Am I missing something? Am I doing something wrong?
I have a Spines/DA scrapper and the most important thing is endurance management. 4 slotted Stamina, 2 slotted Physical Perfection, Cardiac Core Alpha, Numina/Miracle/Theft of Essence procs, PJ/AM accolades and various max end/recovery IO bonuses and I still occasionally use Conserve Power. But I did remove all end reduction IOs and replaced for chance for damage procs.

After endurance, I would think about defense. You can probably get around 20% def in S/L/F/C/E/Ne or M/R/A by the time your lvl 30 if you plan your character before hand. Damage Resist comes naturally with Murky Cloud, Dark Embrace and Obsidian Shield and can be improved when you're ready to fully IO your character. So I would just take the powers, slot them for end reduction and not worry about them until lvl 40ish.

Dark Armor is inspiration heavy at low levels, stock up whenever you can. Purples, blues and greens (If your end can't handle Dark Regeneration).

I have never played a MA/DA or Kat/DA but the best build I have ever seen is a Kat/DA by Werner (You can find it in one of his posts). The all-round survivability of his character is better then most tanks and brutes out there imho.

I remember comparing Werner's build with mine and opened up the View Totals window in Mid's. His build tied or demolished my Spines/DA in EVERY SINGLE category in the Survival, Misc Buff and Status tabs with exception to Smashing def and Run Speed. I was pretty proud of my build until then. Haha!

One more thing I wanted to say about endurance management is get to know the damage types of your enemies and toggle off what you don't need.

I don't think they actually do, but logically they should, since there is a range involved.
Range does affect Shield Charge and Lightning Rod but only the distance of travel (60'), not the 20' radius of the power.

That looks great! I just noticed how much accuracy you have. 97% global + approximately 60% for each individual power. That's equivalent to having 4.5 acc SO's in each power.

Someone named Adeon Hawkwood posted this awhile ago:

More seriously here's how much you need to get 95% chance to hit against enemies without defense buffs:
    +0: 1 Acc SO
+1: Kismet IO and 1 Acc SO
+2: Kismet IO and 2 Acc SOs
+3: Kismet IO and 2 level 50 Acc IOs (i.e. you need 76% accuracy) or Kismet IO, Focused Accuracy and 1 level 50 Acc IO (actually need about 39%)
+4: Kismet IO, Focused Accuracy and 2 Acc SOs

Of course this completely ignores all the enemies with defense buffs or to hit debuffs (for example the IDF Robots in the new TFs have 15% defense).
I would think about respecing again after becoming level shifted. Remove a slot from Focused Senses, Focused Fighting and Evasion. You will lose 27% accuracy from the LotG set bonuses. Slot one into CJ to bump back up your defense to 45% and slot the other two into Storm Kick and Cobra Strike. I like all my main attacks to be 6 slotted.

You will get slightly more Regen if a Numina heal IO is put into Health rather than a Regenerative Tissue proc... Very slight!

Hi, I like your build. A few things I recommend are:

-Slot Storm Kick with Hecatomb instead of Eagles Claw. More rech, dam and acc for a more frequently used power.
-Slot Cobra Strike with a Melee IO set.
-Drop Crane Kick for Crippling Axe Kick. KB feels counter productive on a scrapper imho (But it does look fricken awesome).
-Slot Kismet +acc IO into Agile or another auto defense power. The power Kismet is slotted in needs to be active for the acc bonus to take effect.
-Lose the Force Feedback +rech proc in Dragon's Tail and slot with Fury of the Gladiator proc -dam res. If you can run your attack chain, decent recharge on Fireball and Focus Chi, the Glad proc will be more useful.

I would consider dropping Elude and either Stealth or CJ. Pick up Aid Other and Aid Self. This would give you the option to replace Rebirth Radial Destiny for Ageless. Then swap Cardiac with Musculature Alpha.

I can't seem to find my MA/SR Mid's build. I can recreate it pretty fast, let me know if you need it.

