Honestly, Gravity isn't gimped. Gravity doesn't play like other controller powersets.

I agree. The "control gap" should be called the "AE hold control gap" which doesn't mean the set itself is gimped. Although it's darn close to being gimped pre-32 if you want to solo.

Anogther good way to do disorient on propel is to make it an AOE from the point of the impact. You throw an object, it hits the target for damage, and the boom from the impact causes an AOE disorient.

    I'd take that power.

I like that idea. I'd take it, too. Keeps the flavor of the original power better than a cone, imo. Also easier to use than a cone. Powers like Transference already work on the same 'AoE around a target enemy' principle, so shouldn't be too hard to code either.

I'd also like to chime in and say I like this idea. I keep Propel only because of the style and probably won't spec out of it. While I'm glad to see there has been some damage added to it I still don't think it's a very useful power. *shrug*

Not sure if someone has said this before...but it'd be neat if Singularities used Propel here and there.

One way I see how the test version of Wormhole could possibly enhance our controlling abilities is by using the environment: Wormhole a group around a corner then hit them with CF. They are immobalized and can't attack.

Unless you have line of sight it won't work. You won't be able to cast crushing field on them. Also the disorient effect will only last as others posts 5-10ish seconds. When it does wear off guess who they are going to focus all of their aggro on.

You can be standing at the apex of a corner and see both halls. Once the group is Wormholed down one hall, CF them during the 5 to 10 seconds they are disoriented.
  4. I'd like to say, for the record, that I enjoy the control gap. I'm not lulled in to a common set of power sequences because I've chosen the correct build for my grav/kin controller and continually go through the motions. While it may be the most "broken" controller class it, at least for me, is the most fun.

UnicyclePeon isn't the only one typing manifestos about it.

I should probably feel embarassed now. I guess from here on out I'm just repeating myself. I'll try to show some compositional restraint for a day. I can go 1 day. I can. Just watch me. *Nervous Look*

Accept the things you can not change...

I like reading your posts as they are 1) Non-argumentative 2) Well thought out 3) stay crispy in milk.
  6. I haven't tested the new wormhole but have read every post in this thread. For those who have tested and provided feedback...Thanks!

I too will lament the loss of the current Wormhole if the current change on test goes live. I find the single target Wormhole to be very useful.

The suggestions to change DS to something else seems to be the most logical and best choice. Here's a whacky idea I just came up with for such a change...

Make DS an AOE disorient described as shifting the target's synapses causing them to be so disoriented so they shoot randomly. Halve their attack rate while disoriented and have who they attack be random including both friends and foes. The main risk being that they would attack and aggro a second group near the fray.

Regarding Propel: The cool factor of this power has been way to high for me to ever consider speccing out of it. Glad to see the damage was increased.
