How many level 50's are you attempting to 'become an incarnate'?
I only have two 50's at the moment, one red and one blue, and I'm running the Incarnate stuff for both.
Do you feel that doing more than say one hero and one villain is doing 'too much at once'?
Totally up to each individual. For me it probably is, but maybe not for others.
Do you feel a shift has occured to more time devoted soley to level 50's leaving far less time to level an alt?
For me, yes. I used to alt a LOT more than I do now. I also used to play my 50s a LOT less. In general among the overall playerbase? Probably, but I have no proof.
Do you feel this is a good thing?
I am ambivalent at the moment. I'm enjoying playing and empowering my 50s. I miss playing new toons a bit, but I tend to vacilate on what I play, so eventually I'll ge back to my new, or lower level alts.
Do you seem to not have enough time to devote to alt characters because you feel you need to be collecting shards and such?
I do feel that way, but it's because of my damn job and other real life interferences, like sleep, not because of the Incarnate system.
Do you think changing the Weekly Task Force to a Bi-montly Task Force would be 'better'? Perhaps offering a more relaxed atmosphere for the playerbase?
No. The first 4 weeks have passed and people have had time to get the Notices of the Wells they need to get at least some, if not all, of their current 50s the Ultra-Rare Alpha boosts. We (or at least I) don't know whether Notices of the Well are going to be required for future Incarnate slots, so the number of people running WSTs may decline to those who need Notices for new lvl 50's, or lvl 50s they didn't have time to play before. Decreasing the frequency at this point would penalize players who wanted Rare and Ultra Rare Alpha Boosts for new 50s.
Am I just nuts?
You seem more legumes to me. -
While I'm all for new zones, and this one is surprising, and pretty cool looking, it probably wouldn't have made my list of top five new zones on a survey.
We still need a mall, an amusement park, and a sports stadium(s).
Hoping it's a new Redside zone. -
Psiberian Tiger - Cold/Psi Dominator
Cremataur - Fire/Shield Brute -
Well deserved congratulations to all the winners.
While I think these are all great, I can't help but wonder if there weren't many Rogue Islands-centric entries? -
We have room on the team, and I would definitely be open to new members. If possible, I'd say try to get him him up a few levels so he had a respectable attack chain and then meet us next Tuesday.

On Virtue:
Brainstem
Rattletrap
Doctor Toxic
Pittsburgh Pirate
Pittsburgh Penguin
Pittsburgh Panther
Sadly, Pittsburgh by itself was not available, but I got it on Guardian, so I'm happy. -
I thought I read somewhere that since this was a joint M&G with the Aion and Guild Wars fans, there was no RSVP/reservation feature this time around, and rather it was first come-first served to capacity. But now I can't find that info.

The obvious problem aside of one character having no way to read another character's bio unless you assume telepathy or something, my RP reaction would be...
"Yeah. Right. Sounds to [me/my character] like Suzy is a delusional megalomaniac. [I/My character] is obviously real, not the fever dream of some little girl."
After all that's how I would react to someone in real life if they came out and said, "You and everyone you know and love are not real, but rather merely the imaginings of an autistic child."
My non-RP reaction to reading that bio would probably be indifference. It's an interesting concept, and I don't have any problem with anyone RPing that.
After all, each and everyone one of our characters is the star of our gameplay. If I've just finished the Positron TF part II with Character X, then it was Character X and his/her team who saved the Overbrook Dam and defeated Dr. Vahzilok, not you and your team who do it 5 minutes later, or Joe and his team who did it yesterday. -
When I'm able to buy the pack (been rejected three times now) I too plan to make a Raksasha of sorts. There is a type of Raksasha in AD&D that is a necromancer, so mine will be a Necro/Dark MM.
The costume I made for him on the test server looks somewhat similar to the one posted above, but with more purple and black. -
I was just thinking about Hasten last night and how my DP/Dev blaster doesn't have it and I don't miss it even a little. Same with my Claws Scrapper and my Dual Blades Brute.
So no, Hasten isn't a must have power; at least not for every power combo. Now my Broadsword Scrapper would be so slow without Hasten that I'd have time to order a pizza and do my laundry in between attacks, and I don't think I'd ever make a Dominator who didn't take the power. -
Quote:I planned on purchasing this, and would love to purchase it, but I can't get past the Confirm Purchase screen. I've tried three times now to buy this and I keep getting the "We can't process your order, please try again later or come back tomorrow."Planned on purchasing this, would love to purchase it, however I can't get past not having the animal fur for "normal" hands and feet.
Guess I'll try again when I get home. -
What if Lois Lane was a black man?
I'm guessing that would make for a pretty unpopular movie. -
To answer your question in the Templar's thread about interest/participation, when... ugh, I forget who it was... regularly hosted Sunday night villain cc's, the turn out was usually a couple dozen people.
I think the key to a decent turn out is to advertise them here on the boards pretty regularly. Redside, folks aren't use to ccs, so getting together an impromptu one is probably not going net you anywhere near as many contestants as you'd get in AP. -
Villain team: No need to wait for the Waitress this week. I'll be out of town, so I won't be able to join you this Friday night (2/25).
-
Sweet! I have much better costumes redside IMO.
-
Nice to see another regularly scheduled cc. Now if we could only get someone to start hosting them redside again...

