  1. Wish I bothered to read this thread sooner. Below is my StJ/SR build. The only SBE enhancments I have are 3 Performace Shifters procs otherwise the build will not sustain endurance (Even with several toggles deactivated and a 3.6 end/s gain). 3 of 5 Hecatomb IOs in CU are boosted to +5 as I needed a faster recharge to run a previous chain but probably not required for Auroxis' chain.

Auroxis calculations show that StJ has the potential of getting 450 DPS and I believe it. But I will never take Water Spout or Melt Armor otherwise my endurance would not last a minute in a long battle (Each cycle of the SB-AS-SC-SB-AS-CU chain uses about 45 end on my build). Can drop Rebirth for Ageless; drop two powers for the Medicine Pool yada yada. This is the build I came up with and don't feel convulsed to invest more time getting isalvage (Until i23 at least).

If I remember correctly that 450 DPS calculation also included SBE procs. Probably Hecatomb, Unbreakable Constraint, Armageddon and maybe Mako's. Imagine Kage's DB/SR with Water Spout, SBE procs and a perma Empower combo. That 345 DPS can possibly be 430 DPS. My NB/SR's 291 DPS can possibly be 400 DPS with T4'd incarnates, SBE's, WS and a stronger chain (Apparently GD after AS is not that great). BrandX's KM stalker was getting 230ish DPS with no frills and gimmicks and may not have been using KM's top attack chain. Btw, I tested the SBE Hecatomb proc on beta awhile ago and it seems to proc 100% of the time in AS.

Did a pylon run without incarnate powers and got a time of 4:08, 282 DPS. Constantly readjusting the chain to get CU back into the critical position.

Among stalker primaries, StJ currently may be the best of the best in regards to ST damage but not by far as some people may think.

No, not per tick. Once an enemy is hit, they receive the bonus damage followed by the 17 ticks of damage. The copy/paste of damage inflicted was on a group with 10 different targets.

I don't think the devs deliberately intended for the ATO proc to work this way. They probably have a formula for the proc and somehow this is how it turned out. Similar to the stalker ATO, the formula is likely dependent on the base recharge time of a power as the blaster ATO does not proc 100% in Buckshot/M30 (8s/16s) but it does in Flamethrower/Full Auto (20s/60s). I do not believe it's WAI either but it's pretty fun to have for now.
  3. I have an AR/NRG Blaster and didn't really build for any defense at all. Just attack from a distance, if they run at you, KB with M30 and Buckshot, hit them with Flamethrower as they get up. In most cases, having an exceptionally long range eliminates the alpha attack as you are too far for them to immediately retaliate.

I only built for recharge/range with perma Boost Range and Full Auto up every 16s. I run with Spiritual but for spits and giggles made a T4 Cardiac with the 20% range bonus. Used it to Sniper Rifle Nightstar from 10' off the tennis courts.

And yes, the ATO does proc 100% of the time (I added the smiley faces):

    Full Auto missed!
You hit Immunes Surgeon for 118.86 points of bonus Fire damage!

On a couple of builds, Mids' shows my damage resistance as being in the negatives with the update. I know my builds are bad but not that bad.
  5. I do not believe so but use the /cleartray command will help you with half of it.

Regarding Street Justice, have you tested the ATO in AS because it is still broken on my character. AS intermittently turning into the slow-mo version and CU rarely getting a critical after AS. I usually have the ATO slotted in SB and works out a lot better for me.

I get a 100% proc rate in Full Auto and Flamethrower when added up between 10 targets is around 1100 pts of bonus damage.
  8. I tested the Blaster Superior ATO proc in an AE farm and it is pretty amazing. I initially slotted it in Buckshot, attacked 15 times in a row, hitting max targets most times. Got the bonus damage 66 times the first test and 64 the second.

Re-slotted the ATO into Full Auto and received the bonus damage for every target hit. Tested 10 times.

Also tested in M30 (16s rech) and was getting the same result as Buckshot. Dropped the ATO in Flamethrower and was getting the 100% bonus again. Looks like 20s recharge is the sweet spot for AoE attacks to get 100% proc bonus damage.

Can it be slotted in Voltaic Sentinel? How would the proc work in VS?
  9. Agility Alpha would help you achieve all your goals. It adds end mod (Not end redux), recharge and def buffs.

A 3 slotted superior ATO set adds 5% def to S/L and 2.5% to melee. So if you split them between 2 powers (3 and 3) you can get +10% S/L and +5% melee.

Anyways here's a build that might meet several of your requirements. It does need the Agility Alpha but it has perma Energize, Hasten is 0.5s off perma. Slot the superior ATO set in Whirling Smash. Shadow Meld has a 23s recharge and with it active, everything is incarnate softcap except F/C (58.5%). Enhancement Boosters are used in Hasten/Energize. I have no experience in TW so not sure how your endurance will work out.

  10. I am not that familiar with EA since the changes last year. Was going to try it out but it fell by the wayside. I have been looking at Ice lately and it seems to be a pretty solid secondary. Icy Bastion can help fix that fire hole and if the fire attack has a S/L portion, your softcap S/L defense will help you dodge it. If that is not enough, there is always Shadow Meld.

Granite Agent and I were tossing Ice builds back and forth awhile back. With the ATO set, it is not difficult to get softcap def in S/L/E/N.
  11. I think StJ and DB benefit the most from the changes. KM too if you count the Stalker's Guile ATO proc.

StJ because adding AS into the chain eliminates low DPS filler attacks trying to get to Combat Lvl 3 (AS provides 2 Combat Lvls). DB because it makes some of the combo moves easier to use (Sweep and Empower). KM with the ATO proc will help BU insta-recharge more often.

All other primaries do not benefit as much but still get to use the best ST attack in the game consistently in their attack chain. The difference between pre and post i22 will be like night and day in regards to ST DPS for all.

