  1. I have been dropping StJ into my current scrapper builds on mids and calculating dps to see how it compares to MA, DM and DB. StJ dps seems to be low in comparison and that was including Crushing Uppercut at Combat Level 3 and 7.5% damage added to all attacks (To account for Rib Cracker's damage resist debuff). Maybe I am not using the best attack chain to calculate dps:

    StJ: RC-SB-RC-HB-CU
    MA: SK-CAK-SK-CK
    DM: Sm-MG-Sm-SL (With perma Soul Drain active with one target)
    DB: BF-AB-SS-AB (With Blinding Feint active with one hit)

    I also have a Spines/DA but I don't think it would be possible for StJ to have lower dps than that.

    Has anyone else tried to calculate dps? I am finding it hard to believe StJ can be the highest dps primary for scrappers.
  2. I like the changes and recommendations that Combat made. Since it is softcap to S/L/F/C/E/N, I would drop Night Fall and pick up Maneuvers.

    With the defense that Maneuvers add, change up some of the IO slotting to add a bit more recharge, damage resist and hit points.

    Attack chains player's have been coming up with all have "RC-SB-RC" as part of their chain. Which makes sense to try to stack damage resist debuffs (Achilles' Heel in SB).

    I created a StJ/WP scrapper which is great but looking over Energy Aura and the changes made with it, StJ/EA is a better match imho.

    If Practiced Brawler has one lvl 50 recharge IO slotted, it would need 25% global recharge for PB to be perma. Quickness covers 20% of that already so one set of Red Fortune, Crushing Impact, Obliteration etc would do the trick.

    With procs and set bonuses, it's possible to softcap an SR without investing any additional slots into Focused Fighting, Focused Senses, Agile, Weave etc. I wouldn't recommend it because the DDR would bite but I almost find it difficult not to hit 45% in 3 positions.

    I forgot to mention all pre-level 40 power picks are slotted with level 30-35 enhancements on my character as I exemplar for low level TF often. If all the IO's were at level 50, I would have about a 0.18 endurance gain.

    I think the endurance problem stems from Spinning Strike and Crushing Uppercut. Both are quick charging, high endurance cost powers. Once built up to Combat Level 3, there's a compulsive feeling to immediately use a finisher otherwise dps is being compromised.

    Matching the T9 powers of StJ and Martial Arts, CU vs Eagle's Claw. How often do I use EC? Almost never. How often do I use CU? Every chance I get.
  5. I have a StJ/WP scrapper and endurance has always been a problem even fully IO'd at 50. It's not as bad now but I can see my end dropping when in hordes of groups and I am using Spinning Strike/Fire Ball constantly, Hasten crashes and activating Judgement/Destiny powers.

    4.63 end/s recovery with 1.9 end/s usage. I have the Numina, Miracle, Performance Shifter (x2) procs, Portal Jockey/Atlas Medallion accolades, 4 slot Quick Recovery, 4 slot Stamina and various endurance gain/max set bonuses.

    Recommendations, try getting the Atlas Medallion as soon as you can. You can probably get it by the time you're lvl 25-30. 4 slot Quick Recovery, 2-3 slot Stamina. You can get the Miracle and Performance Shifter procs if you have a lot of influence or an incarnate 50 and buy them with Astral Merits (32 merits for Miracle; 16 merits for each PS).

    At lower levels, hold off on toggle powers like Maneuvers, Assault, Tactics and Stealth. Slot your attack powers for end reduction. For example, for a 5 slotted Spinning Strike: Detonation acc/dam, dam/end, acc/dam/end, Air Burst dam/end, dam/rech.

    Maybe avoid Shin Breaker and live off Initial Strike, Heavy Blow and Rib Cracker as your Combat builders. When higher level and ready to fully IO, respec in SB.

    Try keeping Hasten as a click, don't put it on auto. The sudden loss of 15 endurance is pretty big on a StJ. You might be able to come up with a usable attack chain without Hasten being active. Only use it when you really need it.
  6. I decided to go for the Unveiler Badge by hunting Fake Nemesis in PI. I knew I had a few kills from previous missions but not sure how many. I was hard at it for about 30 mins and had a few people come and go.