You're not the only one who feels that way, but there are plenty of us who don't feel that way. No one is necessarily wrong for how they feel, but I don't think the idea was "primarily" a way to drop Notices of the Well, because the Devs could have selected any mechanic to make that happen.
In my opinion, they selected WSTs as a way to reward NotWs so as not to exclude lower level players or new players who don't yet have Incarnates.
And to clear up a few things - Apex and Tin Mage are in the group of future WSTs just announced, as are the ITF and a few lower level TFs. Also, many people, including me, have heard/read that lower level SF/TFs will drop shards for exemplared Incarnates after I20, so it's pretty likely that will happen. -

I would've gone with "mule it over," myself, but points for trying.

I have CoX loaded on my computer at work, but I only use it to occasionally do a quick name check, or do a little marketing over lunch. I loaded it when I was travelling more so I'd have something to do in my hotel room at night.
Even though I get a one hour lunch break that I can do anything I want with, my company feels that if you're sitting at your desk during your lunch hour and you're not working, you're not being productive. Oddly enough they don't have any problem with making me sit through a two hour meeting every Monday that has nothing to do with me.
Gotta love corporate America. -
Quote:To touch back on this, it is my understanding that you won't lose credit for the prestige you've earned, but you will lose leadership. One thing I'm wondering is if you will continue to earn prestige once you've fully moved over.
So if I'm reading this right, you are saying that a Rogue cannot be the leader of a Villain Group, but can(?) continue to earn prestige for the group?
And thanks for the tip about the slider and direct purchases, I didn't know that. -
OK, that's weird. The problem I was apparently having was that when I click on Recipes in the list, it only showed two categories: IO Sets and Other. It wasn't until I monkeyed around with it, opening and closing menus and sliding the Level button up and down that the categories for PvP IO Sets and Very Rare IO Sets appeared.
Anyway, I have the answer to my first question, and thanks for that, but I'm still not 100% clear on my second question - can a Rogue be the leader of a VG?
ETA: Yeah it's what Bill said. Clicking the hide recipes button hid the categories too. Told you it was probably something dumb. -
OK, here's a screenshot of what I see when I click on the Trashcan. As you can see in the upper right hand corner, I am indeed lvl 50. When I click the "Hide" menu, I only get one option - recipes missing ingredients.
I must be doing something wrong, and it's probably something dumb, but I can't figure it out.
And thanks for all the responses. I don't know what lvl 50 LotG +7.5% sell for, but I'm guessing it's a lot less than lvl 25s, so I guess I need to start farming A-merits on some lowbie alts. -
I already clicked that button, but it didn't show me anything that cost more than the two merits I had accumulated. Yes, I am a long way off from buying a purple recipe, I just wanted to know how long of a way off I am.

From reading the reports of others on these forums, it sounds like if you started out as a Villain and you use an O-Portal, once you get to O-town, you can only exit to the Isles. Likewise if you start as a hero, and go redside, you'll only get the Oro exit options to Paragon City. Not sure if this is only for the two middle alignments though, or if it's still true if you go completely to the other side.
