"Hmmm... that gives me an idea... "
Suggestion Thread > 'More Slots' ?
[/ QUOTE ]
Re-roll girl AT imo. -
[ QUOTE ]
Then i would have to ask where is the prof that player feedback has forced this change as in the past player feedback has NOT change the outcome of updates or changes made by the devs.
[/ QUOTE ]
If the devs stating player feedback changed it, there's not an awful lot else which will convince you. -
[ QUOTE ]
Excellent. Now there just needs to be a cartoon about roleplayers griefing roleplayers.
[/ QUOTE ]
*fixed -
[ QUOTE ]
Sorry but thats [censored] theres hardly any players on that arent already vets coming in i asked my friends to see if anyone would play a free account i have, and none said they would even pay the sub on a dead game.
Ok i know im gonna get flamed for this one, but its what was said in exact words. I am putting this thread to rest, i arent going to read it anymore anyway so flame away
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm not looking for a flame war, I'm just stating facts.
Subscriptions are on the rise - you can go through the numbers yourself, if someone is able to link to that quarterly report thing. I can't find it myself.
Oh, and if you can use your friends I can use mine: none of them are unhappy with the state of the servers, and find teams almost as soon as they log on. -
[ QUOTE ]
im not stating a one sided opinion, i actually agree with the names thing to some extent, but have you any other ideas to improve server population?
[/ QUOTE ]
Subscription rates are on the rise. -
Lionsbane is a big enough insult by himself tbh, never mind his replies.
-
[ QUOTE ]
Horde versus Alliance. It's the core of the entire game, like it or lump it. Sure there's non-PvP servers, but population wise they really suffer.
[/ QUOTE ]
Ahahaha, no.
Most PVP takes place in cross-realm instances. World PVP is basically dead, and PvE servers are thriving. As for "core of the game"...where the heck did you get that nugget from? It's as core to WoW as animated hair is for CoX. People whine without it, but the game doesn't hinge on it. -
[ QUOTE ]
You can proclame anything you want, how kiddies rule wow etc.. the fact is WoW is ahead over 9.5million players.
[/ QUOTE ]
And there's the fact that WoW's succcess is a freakish mutation in the MMO industry by anyone's standards - no other game developer can match it, and nor should they squander resources on doing so. 130k subscribers is a considerable sum for non-WoW MMOs, and obviously profitable enough to warrant the IP being bought out, the developer team doubled in size and a new office building purchased. -
[ QUOTE ]
indeed they do, but they generate revenue and use it for advertising, what does NCNC do? have you seen MR T advertising his Tanker? Neither have I. My point was that we COULD swap from monthly subscriptions to paying for issues, without losing money, then we should attract new ppl
[/ QUOTE ]
Give Nor Cal four hundred million to invest in CoX, then we can compare them to Blizzard. -
Did you watch the video? You could make a cup of tea and walk an entire herd of kittens before that power activates.
-
[ QUOTE ]
Other than a direct comparison of what U.S players got at an expo and we didn't,
[/ QUOTE ]
Do a direct comparison of how much they had to pay and the kind of travel arrangements they had to make then, so it's a balanced argument.
[ QUOTE ]
My point is - when it comes NCwest serving their western audience in equal proportions...(like a lot of American companies)... there is considerable room for improvement, thats about as diplomatic as I can put it.
[/ QUOTE ]
Of course. There's always room for improvement - calling them out over a banquet, tacked onto an already expensive and awkward convention, however just reeks of sour grapes. -
[ QUOTE ]
Heheh, Internal flights are an awful lot cheaper in the U.S in comparison to EU.flights.
[/ QUOTE ]
Pizza's a lot cheaper and a lot more fulfilling to a lot of people, compared to some overblown banquet. What's your point? The US got access to some food, ohmigod, but they also paid considerably more than most people here did. -
[ QUOTE ]
Damn!, there was a banquet at Omega Sektor? ...bother!, missed that one!.
[/ QUOTE ]
Damn! We had to travel multiple states and pay flight costs? ...bother! Missed that one! -
[ QUOTE ]
i wait to see more tbh as tht advert doesnt do it for me sadly, if it looks better and becomes more impressive ill get it like i first plan
[/ QUOTE ]
Given this is a small sized, unintentional leak I don't think PlayNC would be surprised it doesn't impress. -

"Even a little sparkly piece of screen on the webpage, saying 'coming soon...'"
[/ QUOTE ]
If my time on the Neocron team is anything to go by, GMs or "reds" cannot do this until the details have been finalised. There's more to this kind of thing than sneaking up some info on the website and waiting; you have to cut through a fair chunk of tape to get there. -
She's just cranky due to some spleen problems she's been having. Terrible stuff.
Anyway, nasty to hear about this, though it's something of a silver lining this hasn't anything to do with CoX as a whole. Hopefully someone else will snap the guy up pretty quick; he deserves to be going by wha I've seen. -
Wasn't the mission creator schedule for Issue 14, originally? In that sense, we're getting the content early.
-
If it isn't confirmed more than three weeks in advance, I will find NCSoft and beat them with a nerf stick. I have to book time off that far in advance, and really do not want to miss this one.

Plenty of people with degrees kicking about driving trains too because they earn more than they would in their qualified profession, not everyone feels the need to fall of the train thanking them though either.
[/ QUOTE ]
Not everyone starts huffing and puffing and declaring the rail system doomed when a train is late, either. -
[ QUOTE ]
Not everyone feels the need to fall over themselves with gratitude.
[/ QUOTE ]
Good thing nobody s falling over themselves with it then. -
[ QUOTE ]
okies back for now ... subs will raise and fall, but when 2 new games get released subs will dwinnle slowly due to the wow factor of the "new" games.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes. The wow factor. Something that's temporary, and why announcements made now would be rather impotent for Nor Cal in the long run. Hype fades pretty quickly and Nor Cal would have nothing to counter CO and DC's own.
[ QUOTE ]
i am negative about CoX becoz tbh there hasnt been nethign to shout home about for some time and i know im not the only one to feel this
[/ QUOTE ]
More feel the opposite way, apparently.
[ QUOTE ]
That is not me saying it thats a vet of about 3yrs who has marketing experience
[/ QUOTE ]
Um, yay? Age of Conan blew all its major announcements early on. Look where that is - far less subscribers than pretty much every other MMO, most of which are getting to the four/five year old mark by now. You're calling doom because you don't like what's being offered.
The numbers and general community contradict that. -
[ QUOTE ]
i13 sucks its not gonna be that great and it is tbh a major flop by what weve been given thus far
[/ QUOTE ]
Yet the vast majority of people have been going nuts for it. You don't like the news? Big whoop. The subscription numbers are on the rise again - evidently they're doing something right for the numbers who matter.
[ QUOTE ]
where are the "NEW" ideas and where are we heading hopefully not into another semi interesting issue like i11 and i12 were. The newest big thing to hit CoX was i9 and the inventions and i10 and the invasions imho
[/ QUOTE ]
Everything in the announcement is new. It isn't new to MMOs, but if you're expecting Nor Cal to reinvent the wheel then you're a really bad case of the over-expectant playerbase I mentioned earlier.
