Quote:part a. is incorrect, you just have to bookmark the page. when they had you retweet last week you had to sign up.So let me get this straight. If I want this code I have to:
a. sign up for twitter
b. take off of work
c. refresh twitter every 5 seconds
d. pray that I'm lucky enough to get the code after completing A through C
Man, what a fun sounding promo!
They should change the name to "Torture Code Thursdays". Next weeks theme is pull your own teeth for free stuff! -
Since you are numbers guys, let me give you some numbers...
Last week at the beginning of your promo where you had to re-tweet you had 5495 followers
at the beginning of this code grab you had 6092 (gain 597)
as of right now you have 6103... net gain of 11... -
Quote:wont see them on ebay, as they have to be used immediately (within seconds) and cant be transferred.Sorry, I give up. No reason to keep twitter anymore. The re-tweeting way was better. This way the codes are just getting scooped up and hoarded... prob see them on ebay soon. Booo !
But I agree, not even going to bother, and I think Ill unfollow them, not worth the time or the frustration -
I like the redside... but I prefer to play a hero
Paragon City reminds me of Metropolis
Rogue Isles remind me of Gotham -

I ran it solo a couple of times, solo on a BS/SD scrapper, I was going for the emote... I didn't get that table, I was told I didn't participate enough... I finished it solo... and I didn't participate enough?!?
I believe the trick is there are some ghouls BEFORE the main mobs that don't count towards your total, those are the triggers -

well 2 clicks... one to retweet, and one to confirm that you want to retweet

I already mentioned one way... whoever follows CoH on twitter (which is what they are trying to build up anyway) gets thrown into a bucket and then winning names could be drawn from that. THAT is fair. doesnt rely on quickness of fingers quickness of internet connection, time restraints from having to be at work, etc etc etc...

I suggest everyone who is on twitter send out a tweet with the hash tag #CoHFail to let them know (and the twitterverse [is that a word?]) how you feel about this promo
-
they don't have a way to code something then have it link back from Twitter to their own servers? I coulda swore that they had some programmers working for them

Quote:this isn't about *Social Media* this is about a crappy way of trying to promote something that will piss off more people than it will draw in.There *will be* exclusive giveaways. There *will be* exclusive media content. For all venues, not just social media.
A radio host did a promo via twitter... if you followed him, he would randomly draw names from those that did and give them stuff... that doesn't require the reflexes of a ninja on speed, its fair, and it doesn't piss people off -

I'm on twitter, and I have zero desire to try and and grab one of those codes as I know I'm not fast enough to snag one. I was willing to play along for the facepalm emote, a limited time promotion works just fine, but with a ton of people trying for the once code... really? I was on virtue last night when you gave them out... again, didn't even try. this "promo" is full of fail and if you think that almost certain failure will drum up support you are sadly mistaken.

Event tickets purchased and now making plans around those, Saturday is great me and the wife plan to be there! Last year was a blast!

I always found it helpful to inform the other team members that cadavers aren't worth any XP

Quote:are you saying the (CoH) image you posted is an actual astronaut suit? What part of "I'm not talking about retro sci-fi" or "this pack has both retro sci-fi and actual astronaut costume pieces" don't you understand?
Women are missing a piece from the astronaut costume and the retro sci-fi boots can't replace it.
And no, scadily-clad women with glass bowl on their heads are not astronauts.
they were in the 1930s-1960s... hence... retro SciFi...
retro (ˈrɛtrəʊ)
—adj
2. denoting something associated with or revived from the past: retro dressing; retro fashion -
I like Super Jump just the way it is... Beast Jump however needs to be rotated forward a bit, from "|" to "/"
