My primary beef is that the drop rates are wayyyyyyyyy too low for Costume pieces.
Overall, though, I like I9.

Other Info:
We encourage SK-ing and exemp-ing and we team with each other whenever possible but we don't PL. Our member range from the very new to the long-time veterans. We welcome all new players looking for a SG home with members that will help with missions and show them the ropes. If you are looking for a home and would like to team with mature players, then we might just be for you.
We are mostly casual gamers and light role-players. We sometimes have parents and their children playing too. This SG is a place where we can learn and train with good players and above all, have fun. Remember, it's not ATs that make a good team - its good players that make a good team.
We will have regularly scheduled events such as Trials and Task-Forces, Alt night, 50s night (50's take SK's along on their missions), PvP night, and more.
New members (except for Villains) start in the Academy for 30 days as the rank of Cadet. After that time and reaching a minimum of security level 20, members may be eligible to either be promoted to Senior Cadet or Instructor or they may graduate to the League of Champions.
Because we have several fully functioning bases, we ask that members under 25 stay in SG mode. After 25, we ask members to stay in SG mode when possible and convenient since our higher level members help with enhancement purchases and such.
We make liberal use of our Global Channel as well as do most of our talking in Coalition Chat. -

EDIT: Oops, forgot to mention. you might need to tinker with the font size in your options. I turned mine up to 14 point.
[/ QUOTE ]
Ooooh, I missed that option. Off to check it out... -
[ QUOTE ]
Not sure if it's already been mentioned or not, but here's some findings from another post I just got around to posting:
I've seen this with the over-shoulder mantle. Often, the right side of the cape will clip into the back of the avatar, while the left side is unaffected. Definitely a costume bug.
I have also seen the problem with the Vet Reward Shoulder Cape "transforming" into a half-width normal cape by changing position from the right shoulder to center of the back.
Thanks in advance for any fix to these.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yup, as mentioned in the other thread, it happens to me too. Expecially with my PB whenever I change back into Human from another form. Zoning seems to fix it but it sure looks like butt went it glitches! -
This is fantastic. I'm about to try it now.
Edit: Hmmm. Tried the first option and it didn't seem to work. I'll give it another try after coffee.
Edit: Had coffee. Working great. Thanks! -

Team Teleport will teleport you and your teammates within a spherical area-of-effect elsewhere, instantly.
[/ QUOTE ]
Uh, how far away is "elsewhere"?
To be honest, I've only had it used on about 3 or 4 times. Perhaps I haven't had enough "proper use" exposure. -

Events:
*We have a joint "business meeting" each Wednesday at 10 pm est so we can keep everyone informed of goings-on.
*50s night - we run our lvl 50s and sk lower folks so they can see the higher level content. We don't PL. Wednesday nights (taking a break during the meeting time.)
*Alt Nights - Saturday and Monday Evenings; we have a small group of alts that play regularly on each of those nights. Currently about 14th lvl.
*TF: We try to do TFs together.
Teamspeak: Yes but you don't need it.
Website: Yes - http://leagueofchampions.guildportal.com
http://academyofchampions.guildportal.com

PVP: Some players participate, others don't.
Roleplay: Totally optional but we have a forum on our boards dedicated to stories.
Champions' Guard: A 3rd SG that we park our lesser used alts in.
League of Tryanny: Our "affiliated" villain group http://www.legionoftyranny.com is ruled by Crimson Kobra.
If you are interested, contact the leaders (Frozen Wraith and Nanoflex). I am also happy to answer questions. We would like to run a few missions with you to see if we work well together and answer any questions that you might have. -

Even better, teams with a Kheldian on the team, that approach a spawn and both the controller and the blaster exclaim "Void ahead, I'm on it!"
[/ QUOTE ]
80% of the time I team with my SG, 10% solo, and 10% pugs. Recently I was on a great pug where *I* didn't see the void. The scrapper and tanker headed right for him shouting "Stay back Squid-boy, we got him!" and the empath glued herself to my side. :-) It made me feel loved. -
OMG! Another one! I still have the original D&D white box with a personal note from GG in it!
Champions? We have a SG on Guardian that is based on our Champions characters!