I don't think anyone will prefer to have a stalker over a scrapper on a team but stalkers will not be shunned anymore. Stalker population will multiply by 20 over the next few weeks, just wait until double xp weekend.
  12. I recommend taking Crushing Uppercut if you are trying to make an AV killer. It will be your best ST attack especially when it is at Combat Lvl 3. HamiOs in Active Defense will be useless when i22 hits this Tuesday as devs fixed the exploit. Get a set of the scrapper ATO for a slight increased chance to critical. Musculature would be the way to go if you can manage your endurance without Cardiac.

This is the build I would roll with. Swap the Hecatombs in Shin Breaker for the ATO set (5/6 + Achilles Heel). I just put it in to easily see the full recharge bonuses, Hasten is 10s off perma. Made to work with the T4 Musculature Radial. Attack chain would be SB-RC-SC-SB-RC-CU-repeat:

I think the sure way to know is if you have the Countdown to Call to Justice symbol in your active power display or if you have the Call to Justice power itself means you can earn A-merits. Frenzy symbol for villains.
  14. I22 is out on Tuesday, March 6th! Anyone still interested in stalker teammage? What level did everyone end off at? MY schedule is pretty hectic since starting my new job and being on-call. But am hoping to play all day on Sunday, March 11th. Otherwise Mon-Fri evenings after 5pm PST.

You're welcome. I don't know power-wise how strong it is, I just have an old Demons/TA MM built with SO's that I tested it on using the alternate build. It is a little gimmicky getting a double Hell on Earth every 11ish minutes. Probably better than double Soul Extraction since you do not have to kill your pets to do it.

If you are taking Hasten anyways and have the spare power picks, I say go for it. SS and Burnout can both be effective with just the initial slot so you do not need to use extra for them. But I would build for it later, around lvl 40+ after essential power picks are already taken.
  16. That's a pretty solid build. I recommend taking CoF or OG. Spines does not need a lot of recharge to run it's top attack chain so you may be able to drop Hasten if you can pick up a little more global recharge. I don't usually build for hitpoints/regen on DA because Dark Regeneration can cover that flaw easily.

Here's a build I am thinking about respecing into. By splitting the purple ATO set (3 and 3), it will have softcap def to S/L/E/N. Might drop CoF for Assault and use Boxing as a mule for Kinetic Combats. It would also get another KB protection IO as 7 pts is kind of low. It runs with T4 Cardiac Core so end will not be an issue:

    Whole lotta pets

Did a LRSF tonight and unleashed all the pets for the end battle. I know I'm missing Lore, Coralax and Snow Beast. Anymore?

Confirmed. Never had 20 of them, I think the below pic shows 16 but topped at 17. It seems to work better casting Hell on Earth on 2 different pets as I originally cast it twice on the Demon Prince and only got 10 Living Hellfire before the duration ended.

    neat

Has anyone else tested this on StJ besides me because the 100% hide in AS was not working. I chained SB-SC-SB-AS-CU-repeat with the Superior Stalker's Guile proc in AS and I only had 2 criticals out of 12 tries.

With T3 Cardiac and both +end accolades this leaves me at a positive endurance gain of 2 end/sec while running nearly all toggles.

Any powers i absolutely need, but didn't put in? Any things over or underslotted? Any other commentary? Everything is welcome

    Any thoughts
Add a Steadfast Protection +3 def IO. Last I remember the recipe was going for 30mil. I altered your build a bit to get S/L/E/N def a little higher. With Cardiac, you might have too much endurance gain. I think my Spines/DA has only 1.6 e/s and I can go a long while before hitting Conserve Power, back to full and CP will be recharged before I need it again. Remember all your powers cost less use (Throw Spines, Ripper, Lunge etc) which is not reflected in the EndRec/EndUse section of Mids' (Only represents the toggles).

Opressive Gloom has low end cost and is effective with a single accuracy IO. Take Cardiac to T4 Core, the extra damage resist is nice to have.

  21. Beber made a DPS Apps calculator which can be found here:

    http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=279838

I tested it with a few scrapper primaries and it came out with the correct chain each time. Follow Up might be a little tricky since it is buffing other attacks so you might need to develop a workable chain and add FU afterwards.

As for your cast times, if you are using Mids', click Options-Configuration-Effects and Math tab and check the Use Arcanatime for Animation Time box. The actual cast times for Strike is 1.32s and Swipe/Follow UP/Lunge are all 1.056s.

Sounds good. Looking forward to saving slots. Often when I build for S/L, I use Boxing and/or Brawl as a mule for Kinetic Combats. Also changing my 4 slot Reactive Armors to 3 (For the bonus 1.25% S/L def). I will figure it all out when i22 arrives and Mids' is updated.

I tested that on beta last week by slotting all 6 purple Scrapper's Strike split between 2 powers, Impale and Ripper (3 and 3). I had 2 ultimate increased health bonuses (6% total) and 2 ultimate increased defense in S/L (10% total) and melee (5% total).

If it is somehow effective, I will see what I can replace. Thanks again.
Np. If I remember right, CoF and OG suppress with Hide so it won't break it but they do ruin placate. I think all toggle auras work that way on stalkers now.
  25. Dark Armor builds type defense more easily then positional. Getting S/L/E/N to 32.5% is pretty good as you just need a small purple inspira to softcap. I recommend taking Cloak of Fear and/or Opressive Gloom. Having enemies around you stunned and terrorized will help with your survival. CoF also have a -tohit debuff which is pretty nice but is an end hog.

I redid your IO's and a bit of slotting to get 34.85% def in S/L/E/N. Unfortunately it gives up a lot of recharge. I did not change any of your power picks. If that's what you like, then roll with it.