    When I checked my quantity, I only had 20 Fake Nemesis defeats which I thought was way lower than what I thought I should have. I ran around and killed at least 10 more and when I checked again, I was at 25 defeats.

    I checked my combat logs and counted the number of times it said "You have defeated Fake Nemesis" and I had 40 of my own. Plus the kills my teammates accumulated and my previous amount from missions, I think I should have had around 70.

    I ran around and killed a few more Fakes and my quantity is still at 25. Does anyone else have this problem?

    SJ/WP build

    If end becomes and issue, there's a few things you can do:

    Add a Performance Shifter and/or Panacea procs to Physical Perfection.

    Take a slot out of Combat Jump and replace another LotG with an Enzyme Exposure HO. Put the spare slot into Quick Recovery.

    Change Numina sets with Miracles in either Fast Healing, High Pain Tolerance, Rise to the Challenge and Health.

    SJ/WP build

    I rearranged your build a bit to achieve softcap in E/N. The only power change was swapping Assault for Laser Beam Eyes. A Gladiator Armor proc was added, IOs were changed in Sweeping Cross and slots were added to Boxing.

    I'm surprised Spinning Strike takes Targeted AoE rather than PBAoE enhancements. If it did take PBAoE IOs, no power changes would have been needed.

    Btw, you had a spare slot floating in Hurdle.

  9. I would take the FF procs out of the single target attack powers and slot them with either bonus damage procs or an IO to increase acc/dam/end/rech.

    I notice you took all the combo builder powers (Initial Strike, Heavy Blow, Rib Cracker and Shin Breaker). They all have a quick recharge especially with IO's and I would consider dropping one of them. If you are using them as mules for Kinetic Combat, consider putting them into Boxing or Brawl. With the extra power choice, go with Fast Healing as it also provides Regen Debuff Resistance.

    Mercs That Bad?

    I found while playing Mercs, I had to focus more on pet control than other MM set. The Stay/Aggressive commands were most frequently used followed by Passive/Attack my Target/Follow.

    For the Stay/Aggressive commands, I would constantly hit Stay and let the mercs shoot anything within range. Clicking Stay isn't that troublesome as commanding pets can be done at any time even while other powers are casting. Recently I bought a keyboard that allows me to bind 3 keys to constantly click Stay, once per second for 10, 20 and 30 secs. This prevents them from running off.

    I use Passive/AmT/Follow whenever there was a boss, elite or AV that needed to go down faster than anything else. Clicking Follow to pull them back when they decide to go melee.

    The only time I use Defensive Mode is when I'm in trouble but I can usually keep a fair distance away without drawing much aggro.

    It's the Merc's borderline useless Brawl and Rifle Butt powers that gets them killed, rushing into melee but ending up being lambs to a slaughter.
  11. I can't seem to open the link either. I would only use a couple slots in Targeting Drone as the Gaussian final set bonus more benefits positional defense rather than type. With the extra slots, improve Combat Readiness. Not only does it add +tohit/damage but it also automatically puts your Combat Level to 3.
  12. To get Physical Perfection, you would either need to pick Conserve Power or Focused Accuracy. I don't even think PP can cover FA's endurance cost unless they're both moderately slotted for end mod/end redux.

    With a global recharge of 97% and a recharge IO, CS has a recharge of about 260 seconds? If you can continuously use your attack chain and have CS up before your endurance runs dry each time, I would consider taking another Power Pool.

    All the powers in the Blaze Mastery Power Pool can have IO sets slotted that provide endurance gain or max end increase. Mix them up. For example slot 4 Decimation and 2 Thunderstrike in Fire Blast for +2.25 max end and +2% end recovery; slot 2 Thunderstrike, 2 Gladiator's Javelin and 2 Gravitational Anchors in Ring of Fire for a total of 8.5% end recovery etc.

