Ok, quite happy with this news. It was never a huge thing for me, but i certainly can whip up some stuff with a proper female waistcoat, and the cowboy stuff may actually lead me to make a second dual pistol user, that or a ma user, ever since the tekken series, i have gotten used to the idea of a primarily kick based fighter wearing pants like the male cowboy ones(yes, Hwarang is my main
)
I will ask that if you find yourself with more time, you did such a great job with some of the older complaints, could you take a look at carnie sashes and masks for males? maybe some widow buttcapes for males as well.
overal, very happy, this was a unexpected but far from unwelcome thing. -
You know, usually I am a big "due diligence" guy, and I still think slaz could have just made a quick pop in on beta to check out the stuff, but the overall point that the store ui needs to provide an itemized list of what is in the sets before buying them is something i hope the devs notice.
Yeah i know whats in the packs, i live on the forums, I'm not the yardstick here it should be more user friendly. I have been giving the market a pass because it was new, but time is moving on, and improvements really should be coming for it. -
I like praetoria, have run 6 chars through there myself, I'd say what keeps me from making it my default though is that in primal earth, we can assume that we generally know how things are, its our world, but with superheros, various countries are pretty much as they are now, and the culture isnt that different. conversely, praetoria is a kind of facade utopian world where huge swaths of the world are under control of a giant monster. I can make a primal from japan, does japan even exist in praetoria? I have a super strong football player, do they play american or european football? My character is an angel with fairly common touchstones to a specific religious belief, do people worship cole and most everything else is marginalized? there is a lot we simply dont know about praetoria that we cant just assume like we can with primal coh. praetorians have some of their story co-opted by the cole-resistance-hami thing out of the gate, and I tend to make my characters back stories in such a way that it would be intrusive on the concept.

martial arts. also most likely to have a embarrassing typo when spelling.

since i don't pl, farm, or do other things that strike me as not playing the game, , my 50's actually take a significant amount of time to get, so deleting one would invalidate a significant time investment that I just don't have to waste. I lack the abundant free time others seem to enjoy, so i adapt, readjust concepts and deal with game changes and move on.
that said, I did reroll a level 43 stone tank, and it was borderline painful because i knew that all that invested time was just wasted. -
had 2 fail and 1 pass. all were pugs(asterisk on that, of course, they were all from a global i have been around for a while, so it was not a blind stranger pug). Part of it is team make up and amount of shifts rather than pug. a pug can and will beat the mom trial.

Quote:antarctica? thats easy. a few remaining great old ones with some ticked off shoggoths, maybe some giant blind penguines. you hear a piping "tekki-li", start running. actually, if it was underwater, it was just shoggoths.Dun dun DUUUUUN!
So, who is taking bets? Cthulu? The Thing? Megatron?
In all seriousness, hope they're ok, but dang if this isn't the setup for a ton of monster movies. -
thats funny, I didnt pop on, but between issac's kinomo/cheongsam question and the dinosaur question, my usual stomping grounds were covered.
-
I too hope we revisit the reptile /dinosaur thing. apparently some work must have been done or sm wouldn't have mentioned it, so it just makes sense to finish it and get t out to the fans. beyond that, there really arent any jungle hero type costumes, that might be a nice avenue to explore.

sort of. when i first stated, there was some wierd login bug that wouldnt let me start with the rian i originally rolled. so had to reroll a nearly identical char(made his skin blue and changed his horns to ram horns) but other than that, no, rian is martial arts/sr, period. there would not be another powerset that would be what i want, even if they made a dragon epic at.

yeah, I was under the impression we were talking alternates. replacing animations entirely would be a very bad move. blaze even specifies at the end of their post by asking what other sets would benefit from alternate animations, so we all all saying alternates, not replacements.

Don't like the red on red. the version with the white part had more contrast and looked better.

turn off exp if you have to, but do the tip missions. some of the setups area tad elaborate, but the stories and payoffs kick. particularly the hero morality mission "one good spider" its in the high level range, but i run it as often as i can.
also, try faultline and really try firt ward, First ward has a very pronounced neil gaimen quality that i just love.
finally, try the praetorian stuff, its a little harder, though as a vet you should know enough to mitigate it with no problems, and there are some interesting characterizations in a slightly darker comic setting. i have so far done 3 wardens, 1 responsibility and one crusader run, and each one had engaging characters. -
all the elemental sets need some kicks or more trained looking strikes, currently they are all just brawling punches and simple weapon strikes.
Broadsword could have some more finesse oriented moves, some of the early strikes look a little simple.
and as always, i want more martial arts animations that represent martial arts and not generic punches or brawling. -
Quote:the problem with that is, its customization within a constraint. you can make any kind of human you want, and detail the up as much as humans can be detailed, but if i want a character with wings, or a tail, or want my gear to look a certain way while still having specific defenses? not so good. Coh's strength, if i may segue into my answer, is two fold. 1. the customization, its why i came, its why I stay, i can throw together just about anything and make a look that works for me, and it does not majorly affect my appearance. also im largely free of templates. I define what a dragon looks like and what I do and dont want on them, not using a specified race thats just a bunch of presets with little room for me to go with.SWOTR is pretty expansive as well, with a LOT more *detailed* customization when it comes to face/hair/eye including colors. Body, and size is also highly modifiable, not to mention costumes.
Might be pretty dangerous.
The second reason is, and this may bug some, but its a largely cooperative group, not a competitive one. there is little pvp, and builds are rarely scrutinized. I dont have to follow lockstep in the footsteps of the optimizers if i have a different concept. Optimizers can optimize, and many do and good for them, but so long as it doesnt influence my game, we are all good. In the past i have found mmos with heavy optimizer/pvp centric settings to be unpleasent places to be.(and thats the nicest it can be put) -
you have tiny hands :P

try it on liberty on the lb channel, you will get help, and fast.and no inf, at worst you will get some poor spelling goofball who makes dumb puns during the mish.

yeah, really beast run, like ninja run, is a largely thematic power. its not directly comparable with a travel power, no cost of a power pick, no slots. Plus, its faster than sprint, as mentioned by gob, and gives you a hefty boost in your vertical leap, its not superjump, but if you played a super speeder in grandville or even tried to jump on a bout right out of the water directly onto a boat or raised pier, switching to it can be a nice alternative to spending a second power pick.

flam would be funny, but if you really want to integrate the tip system, frostfire. thought the whole time flow thing would be screwy,
-
yes, the actual name of said salute used was somewhat ironic, but it still looked the closest.

for me, i'll play something else, i have 5 bethesda mod-splosion games installed on my pc that will have content for a long time. have enough rpgs for the pc, console and ds to last years on single playthroughs, and also provide significant differences on repeated play throughs, so really, gaming is, if anything, overwhelming and coh, while great, is just a part of that. heck, i could probably burn half a year on just dark souls new game +runs