When you click Phalanx Fighting with teammates at 0, toggle PF on and off. It shows the extra 3.5% in your defense totals.

If I had a character like yours, I would take Spiritual Core Alpha instead of Musculature. With both AAO and Soul Drain active, there's a good chance you will be above the damage cap and Musculature won't be doing anything for you. Spiritual will help make sure you have Soul Drain perma.
  6. Few recommendations:

-AoE defense is high, you can swap out the Scirocco's Dervish with Obliterations.
-Phalanx Fighting only needs one slot to act as a LotG +7.5 rech or a Kismet +acc mule.
-The set of Numina's Convalescence should be moved to Health as it has a higher regen bonus.
-Add 5 LotG 7.5 rech to help make Hasten perma and to recharge LR and SC as much as possible
-Add a Force Feedback proc (Chance for +rech) into Thunderstrike

200 ST dps (without Reactive or Lore)
350 AoE dps (using my measurement methods) (without Reactive, Lore, or Judgement)

    * Weighted Average with MSL 50%, RENFC 33%, ATP 17%.
    ** Weighted 2250 MSL, 1500 RAENFCTP.

Interesting. The build you posted doesn't meet several of the requirements you listed here. My posted build really wasn't up for your criticism. Like I said, I have not even started creating a Kat/WP build and I am sure I will figure out a few things a long the way.

So instead of giving him feedback on a build I have not even played yet, I posted something I have in mind.
  8. Here's a Kat/WP build I was thinking about rolling but just got really involved with my blaster. It will cost about 5 billion influence, most of which will pay for a Glad Armor proc, 5 LotG's +7.5 rech, 4 sets of Kinetic Combat, Miracle/Numina procs.

Made to run with the Spiritual Core Alpha and it helps to have the 4 major accolades. I couldn't get Hasten perma without sacrificing defense but will be fine if run with the Ageless, Destiny power.

Chose Darkness Mastery Ancillary Pool just to softcap S/L even if there are way better Ancillary/Epic pools to choose from. Carry a tray of small purples and laugh during the iTrials:

I have played Necromancy and Traps in the past but not together. It does look like a fun combo to play for an MM. If I made one, I would probably roll with a build like this:

I would use Ninja Run as my travel power, make sure to get Marshal and Born in Battle accolades for the extra end and even consider taking the T4 Musculature Radial is endurance is still a problem.

If you team a lot, swap out Invisibility for Vengeance.
  10. You would be able to have 45% softcap defense in m/r/a, with all DB attack powers, SR powers, Aid Self, SS and Body Mastery pool if you choose the Nerve Alpha at level 50.

It's been awhile since looking at Elude but it used to be that when it crashes, endurance drops to zero and is unrecoverable for 10 seconds. No amount of blue inspira would replenish your end. Have they changed that?

I would use a combination of SOs and cheap IOs to increase survivability/manage endurance and then respec at level 47 (With lvl 50 IOs). Replace your aging SOs with what you pick up during missions. I might respec sooner if I plan to use lower level IOs for exemplar reasons.

Judging from your builds, you have a good direction on where you're taking your toon. Don't worry about it too much.

And then in probably the low 40's start switching things over to the other build? If I were to do that, here's a cheaper (I hope lol..) build that I'm proposing to use. Any thoughts?
That's an awesome budget build. Steadfast 3% def will be about 25mil, a couple of the Mako, Touch of Death, Red Fortune and Impervium Armor recipes might be a couple million each. Other recipes are dirt cheap. I think you can make that build for 150mil. The most expensive part will be those damn salvages.

I am not sure about the level 32 respec. The budget build looks great when it's at level 50, fully slotted/IO'd but at level 32 (Minus 6 powers and half the slots), it might not work out as well then when it was 50. Maybe use your Secondary Build for that instead.

