Anyone make any CoH/V related New Years resolutions? I did. I'm tired of missing out on Strike Forces on Guardian and Task Forces on Virtue, so my resolution this year is to get a Hero to at least 45 on Virtue this year and a Villain to at least 45 on Guardian.

I was less diligent than many of you. I just happened to look into this last night and my hero badger is only about halfway done on the 15th of 22 day job badges. My villain badger is probably even worse than that.

March 26 is fast approaching, and if NCSoft/Paragon Studios is going to make an appearance at PAX East, I'd like to know so I can get a ticket to the show before they sell out. If there's no CoX presence at the show, there's no reason for me to go.

Unfortunately the PAX website doesn't yet list the exhibitors (at least that I could find) so hopefully someone from NC/PS can give us a simple "Yes" or "No" to the question of whether the company will set up at this show like they do at PAX West.

Please?

1. Don't bother slotting Training Origin enhancements - you're better off selling them to build a nest egg for yourself.

2. Don't be afraid to use Wentworths or the Black Market to sell stuff. A lot of my earliest characters would've probably been a lot richer if I hadn't been too intimidated by the consignment house process to sell stuff there. I still remember the first time I put a Luck Charm on the market. It was about three months after I started playing and it sold for like 90,000 inf. I started bragging to the members of the PUG I was on about my score, and they were like, "Uh, yeah, that's what they always sell for." D'oh!

Maybe I have just been very unlucky, but I've been hanging out in Skyway City off-and-on for long periods of time waiting for a Troll Rave so I can finally knock out those badges on my blueside badger. I haven't seen a single one in the last two weeks. Today it occured to me that I haven't seen any announcements of a fire in Steel Canyon either. So it got me wondering, has the game put these every day events on hold during the Winter Event to avoid server issues or something, or have I just been really unlucky with my timing?

The first message board I ever posted on was a Star Wars one about 10 years ago. I wanted a Star Wars related name, but I didn't want to be another Darth Dave, or Bill Skywalker, so I tried to think of a more obscur SW character.

Then I remembered the first time I saw Star Wars with my dad when I was 10, and how funny I thought the scene was in the Death Star where Chewie roars at the little toaster-looking robot and it squeals and runs off. I looked up the name of that robot and found that it was called a MSE-6 mouse droid, so mousedroid became my forum name.

Subsequently, I joined other message boards and just used mousedroid on all of them, except for the time I joined a message board for curly-haired women and briefly changed it to moussedroid. Seriously.

For those worried about the difficulty of completing these new events on low population servers, I suggest you drop everything else and try to complete them as soon as possible after the Winter Event starts. I had no trouble getting the Deadly Apocalypse badges on low population servers when the Halloween event first started, but by Novemeber 1st it was hard to get enough people interested even on Virtue.

I missed out on this yesterday so does anyone have any screen shots?

Does anyone know if these badges will be awarded to all characters on an account in perpetuity, or if they will only be granted to those that exist the day the badges are awarded?

What about something along the lines of "Beginner's Luck," but instead of a slowly diminishing accuracy bonus, you get a slowly declining Recovery bonus?

If I had to guess, I'd say December 11, but i don't think anything official has been posted yet.

Dear NCSoft Folks,

I don't suppose there is a snowball's chance we could get the sign-up deadline for the Bonus Subscription Time extended by a week?

I know there was a 3-month window to take advantage of this, but I completely forgot about it until today when I realized, "That offer is probably ending soon, I'd better take advantage of it." Yeah, I missed it by one day.

I also now realize that there was an reminder posted on CityofHeroes.com on Novemeber 5th, but since I never go to that page, I missed it.

Anyway, I'd really like to sign up for another year to get the two free months, but if I'm out of luck, I guess I'll wait until May when my current subscription is up and renew for six months hoping this offer rolls around again next year.

Any official response would be greatly appreciated.

On a similar, but opposite note, I'd love to be able to customize the animation of Ninja Run because the only feature of the power I don't like are the running and standing-still poses.

Jut created a corruptor that I plan to cross over to blue side, and I have reserved the name Bang-Bang for a dual pistols toon, should I find the set fun to play.

Love the boost to run speed and leaping distance, love the leaping animation, hate the run animation. I can live with it, it just looks really dorky IMO on any character that's not a ninja/martial artist. It would be great if someday we got selectable animations for this power - I'd love one that lets you run and jump like the apes in the most recent Planet of the Apes movie.

I'm at work, so unable to check out the booster pack right now, but I have a few questions

1) The Ninja Run power will work on any character regardless of origin, correct?

2) Is Ninja Run enhanceable?

3) If Ninja Run is not enhanceable, can its effect be further improved with the selection of powers like Swift, Hurdle, or Combat Jumping?

4) If this is the "Natural" origin booster pack, I guess we're out of luck on things like backpacks, quivers, scabbards, etc., huh? Unless maybe (hopefully) they'll appear in a future pack.

Looking forward to seeing the new costume pieces, but Ninja Run is probably what will ultimately make me plunk down my $9.99 for this pack.

As you can see from my signature, I have a hero (heroic duo actually) named "Mr. Piddles and Kelly," and I doubt they inspire much cofidence either by name, or in appearance since they are a sentient mutant kitten sitting on the shoulder of his reanimated dead owner.
