  1. well, as far as expectations, i expect people to complain loudly, regardless of its quality. Its just the community these days.

what i'd like to see would be to see but would be impractical except in a long term, but would love to see would be to see various specific arcs, maybe 5-6 missions long where characters fight existing but underutilized giant powers from the lore. mot the sleeper, leviathan, ,merluna, the boss of the envoy of shadow, higher leaders of malta and the council, the unseelie court, hequat, the lead demon thats sitting on the cot. the current beings in the lore who have significant power invested in them, it would make good thematic sense to have character grow stronger by running small campaigns against them and "breaking off" some of their power to take as their own.

i reiterate, i do not expect this in the short or medium run, but over time this would be something that I would really enjoy.
  2. developers frequently show up on his show. that said, the summit is likely something they are hording info for.
  3. the man in the pic was from a fringe political campaign with the catchphrase" the rent's too damn high"

people complain every single week that offering x should be a significantly lower price, so "the market price is too damn high" as it were. that's about it.

a fair amount of that content just came this issue. its a bit early to call "sick to death" when mercy and atlas are new and fairly low on the running around for more than a mile.

The point of mid issue releases is about Incarnate content.
My incarnate got 2 new powers crafted today, one of which was thematically really good for him, didnt have that pre the patch. in fact todays patch had several new powers for my incarnates. so about content. It stinks that the trial didn't come too, but if there were reservations about quality, its better it ddint go live was feedback they felt was sufficient to delay it for, then its best it didnt go live. still got my vorpal, and loving it.
  7. while it annoys the heck out of me, and today was trying to bake me to death, its good to have a full time job, not a luxury a lot have. my job even seems to appreciate what i do..in between trying to kill me.

also, glad i have a family I am on good terms with. I hear people talk about not speaking to their brothers or parents for years, and that sounds very bad. while the standard arguments happen, my family is close, and my brother and i are best friends.

and the obvious one, health. I deal with enough people who have compromised health due to age or physical issues to take mine for granted.

and im happy i found a gym that fits my nocturnal schedule. now if i can find a similarly accommodating martial arts school, im golden

and, im thankful for what is coming out tommorow(well, later today) and on the 20th. my two favorite long running series hitting in one month.

and ingame. im thankful for finding a game where i can play a blue dragon that does martial arts. not something you see much, kinda specific really. and as of todays patch, he does even more martial arts, thanks to vorpal judgement.

If frazetta and vallejo are to be believed, that should have been in the barbarian set.

ok, and did a search since my German is rusty, it does seem to translate to chain armor, so yeah.

heh, between that and a certain game about a bladed weapon being held the opposite of earthward hitting on the 20th on the wii, i will likely be scarce for a month or so, particularly if syrim gets the quality modders that oblivion did.

    Seriously, the writing is AWFUL.
The rather blatent implication i got from that is that he is particuarly strong(stronger than in the past when she could rework his sanity) and she simply noticed he was a brick wall she couldnt get through. implication, i know, but it seemed to be heavily hinted.
of course, kicking him in the head still seemed to work pretty well, but its more a psychic thing i guess and he may well have been pulling his "punches" the whole plans within plans thing.

actully i'm wondering about this. Dont german shepards have more of a prowling type walk, with less bounce? I vaguely remember that being a quirk of the breed.
  12. it is getting old. and it has gotten far worse for me, it used to be few days at least, now its every time i navigate to another site, sometimes in the middle of a post. it has gone beyond annoying into beyond being worth endeuring.

If that were true, it should have been true seven years ago. This game has never been impossible solo, even when Blind Jack was at the helm. You go trying to change that seven years on, yeah, you BET people are going to get annoyed.
you could solo the old praetorians when they spawned as archvillians? Actually prior to the introduction of the av to eb conversion based on your difficulty settings, the entire blueside endgame was forced teaming. almost every contact handed out story arcs with avs sprinkled liberally with them, and even my static team of 2 rl friends and i often had a slog getting through them. soloing them pre ios would have been close to impossible for many builds(unless you hami raided before hami-os were reduced, but non-leeching hami raids were even larger team events.)

  18. Dr. Mills had his first run in with rikti foot-soldiers.

  19. vip so long as it is financially viable. realistically I could get by with prem,im tier 9 with 5 tokens to spare at the moment and incarnates are nice but i made it 6 years without them. but ultimately you get what you pay for, good content needs to be supported by the player community, and in general, good games need to be bought to keep being made. I still dont forgive gamers in general for not buying beyond good and evil, psychonauts and okami, we voted with our wallets, and a lot of the brown fps malaise is due to that, we asked for them, rather than bright, well written character driven games. The only way coh stays at the level it is is if people put their money where their mouth is and support it. otherwise it moves to "maintenance" mode, the dev team gets pared down to nothing and we watch the sand go down until ncsoft just decides to move on.

This game has always existed primarily on retention of a smallish but loyal core fanbase, if we go free, then the game dries up, content gets thinner and eventually its gone for free and vips alike.

    A smile for you!

finding a new player and teaming with them to hear them remark about all the cool stuff i don't even notice anymore.

helping someone get a badge or beat a fight.

hearing from a player i helped a long time ago that they stayed with the game because they had fun that first night and have enjoyed the months they played. that really put a smile on my face, that pm stays till the servers die.

oh and hitting a low level hellion with crane kick in perez and launching them entirely across the street. also putting them in orbit with jump kick slotted for a kb io set.

those darn sounds of origin choices, i love them so much. when youa re making a new char and you pick an origin and it makes those little sounds...i love them all, especially science and magic.
  21. plans change, and people get their hopes hung up on things and go ballistic when they are changed. This would only cause trouble. plus, if you dont really care about things in the next 2 issues and unsub till the third one that looks interesting, congrats, now they have less financial resources to make the thing in the third issue you wanted, so some features get cut and now you are mad. Its a nice sounding idea, but it would blow up in their face. and no, the usual disclaimers haven't worked so far in preventing this, they really wouldn't work out in the long term.
  22. heights. infections , and generally the really messed up stuff my imagination can come up with when im alone at night, my own head is clearly my enemy. Also, being late, i hate not being punctual and actually have nightmares about showing up late for work/appointments or dates, and im talking wake up sweating/heart racing nightmares.

funny thingis, used to be really afraid of the dark, now currently work nights, so my waking leisure hours are about 80 percent in the dark. suffice to say when my imagination isnt going after me, the dark and I are ok with each other.

    Leonard-O

technically, you could take the hyphen out and it would be leonardo, the katana using leader with the blue mask. it still would have worked as a serviceable play on words.
  24. rian_frostdrake

    Kick...ouch

even worse if your character is bottom of the height scale. but yeah, it deforms the leg horribly. its also a horribly animated kick, it seems to draw all the force from the extension of the leg with little of a hip push for real force. one of the many things i hope for with alternate animations is to finally have a better kick for that power in fact if they totally removed that animation, i could excuse the cottage rule . yes, that power annoys me immensely, especially since i tend to take it a lot for making most of the punch heavy sets have some form of balance.
