pretty much the whole time.
Heck, I even have two characters who have the invisible bugs from way back. One has no chest at all and one has no arms. Now if I went to the tailor with these, I would expect to have to change. But what looks like a normal costume...grrr. -

This week I have had someone tell the respec team "DON'T CLICK GLOWIES" and they were serious.
I also had someone on a different respec refuse to invite me until he knew my powerset because they "needed certain things".
So either these are newbies or, more likely, older players returning. It's fun AND frustrating to deal with this. I get a chuckle then I am like, "no man, we can click glowies!" LOL -
Quote:Perfect. ThanksNo, you aren't required to do so. They start on defensive, not passive, so they will still counterattack anything that attacks them or you. Ordering them to go aggressive just makes them attack first. Usually you don't need this featuzre, unless you want them to attack gray enemies. (And even then I'd recommend using the "attack my target" command instead, because that way you can't forget to switch back to defensive, possibly causing an unintentional pull later.)

I have some Lore pets that, when I right click, it gives me options like an MM (actually not some, all). Do I have to set to aggressive before they will attack? (If they attack at all, I am aware some don't)

I agree with this to some extent. I see that you are on Triumph. I am on 8 servers (Freedom, Virtue, Exalted, Infinity, Justice, Champion, Liberty, and Victory) and don't have problems. My characters on Exalted JUST left Triumph because it was the ONE server I was using that I couldn't team as much or as often as I wanted despite a good channel to hear announcements.
(Wow, until I typed that, I thought I played on 6 servers!) -
Quote:Kudos for the honesty. And, no, no one thought you got 2 billion, just thought you believed we were very gullible, so nice of you to set the record straight (I am being serious). At the risk of keeping this thread going. sigh. Yes, the name is still mine. Seriously, did anyone think that I got 2 Billion for a name?
I don't want to put you down because I did poke previously, but just to clarify for you, I think the post turned into something big because the name wasn't overly original or interesting to most people, so it was funny to, at least, me to see someone selling something that wasn't coveted. -
I have seen the popular thread about hate for the iTrials, so I am giving my two cents about what I do like.
1) I like that I can log on and know that a group will be doing trials. If I don't have a lot of time or don't know what to do, I can find a trial.
2) I like playing all of the trials except Keyes. I don't like repeating them over and over, so I don't. But I do think they are fun and that I no longer have to run ITF to death if I want a team on short notice.
3) I like the choices I get for incarnate powers. 5 cool powers with many different possibilities takes a character that has sat and gives them a reason to play. Sometimes it takes a character that had felt useless and gives it what it needs to rock.
4) I like getting something purple fairly often! -
The other funny thing from last night, even with all of the people who didn't know what a treespec was, on my team of 8 that I finally got, 2 had never done one.

I think most of us HIGHLY doubt that it was bought at all, even for much less. Personally, I think the OP is trying to save face by proving all of us wrong who are mocking him.

I hope that this is true, even if it will add a little frustration to some of us in the short term. How great to build a brand new, albeit smaller, playerbase that might stick around a year or two.