I'm 41 and I remember:
Had the old D&D boxed set (the white box), then went to the AD&D sets.

Champion was the first Superhero RPG game you played - I was introduced to that in college... and the reason why I joined the Champion server....

Excellent thread. I've gotten by for the past year using only my teleport bind. Now that I'm playing a pb, I find myself using more and more binds and really enjoying it.
Occasionally, I will change which key I have an action or phrase mapped to. Is there a way to reset all key binds back to the default?
Thanks! -
I didn't see anything when I did a search so I'll start a new post.
Is there a way to use the /bind command to activate more than one toggle? I'd like to be able to hit one key and have all 3 of my pb shields toggle on (and hit it again and have them go off).
Any advice? -

After getting the tar beat out of me (D3) and my scrapper sidekick, I complained on our coalition chat. Imagine my surprise when several memeber (all 1/2 to 3/4 my level) insisted on being invited to the team to whomp on the AV who hit their leader even though they were so much lower than the mish called for and I could only sk one of them. :-)
It was truly something to see fluffy and me throwing out holds, Tar Patch, and every trick in my back while the low level heroes kept darting in for a strike then dashing back out for healing an buffs. I swear, we took him down in record time but it looked like he was being attacked by nats for a while. Yeah Academy of Champions! -

I have to agree, I enjoy the view far more! But I can see the question marks rise over others' heads when I say, "I have to go, time to cook dinner for my husband."
[/ QUOTE ]
This is very amusing. My main character is female and my secondary is male. I really enjoy roleplaying so when I play Lumin (female), my SG refers to her as female and when I play Neutron-Star, they refer to him as male.
I make a point of interacting with a hero as they present themselves and as not who I think the player is. In most cases (except for a few friends who play), I know the **hero** better than I know the player.
When I first was playing Lumin with a pick-up group, my husband came home so I sent a team message saying that I had to go because he made dinner for me. One team member asked if I was male of female and another team member said, "Lumin is female, it doesn't matter what her player is, does it?" And you know what? It really doesn't. -
Ok, now that I have the TP self bind file down and mapped to bind "shift+lbutton" "powerexec_name teleport", I need to make a bind for Recall Friend while making an announcement. This is what I have:
I would like to bind Recall Friend to the "t" key but want to add a phrase. I assume that the bind would be:
/bind t "team $target, What I want to say goes here.$$powexec_name Recall Friend"
My question is this: I assume that I click on my target, hit the "t" and the targeting cursor appears, and I click on the destination. Is that right?
Hmmmm. Is it possible to use:
/bind Alt+lbutton "team $target, What I want to say goes here.$$powexec_name Recall Friend"
That way, it all works with 1 click and one key rather than manually targeting.
Thanks! -

Awesome post feeee, but I did EXACTLY as said and doesn't work, this is what I get:
Usage:Bind_load_file takes 1 args, you gave 2,

Bind_load_file <string>

Is there a space somewhere in your pathname? If so, use quotes:
<font class="small">Code:[/color]<hr /><pre>/bind_load_file "c:\coh binds\tp_off.txt"</pre><hr /> or (preferably) put you bind file(s) in a location with no spaces in the path, such as c:\cohbinds\

Turns out, I had the file names on the first line of each file. When I removed them, it worked like a charm. I'm porting around like mad now. :-)
Thanks everyone,

Vinnie: Since that bind command you were trying to use isn't valid anyway, you don't have to do anything to correct itIt didn't change anything in the first place.

If this is what you are typing in, the problem is that you are using bind instead of bind_load_file.

Ah ha! Now, since this was my first attempt at any bind, how do I unto my mistake so I can redo the bind properly? -

No problem. Any help is appreciated. The bind works but I've obviously done something wrong. Here is the actual error:

bind <string> <string>
bind: c:\cohkeybinds\letharga\teleport_on.txt

:-) I'm sure but I'm at work. I was just hoping that someone would go "oh yeah, I did that too!"
I'll write it down tonight and post it. -
I just used this ultimate and wonderful bind and it was fantastic but I have one question. My partner was watching the chat/combat window when I was using it and noticed that it says that the bind takes 2 arguments and I only supplied one. Since I copied and pasted exactly what was in the bind, I wonder what I did wrong. Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks,
