even trying the above mentioned "fix" the problem persists. I am able to launch the launcher after killing it in the taskamanager. but then i have to force launch, it doesn't want to update...

So I guess there is a problem! I hope this problem is fixed soon. I will contact the customer supoort soon.
First the launcher didn't give any reaction at all.... After turning the computer on and of a few times I got the message above.

the idea of living forever seems horrific to me already. I kinda enjoy there is an end to my life so I can enjoy enjoy the good/fun/great moments more. Knowing me, if I had to live forever, i would say i can do that in ten years or maybe hunderd years. Why would i do anything then?

Yesterday I saw the Thor movie and i thought it was great fun. Has anyone else seen it already?

i did a few lamda trials On the first night and got the Interface unlocked at the end of the night. Yesterday I tried with the same char in queue stat and I couldn't get in. A big loss for the casual player in my very humble opinion.

I switch server and here I didn't queue. Then i got on a few BAF's with a bit of selling i opened up the destiny slot. After those few BAF's peiple started to drop out and I went back to the previous server and old character and did a Lambda and BAF.

Although I do enjoy the trials, some parts I find very hard. I personally hate the running brainwashed praetorians part if the BAf trial (no problems on the previous parts of that trial) and failed there each time. Nor did i finish the Lambda trial as of yet.

Aside the hard part I also find it grindy. Doing the same two trials over and over and over again will bore me especially if i keep failing. But I got one slot unlocked (still have to gather threads to fill that first tier slot (20 threads to make an component seriously?). And no I don't every new shiny immediately on all my chars. But I got one server full of other chars i want to play and I got limited time to play. At a certain I was thinking this is atrting to feel like work... And that;s not why i play this game.

Having written all this, I do think that it will get easier, more slots unlock and get filled, making it less difficult. And startegies are formed so it is easier as well.

I rememder doing the Apex TF the first few times and thinking I'll never get the hang of it, and now my Alpha slot is filled I find it pretty easy. I know how to avoid the blue patches..

Something similar will happen with the Tf as well. I just hope more will come... and that we have enough players willing to play one! (That cross server option seems wonderfull then).

So you could say right now I am ambivalent towards the trials. Hmm still have to do the new TF's! So little time and so much to do in the game! ( I guess that is my basic complaint)

I think I will find soem rest once I have unlocked all the slots on ONE Char! ;-)

Yesterday evening I had a team with two controller (both illusion), a dom, two brutes and two corrs and one other (i cannot remember what he was) We did it under 40 minutes. I kept moving out of the blue deaths by listening and watching the patches only died once due to rooting. Mind you most of the team (if not all) were level shifted. I moved using hover which did seem ideal. The trick is not to close to the ground of to high in the air. Keep moving after one or two attacks.

I was actually surprised how fast it went. In my previous attempts it went a lot slower. I do think being level shifted helps. As having a lot of ranged moving around. I must try it with some melee toons now hopefully the tactic of last night will help me.

got the pack. love it. I am pleased cause i got a few cat and wolf chars, who finally look the way they are supposed to do. I think the wolf head look better on an athelic build, but with some play on the scales of the head it does look passable.

I am sorry to hear not everything which is expected can be in there. But there are so many animals in the animal kingdom that no matter what the devs did they would dissappoint a lot of people.

I love animal run: it looks great.

A good stalker player is much better than a bad scrapper player. I see the hide as a plus on some missions (as long as the stalker has recall or assemble the team! ;-) ) I do think , however in general that stalker shine best solo. The few times I have played my stalker on teams i scrap ( as well as a scrapper), there the AS interrupt is a bother because that power is a one pony trick.

I do not know if it is possible but they should get rid of the interrupt when you want to use As in a normal fight. ANd make the damage high instead of moderate. In general AS is less usefull in teams (especially steamroller teams) due to its interruptability (is that an actual word?) quite often i simple I do not have time to set up AS. EB and AV yes if they don't have to many hide interupting AoE's. So I usually scrap when on teams as a stalker. I do think that the stalker damage should match (maybe dare I suggest even esceeds) the scrapper damage due to it's squishiness.

ALthough with a lot of buffs and debuffs AT's on the team this entire discussion is moot anyway!

PS. A stalker has a higher chance of critical strikes than scrapper btw (as long as they are in hide)

when you are an controller earth or plant or what ever and you hope that tanker can actually herd so you can release all of you aoe controls and a blaster type does a knockback power and scatters the herd before you even have time to set up you first AoE control.

So far i did enjoy the STF I did yesterday on Union, three defenders, two controllers, one brute and a tank. Aside a few deaths everything went rather smoothly especially Recluse went particularly well with no deaths at all. And this was on a PUG. Yes we were lucky, but it can de done.

My only gripe is that you can get only one notice of the well a week per char (considering i'm suffering from altitis) so my 10 level 50's need to do the WTF every week to get all the notices. It is gonna take a long time for me to get to the very rare on all these chars. And more slots are on the way. I game regurarly but not all the time (gotta work, eat and sleep as well sometimes! ANd I do have a social life) and there are players who have more level 50's slotted with the Alpha slot!

So i can see that the people complaining about the game getting too grindy as a valid point even if you succeed doing all the WTF's at the first go.

But someone did make a point that we might be able to earn more Notices of the well another way when I20 comes out. So IF that happens I am reserving my judgement.

And when do we get the information on the next booster (the long awaited animal pack)?

ever since 31-12-2010 i got the problem again, it was fine since the launch of going rogue. But now i has to connect so many times, i just tried shutting down the computer to no avail. It cannot be my server as I am writing this. So it has to be problems with the updater. Anyone else having trouble?

I am currently reading the Sookie Stackhouse series. A very enjoyable read so far. (i believe I am at book seven)

I did see it too, and loved it. Very well acted by the three main characters, followed the book very nicely and only skipping a few details. Loved the opening (especially the Hermoine one). It was serious but here and there you can see the humour which is present in the books as well. Loved the Dobby scenes, which is weird because he annoyed me tremedously in book and movie two. I must say the impact of Dobby dying was stronger in the book (I still cry when I read that passage) and for some reason it wasn't as poignant as it could have been. Loved the drama and the sense of being cut of the world in the travelling scenes, beautiful scenery. Although I can accept that some people found those scenes a tad too long ( did miss deam subplot here as well by the way). I did enjoy them though. Nice pace of action and drama.

If you have two builds, and you're not really using you second build, you can already respec that second build with inherent fitness in mind that's what i did

Anyway once a freind told about this it was so easy to do! I just didn't know where to look!

I've managed to solo EB with scrappers, and also some AV's. I have more difficulty on my squishier chars and tankers don't have the damage output to defeat an EB (in my builds), but they do survive them. So it's stalemate.

Controllers, defenders and blasters seem to have a difficulty as well. ALthough they do well on Protean (so far)
