    The Walking Dead

Personally I'd prefer no comics spoilers in these threads, but that's me. Even for things that are eventually going to happen because A) I will regularly be looking for those things to happen, and B) they won't have the same dramatic impact when they do occur.

    Unconfirmed speculation is fine IMO.

If not do you become villainous and hedonistic and stop caring, stop following the rules, and start criminal/villainous activities?
Of course I don't allow myself to be killed. For one thing you say they show me proof of the destruction or whatever of the whatever, and they say it's my fault. You don't say they show me proof that it's my fault.

For arguement's sake, lets say they do show me proof it's my fault. Anyone with technology to travel from the future could probably pretty convincingly photoshop any kind of proof they want. Assuming I believe they travelled from the future, I'd offer to work with them to prevent whatever mistake or decision I made from destroying the whatever, but I'm not, soley on their word and some cockamamie "proof" going to allow someone to kill me.

Besides, if I do end up being resposnsible for the destruction of, say, just civilization, then once it's rebuilt, I will be who people refer to when they get into an arguement on the Internet 2.0. Hitler who?

If her gun hadn't been disassembled, she'd have shot that walker in the RV and brought the whole herd down on her and Dale, and possibly the others. I think he was as much, if not more, concerned about that as he was about her killing herself.

My question is, why weren't the dead bodies in the traffic jam zombified?

I wish I'd watched or recorded some or all of the marathon because I'm sketchy now on details like how the plague started and how it spreads.

    I heard two stories:

    1) He didn't like the direction they were taking the character.

Which, if either, of these is correct, I do not know.
  6. I'm drawing a blank on Unicorn Man, but I remember Igor and "Elvis" who used to go to all the games at the War Memorial and the Point. I think I heard a few years ago that one or both of them died too.
  7. Holy crap, Square Woot - I just noticed your location. I was born and raised in Johnstown! I lived there until I was 30 when I moved to York for work.

Yunz guys have fun in Pittsburgh and we'll see you next week!

  9. Zwillinger, will more info be posted next week about the costume code as well as your allusion to selling these codes on the Paragon Market?

I'd like to know what the costume is you are offering, and whether it will be available in the future for a few bucks before I commit to spending hundreds of dollars to fly across the country.
  10. OK, so I know this is the Paragon Points thread, and I keep bringing up the Reward Tokens, and for that I apologize, but I'm hoping someone actually understands how these work and can explain it to me.

My main account reached 45 months on October 2, 2011, which would have awarded me my 15th Vet reward on that date if we were still under the old system, because I have already paid for 45 months of game time.

Under the old system, I wouldn't have had to wait until the end of my 46th month to get my 45 month Vet reward, but under the new system it seems as though I have to wait until just before my 46th bill date to get the equivalent of my 45th month reward. I don't understand why the new system requires this when the old system didn't.

To me this would be like your company telling you that you get paid every two weeks, but you won't get your paycheck for any given two week period until you've already worked another two weeks.

I may be off base here, but I cannot find a comprehensive, official explanation of X number of months paid = Y number of Reward Tokens, so again, if anyone knows of one, please direct me to it. I even tried to go to the official page on the COH website that was dedicated to the Paragon Rewards System, but page doesn't seem to exist any more.

I apologize that I upset you to the point of resulting to thinly-veiled vulgarity.

I was under the impression that every month we would receive a reward token. Furthermore I was always taught that the 31 days constituting the period of time known as "October" was a "month." I am now being told that during the time period referred to as "October," which may or may not be a month, I will not, in fact, receive a reward token.

Therefore, one of three things is possible:

    1) I received October's reward token in September and there is an official post, or link to an official post, buried somewhere in this thread that indicates that such is the case.

    2) I have been duped since childhood, and "October" is not, in fact, a month at all.

    3) October is a month, I did not receive the October reward token in September, and I will not receive a reward token in October.

If #1 is the case, would you be so kind as to direct me to the post in question?

If #2 is the case, I have a bone to pick with my all of my teachers, older relatives and all the people at the Calender Club kiosk at the mall.

If #3 is the case, I maintain that have been cheated out of a "monthly reward token" by not receiving on in the month of October.

And defend the Devs all you want, but they are the ones who brought this on themselves by dangling "limited time only" Reward Token items in front of us. If the Tier 9+ rewards were something you'd eventually earn anyway, I would not be the least bit bothered by not receiving a token in the month of October.

    So yeah... backwards.

It's not just you - apparently everyone is being cheated out of a token for October.

But don't worry, if you miss any of the Celestial Armor set because of it, they'll go ahead and sell it to you, or make you grind for it in the future.
  15. Does anyone find it at all ironic that some people constantly pass judgement on the folks who transfered to Exalted by claiming that those folks unfairly judge the Free players?

But to stay on topic, just save up your free transfers in case there is a future Double XP Weekend. Lots of people seem to request free transfers when those roll around.

Character items can be claimed 1 time per account.

Which is a big fail of logic on Paragon's part. (Yes, I know, from dev's side it isn't upside-down at all, but we aren't the devs.)
Wait... am I remembering wrong? Aren't vet rewards like Sands of Mu, Blackwand, and the little pets listed under "Character Items"?

If that's the case then combined with the misleading category names, a player would really be confused about who could claim what. I certainly thought it was the other way around before reading this thread.
  17. Hey gang. I ran into a guy in game tonight who was in search of an all mutant SG/team, so I invited him to join Gold Corp. His character's name is Ballistic, and he's currently level 8, but should easily be 10 by Thursday.

I know this makes more than 8, but if history has taught me anything it's that we rarely get a full team together on static team night, so we'll see. He should be stopping in to introduce himself.
  18. My money is on Aaron Burr; he is undefeated.

  20. You know, I'm even OK with not getting all the Reward Tokens up front. I'm disappointed about it, but whatever - if technical difficulties prevent it, they prevent it.

What I'm not OK with is losing one Reward Token altogether. Again, I should have received one on 10/2. If I don't receive that one until 11/2, then they have failed to provide me a token for a month of time subscribed. Technical difficulties are no excuse for not providing something we "technically" paid for.

Oh, I understand exactly what's going down.
My issue is soley with the Reward Tokens. My Anniversay date in the 2nd of the month. October 2nd has come and gone and I didn't get my reward token even though, based on the old system, I would have received my 45 month Vet reward.

This is what bugs me. My subscription renewed for a year on September 2nd. Therefore, October 2nd, I already paid for a month, for which I received no Reward Token. By pushing my October reward token back to November 2nd, that means that I will get 11 tokens for 12 months of paid subscription time.
  22. So in a matter of two months we've gone from getting all our prepaid tokens up front to having to wait until the end of each month to even get one, regardless of our billing date?

    Awesome.

Normally, I wouldn't care about this, but since you decided to tie a limited-time reward to these tokens, I'm rather miffed. If you'd held up your original statement, I'd already have the whole Celestial Armor set on my main account. As it is now, there is a chance I'll only get part, or none of it, depending on how soon you retire it and how many more times you jerk us around on these tokens.

Add to that the fact that this is the second time I've had to type this post because of the @*&%^$# issue with the random forum log-outs and color me extremely impressed with Paragon Studios lately.

    Bravo.

(oh wait, let me copy my whole post in case the forum logs me out again when I hit "Submit Reply")

((Hey, good thing I copied that, otherwise this would be the THIRD time I typed this due to the log-out bug! Impressed as ever!))
  23. I enjoyed it, and it looks promising. Season recording set up.

This and New Girl are the two standout new shows for me so far.
  24. FYI: Looks like there will be a 200+ MB patch to download today.