    Hopefully you will gain enough endurance to cover what CS/PP would do for you and have a couple extra powers in your arsenal.

    Storing Inf?

    I currently have vip status and 2 billion influence stored on several characters on my account. If I were to not continuously pay my monthly subscription and turn to f2p, would 1.975 billion disappear from each one of the storage heroes? Or would the influence be there when I resubscribe? From what I read, f2p players have an influence cap of 25 million. Any info would be great. Thanks.

    I find Shield to be one of the more offensive secondary sets for scrappers. It does not have a damage aura like FA, DA or EA but it has Against All Odds which adds more damage with each enemy within AAO's radius. Shield Charge is also a nice AoE attack, fairly long recharge but it's knock up effect can be useful.

    For single target damage, I like DM/Shield; for AoE damage, I like EM/Shield or Spines/DA.

    I haven't tried one yet but EM/FA looks like it might be the king for AoE with Thunderstrike, Lightning Rod, Blazing Aura, Burn, Build Up and Fiery Embrace.
  15. I never really looked at Invulnerability before. I like Unstoppable, max damage resist to everything except psionic for 3 mins. The crash bites but a lot of the original T9 powers had that drawback. This is what I came up with for your build:

    I exemplar quite a bit when I play so I would keep F/C defense high as well. You could just build for 45% in S/L/E/Ne since there is no F/C damage incarnate material. Or consider building for 34% defense in all positions and carry around purple inspiration. That could free up a lot slots to improve on recharge, hit points, regen, accuracy and damage.

    Something I wanted to add is players are now able to choose Ancillary Power Pools at level 35 (Before it was level 41). Taking Conserve Power at 35 and Physical Perfection at 38 would help with the endurance problem.

    I would try increasing defense and damage resist by taking the Fighting Pool and changing up the IO set bonuses. 35% def in S/L/F/C/E/Ne with Cloak of Fear would make your build near softcap to critters in melee. If you do not usually exemp to do lower level content, you could skip building F/C when you're close to 50. Tough would bump up S/L resist to around 55%.

    Did you take the Soul Mastery PPP for character concept or for survivability? Shadow Meld shouldn't be needed to make DA survivable.

    Figure out what attack chain you will use and 6 slot those powers. Since they will be the most frequently used, they should be highly accurate, do the most damage, have good end redux and enough recharge to run the chain.

    Bots/Time would work out well but the only drawback vs Thugs/Time is you would not have the extra set of defense/damage resist auras from the Recharge Intensive Pets IOs (Slotted into Gang War).

  20. Checking Mids 1.950 to prepare to respec my regen scrapper for the changes to Resilience and Regen Debuff Res and noticed my passive regen is almost 200% higher than what it was before without me making any alterations to the build.

    If you would prefer more single target attacks for a better ST attack chain, I would swap Jacob's Ladder for Charged Brawl. Or if you really like the knock up feature of Air Superiority, swap Jacob's for Assault and slot up AS with Crushing Impact.

    I may have missed a post stating why you have not taken Hasten but if you were to take it, it would be almost perma with 2 slots. This would give you enough recharge to run the top attack chain of SK-CAK-SK-CS-repeat. I would either drop Eagle's Claw and use the spares to fully slot your attack chain powers or drop Tactics and move the spare slots to Focus Chi so you can still have the Gaussian IO set bonus.

    MM Powerset Idea

    Has any recommendations for a MM Summon Villain (or Hero) Powerset been suggested? Instead of summoning a group of mercs, bots, zombies etc, we would get a team of super villains. I imagine the T1 pets to be a Stalker, Corruptor and Domninator; T2 would be Arachnos Soldier and Widow and T3 would be a Brute.

    If the MM goes hero, the pets should probably change as well. T1 - Scrapper, Blaster, Defender, T2 - Controller, Peacebringer, T3 - Tank.

    I tossed together the powerset, how I think it would look. There are so many primaries and secondaries, there are many sets that are probably better suited than what I chose:
