    I've been around for awhile played pvp and pve with both Tankers and Brutes . I have noticed Brutes are worse than Scrappers in Pvp , i am cuious whether it's time for a revamp of this AT as Villains lost their edge on two villain only Corruptor powers which gave defence now heores have the same set's which give Heroes more defence (argueably tankers have more defence and now with cold domination and forcefield they have much more). So i say again i'm curious whether we should form a petition to get brute revamped i.e brutes to have much more hp than tankers which would compensate for the lower defence so they can absorb more while playing tanking and damage role form an 8 man team every seems to demand from them allready(tankers have better res and therefore soak up much more damage and they have much more hp's than a brute)

    The problem of brutes in group pvp is that their fury just doesn't work, because it doesn't grow up (nobody attack them, and it's very difficult for a melee at to chain several attacks). And since their base damages are the lowest of melee ats...
    But in a melee duel, a brute does awesome damages.

    So what devs should improve is fury in group pvp, or the group pvp itself (many players in eu and us are asking for more pvp modes, which could resolve this problem and some others).

    Oui ça éventuellement, d'autant plus que le roro énergie est p-e le plus ridicule des roros avec sa sournoise toute moche (quoique je ne visualise pas celle d'am ou d'élec) ^^'
  3. Blyzzard &gt; zut grillé ^^' Oui j'avoue que j'ai volontairement omis d'évoquer les autres épique vilains (en gros un roro griffes/épines, un roro masse d'armes et un blast/domi mental) , qui m'ont moins enthousiasmé...

    Lady_sxc &gt; j'ai qd même bcp de mal avec le concept d'un gars invisible et qui flambe pourtant comme un feu de la Saint-Jean ^^

    Ah oué par contre je crains que le mm empathe défonce un peu tout, là... Des pets aussi résistants que des brutes, et qui font aussi mal que des ravas/blasts, je pense que ça plaira pas à tlm ^^'

    Masterskull &gt; euh la respec des pouvoirs épiques c'est bien mais ce que demandent surtout les joueurs c'est une amélioration de ces épiques, de façon à ce qu'ils puissent être aussi intéressant que ceux des héros. Donc c'est pas vraiment le truc le plus intéressants de cet épisode (loin de là).

    Je suis bien d'accord, les nouveaux pouvoirs sont du copié-collé (que je n'apprécie pas, en plus, vu que je préfère que chaque camp garde des spécificités)... Mais ajouté au reste (notamment les épiques vilains que j'attendais depuis longtemps - même s'ils sont encore perfectibles), ça donne qd même un bon gros épisode, non ? ^^

    Oui mais hélas tout est relatif, le "choc" de l'épisode 12 n'a pas été pour moi le choc que j'espérais. On nous a collé du romain (et encore c'est juste histoire de dire...) alors qu'il y avait tant à faire du coté des lanaruu, rularuu, kheldiens etc... POur développer le jeu.
    Donc je me méfie un peu de ce que Palla appelle du "lourd", car on a pas tous la même conception du "lourd".

    Euuuh y'avait aussi 4 ats épiques et de "nouvelles" lignes pour les ats, donc bon... C'est qd même l'épisode que j'ai préféré depuis mon arrivée (pas longtemps après la sortie de cov).
    Une nouvelle TF + une nouvelle zone (même si pas très remplie, je l'admets) + 4 nouveaux ats + une prolifération de qques lignes, on peut qd même qualifier ça de "lourd", non ? ^^

    I'll never change my crab (or any veat) against a Kheldian (or any heat).
    A group of veats is truly awesome... Stacked defenses (defense cap is esily reached with 2 or 3 veats), stacked tohit bonuses, stacked resistance debuffs, and lot of pets and criticals hits ^^
  9. A Crab isn't a tank neither a scrapper ^^
    It can tank in a groupe with 2-3 other crabs (giving each of them 45% of def), but without its pets, it won't deal enough damage to really scrap (a Bane would be better, in scrapping).
    If you want tank with other crabs, take all defensive powers and zonal attacks.

    Comme ça au lieu d'avoir diverses armures rava et que de l'énergie en face, on aurait que des armures élec rava et que de l'énergie en face... Niveau diversité, c'est top ^^
    Oué parce que l'armure élec, avec robustesse et cette saloperïe d'auto-guérison qui revient super vite est n'est interruptible que sur le papier (en pratique faut s'accrocher), elle rend également presque increvable en cac par le contondant/létal (en duel, bien sûr)... Donc c'est pas ça qui donnera envie aux brutes/roros/tanks de se passer de l'énergie, qui présente l'intérêt de pouvoir stun, elle.
  11. - Wolf Spider Armor : only +3% res and +2 mag against mezz... Not really useful.
    - Assault gives only +15% dmg, which is interesting only in large arachnos groups, with a lot of assault cumulating.
    - Leadership : in pve, the precision given by leadership and the res to confusion and terror aren't essential.
    - Offensive isn't essential too (+10% accuracy, it's less than 1/3 of a accuracy SO).

    All the attacks are useful, it depends on your gameplay... Take the Venom grenade (res debuff), aim, and aoes if you like to soloing (but without pets, it'll be hard to solo), aoes and/or single targets if you like to group...

    Woot villains! Thanks all for coming, it was great fun. Extra credit for the last villains that stood up to the heroes and managed to take the final round

    I hope to host another Final Battle in the future, but as TG pointed out in another thread; pvp needs to be improved. People left because of the lag and the balance between powersets. If pvp would be more rewarding and not some two shot killfest by the few common ATs, alot more people would have enjoyed this great evening.

  13. It's good, but it lasts a long time before exploding (5s or something like that)... So if you're in a group, use it at the beginning of the attack, because if you wait, nearly all the mobs will be dead when it explodes ^^'

    166 dmg at lvl 50 (so 340 after slotting).

    Mmmmh, the toxic res debuff is big, yes, but toxic res in game are not really high (between 0% and 20% for Tankers, for instance), so the debuff is not that useful (on a 20% res tanker, you'll make 195 dmg instead of 177 dmg) ^^

    Toggles dropped = between +20% dmg and +70% dmg (depending on the armor set and the type of damages). I don't see that as a sacrifice ^^
    By mixing sets, you can have +60% dmg and +40% hold on your hold (KO Blow, for instance). With haste and +30% rech from bonuses (reachable without purples), you can stack 4 holds easily.

    A hold from a ancillary pool is mag 3. Ss and stone have holds mag 3 and 4. To stack 3 or 4 holds is very easy, in these conditions (ancillary hold + ss or stone hold, two times). For instance, it detoggles easily the rooted of my stone brute - without granite...
    Fortunately for brutes, the most of tanks prefer the energy mastery ancillary pool ^^

    And I'm curious to see fire/ scrappers in pvp, against /elec and /wp brutes.

    Teams which kick a player only because he doesn't play the good at are just asshöles (except for some tfs). And it's not so frequent... I played in good teams, bad teams, and I never saw that.

    Can you explain me how a bane can be played (in solo) in a way which wouldn't be the one of the stalker ? Of a poor stalker without as ?
    The two have some medium shields (but the bane's anti-mezz is much worse), and the two rely on the same placate (since placate's nerf on bane) to do interesting damages, which are equivalent for the 2 ats (but the bane can't use as)...

    Ok, crab is unique, fortunata is unique, night widow can be unique (but can also just be a claws/sr stalker withtout as, it depends on the build), but the bane... I just can't see how it couldn't just be an under-stalker.
    It's not very important for me, since I always wanted to do a crab (only epic I find really "super"), but it's a pity for those who wanted a bane.

    And I fear a proliferation of crabs, widows and fortunatas, whereas I hoped to be a little original, since the bane seemed more powerful than the crab, before placate's nerf ^^'

    I said fire/ scrappers. All the pvp scrappers are smash/lethal which is very very well resisted by wp, except dark/, who doesn't deal extreme damages.
    But when the I12 is available, I think there'll be a proliferation of fire/ scrappers ^^

    Katana, axe, stone, Mercs, SS, claw etc etc. Ok, they have abilities to 'increase' their strength, so a Tanker with SL would be better example

    I stick to my point, they made the big mistake of making 1 class 'nice to have' - the soldiers, and 1 class that nearly has the 'OMG 8 team PWN ALL' tag.

    Current sl based ats deal bigger damages (with as, fury or pets, or even random crits) or/and have better survivability (higher hp and/or res and/or def).

    It's the situation of the bane with placate at 60s : a stalker without as (same damages, same placate, same def, a little more hp but less mezz protections...).
    I really don't see the difference with a under-stalker. THe three other ats present interesting powers mix, but the bane...

    A widow build

    To not take placate on such an at, or even to wait 13 lvls to take it, is like to not take build up on a brute or a scrapper... No, it's worse.
    You can do it, but it won't be a good build, more a challenging one ^^
