  1. no... where else can you get empowerment buffs, pick up salvage, craft enhancements and store them for later use within hopping distance of each other?

I agree the combined train stations have reduced the need of some teleporters the ones to steel and talos are still used more than the train
  2. Name: Vanguard Hero Society

    Motto: Scientia est Vox

    Leader(s): @nytflyr

Player Type: Casual to Power Gamer, doesnt matter, but must be fun to hang out with.

RolePlay?: Little to any RPing, but if that's your thing, you are still more than welcome.

Membership levels: 1-50 (current levels are in their 20s)

SuperGroup Colours: none set, not required

Normal time of Gameplay: Evenings, and weekends anytime during the day

Base Info: young base, but we have a ton of salvage storage (we like to craft), a tier 3 empowerment station, vault and (finally) a teleporter

Recruiting?: We recruit from those we have run with, if you want to join, looks us up and join in some missions, there is a one week "trial period" where access is limited, but as we get to know you, you will rise in the ranks and more stuff will be opened up. there is not a prestige requirement, though prestige does help the SG out, and thus help its members out.

    Also looking for coalition members

I see three general options here:

    1. Skip the power. WP tanks don't need to worry about end.

    2. Take the power and slot it for damage, use as an aoe, the +end is just an added bonus.

    3. Take the power and slot it for end, to have on hand as a defense against sappers.

    What do you all think?
sappers would be my biggest concern, but I use air superiority to knock them down before they can zap me... usually

while I agree only a small portion gets to edit the base, a larger portion gets to use the base. If soneone wants to edit a base, but they are not given the permission they can start their own SG and create their own base, then start recruiting their own members. I would venture to say most people dont want to mess with base building but still want to use a base. so there needs to be something to make joining a SG and thus access to a base more enticing.

I was out doing some recruiting and noticed most people are already in a SG

1.) When you stack desks vertically and accidentally drop one at the base of your column just beside your stack, that puppy 'aint going anywhere. There have been times when just to remove one block, I've had to tear down over one hundred items. It'd be really nice if I could just move that one offending desk.
    step one: grab offending desk
step two: drag offending desk to another room
step three: delete offending desk from other room

In floating the beacons on my tech tp pads out to just in front of the first two columns, I found it takes 36 wall lights. Not bad. Until you multiply it by 18, then it's bad.
you can use a cubicle as a wall
  7. I have a small base, and I'm finally expanding out to add teleporters, seeing as how we now have a unified train system, which 4 beacons do you think would be the most useful? My first two thoughts are PI (lack of direct rail system) and Steel Canyon (teleporter exits close to north train), but what others?
  8. like the "Dirty Lawyer" badge, there should be one for viewing one of the Infront Steakhouse advertisements... call it "mmmmmn steak"

(ok, I'll admit it, this is a bit self-serving cause I have a minotaur called steakhouse)
  9. my BS/SH scrapper is one of my favorites, especially after I figured out what I did wrong in the initial build (he was my first character), my only suggestion is to ignore slash and use the slot for something else
  10. Had the same issue with a Rogue-> Hero mission. talk to the totems, get the stash, stop the person from taking your stuff. Defeated him and hit companion, and... nothing... and I wasnt able to auto complete becasue of on I had done earlier, so I abandoned the mission, ran the other two on my list and tried again... apparently one of the companions wasnt on the map the first time, but I was able to finish it the second time
  11. got the inf, converted it, spent most of the prestige, and sent some real $$$ to operation gratitude.

Thank you so much for the (as Kranik stated) kick in the pants

I just rolled a dark/dark and hes been a lot of fun so far.
  13. Hi! this is a great motivator, and I'm up for it!

@nytflyr SG: Vanguard Hero Society on Guardian
  14. K, thats what I figured... so three more hops to go... not in any hurry this time though
  15. didn't have any issues switching from villain->rogue->hero over this last weekend, apart from one tip mission that I was unable to complete because it seems the last of the mob was nowhere on the map... abandoned it, did the other tip missions, re did it and all was golden.
  16. having just gone to the blue side with my SoA, I realize I have lost my villain contacts, what must I do to get them back?

Will going vigilante do it, or do I have to switch back to villain then over to rogue (so I can still access the base)

this is what they should do, I realize there is fraud, and that NCSoft should do everything it can to protect itself.

seriously? ever hear of a thing called AOL? all of their traffic was funneled through their proxy servers (VA I believe) so it looked like you weren't in the location you were actually at, but coming from VA (which played havoc with people trying to see where hits to their website originated, as at the time it looked like 50% of their traffic was a bunch of Virginians). This has been a know problem forever, and for a company to not compensate for such incidents is just plain silly.

    from here: http://www.mail-archive.com/analog-h.../msg13332.html
    In particular, AOL's proxy servers
(AFAIK) are not geographically arranged, so a user in California and
one in Maine could be using the same proxy servers and appear with the
    same IP numbers.

they dont want to go "all in" yet, the most basic game is 1.22 on amazon, hence why I asked what it came with.