I find it difficult to make influence playing normal missions. I often do Task Force while leveling, eventually trade the reward merits for Hero Merits then exchange them for the expensive IO's. I gain some levels and get the Task Force Commander accolade in the process.
  14. It's been awhile since leveling up that character but I remember endurance being an issue so you may have to add an end redux here and there. Other than that, you have taken key powers at the right times.

I think the build you posted is about 2 billion influence. The miscellaneous LotG's, Numi +reg/rec, Miracle +rec and Obliteration acc/dam/rec/end (x2) will be close to 1 billion already.

Start placing low bids now and hopefully you'll get them when you're ready.
  15. Your build would depend on what you're fighting, if you're solo or teamed and if it's AE or standard mission.

From the look of your build, I would:

-Drop 1 slot from Weave (You are above the 9% +acc cap)
-Drop 2 slots from Super Jump (Will still have 45% softcap def and -KB IO not needed)
-Drop 1 slot from Char (Will still have 45% softcap def)

With the 4 extra slots, improve S/L resistance and endurance. Make sure you pick up the 4 main accolades and get a T3 or T4 Alpha.

I have a toon similar to yours and can solo +4/x8/Y/N AE S/L farms pretty easily.

CAK works out better than CK on my MA/SD build. CAK does 30 points more damage with the exact same IOs slotted (According to mids). And yes, I am not fond of the KB.
  17. I checked your build and it looks good. It will perform great through most content in the game. The only thing I would drop is Body Mastery. With Quick Recovery and Stamina, you won't have much endurance problems. Try the Blaze Mastery as it can get 3 different purple sets to help make Hasten perma.

Also if you go for the top attack chain, put Hecatomb in Storm Kick. It will be used more frequently so it needs the better recharge and damage.

I tossed this build together. It's definitely not ideal but it has perma Hasten and capable of running the top attack chain. I would carry half a tray of small purps if I find a situation my regen can't handle to softcap me in 6 positions:

  18. I haven't had a chance to look at the build but the best attack chain for MA is SK-CS-SK-CAK-repeat. I imagine MA to not be the best choice for pvp as all the MA attacks are smashing which is the most common damage resist (along with lethal).

I just looked at your build and it appears to only be softcapped to 45% when hidden. When Hide is unsuppressed, your AoE defense is only at about 11% because Evasion was not taken. Melee and ranged defense fall slightly short also.

I put this build together. It works with the Alpha Spiritual Core Incarnate power to make Hasten close to perma and the attack chain of SK-CS-SK-CAK-repeat can be utilized easily. It has a self heal which makes a SR's survivability double in my opinion.

    WM/SD help?

Wow, I never played a WM before. The endurance usage is insane!

I put together this WM/SD build. It's a pretty standard build with no purples. Wasn't sure if you wanted Super Jump so I added it in. I would replace it with Grant Cover and just use Ninja Run as my travel power.

I estimate this build to cost 1.8 billion. Do a lot of TF's along your way to 50 to gain merits to trade for the expensive IOs (LotG 7.5, Numi and Miracle). That would cut the cost of this build to about half.

I used to run that build and I didn't have endurance issues. Did you turn on the alpha/accolades? Also take into consideration the Performance Shifter proc adds about 0.20 end to the total.

Isn't that just the Golden Dragonfly for Katana/Ninja Blade?
  24. I would go MA/SD as it is a more fun set to play imo. Also with Grant Cover, Shield Charge's knock up, Against All Odds' taunt aura makes SD more team friendly.

If you do go the SR route, I would make 2 builds: An incarnate build and a normal play build as the new 59% softcap is overkill for pretty much everything else in the game.

    Have fun!
A 40% defense is nice but I agree with TankShock.

Having a S/L def of 40% gives enemies about a 10% chance to hit you barring buffs/debuffs. So approximately 1 out of 10 attacks will hit you.

If you get S/L softcapped to 45%, that gives enemies a 5% chance to hit. That's 1 out of 20 attacks.

To me that extra 5% makes your S/L defense twice as good.
