7deCoeur PMed me last Friday to apologize that he/she (not sure if the name Patrice is male or female) still didn't have my code for winning the contest on the 18th, and also to say that it was his/her last day at Paragon Studios.
I think s/he posted a farewell in French, but I'm not sure because I can't read French. -
Speaking as an apparent member of the fan-boi base...
Thanks for the new content for this event. -

Quote:It's a corporation looking to cash in on something that was wildly popular just a few years ago. That's why you can buy shower curtains with the Mona Lisa on them and why there have been at least three more Rocky movies than there should have been.Apparently DC doesn't understand the concept of a graphic novel being self-contained. But good on Morrison for realizing yes, it is perfect as it was. You don't need to add to it, at all.
This is just DC seeing if they can sucker the fanboy audience.

Is this a good idea? No, probably not, but people make mistakes, and remember, corporations are people too. -
OK, thanks. I knew something disappeared from my badge screen, but like I said I didn't know what my count was before the conversion, so I couldn't tell if it had changed.
-
I recently noticed on my level 50 badger that I since I was now an Incarnate, I had the ability to convert my "Flames of Prometheus" into a Notice of the Well. I clicked the button to do so, and I think I lost a badge in the process. I'm sure someone here knows if that's the case. (I don't know, because I hadn't thought to check my badge count before I clicked the button.)
If it did happen, I haven't decided whether it's a big deal to me or not, but I think as important as badges are to some players it's pretty dumb of them to create a mechanic that removes a badge you had already earned. -
Ah, do you maybe have to click on the actual item to get the Quantity Available to show up in the lower window? That's one thing I can think of that I hadn't done.
-
Hmmm, I'll have to look at it more closely when I get home, the only quantity I recall seeing is the one in parentheses after something like Enhancement Unlslotter, and t is always (x1), even though the Paragon Rewards gives you something like eight of them, IIRC.
I must be missing something. I just hope it's the numbers I'm missing and not the actual items. -
When I buy multiples of a "consumable" item on the Paragon Market, does only one of those items show up in my "Account Items" e-mail list at a time?
For example, I just purchased two of the Positrons Blast sets and when I open the Account Items window, I see each recipe listed once.
Likewise, I have filled in the Paragon Rewards slots for the Windfall power, Enhancment Boosters, etc., each of which states that you get multiples of these, but when I check the Account Items list, they are all followed by (x1). -
I think the OP is just trying to trick more people into playing on Exalted.
-
To be fair, they're not just nukes. There can also be biological or chemical weapons on those Warburg rockets.
-
There is a line in the Paragonwiki that reads:
"Completing a strike target after the first of the week awards progress to the following Accomplishment Badges. Completions are cumulative, so subsequent strike target completions do not need to be completed within the same week."
What does that mean? I thought in order to advance in the badge count you had to run the same WST multiple times in the same week. Does this mean that if I run the Renault SF once when it is the WST, I will get a credit towards the badges the first time I run it when it becomes the WST again? -
I take Warbaby's tooth to the observation deck of the Empire State Building and wait for you to walk by below, at which point I toss the tooth over the side. The tooth fall 86 stories to the street below where it strikes...
a pigeon. The pigeon flies through the open window of a passing taxi cab, causing the cabbie to drive his taxi up onto the sidewalk where it...
startles a police horse. The horse throws it's rider right onto the hot grill of a nearby hotdog cart. The sight of the policeman fanning his burned buttocks throws you into a fit of laughter, causing you to choke to death on the frankfurter you just purchased from said vendor.
To the lovely PBM, I give a mint condition copy of Action Comics number 1. -
Quote:Yeah, I just finished Vol. 6 of the hardbacks, so I'm up to issue 72. I have volume 7, but I've been trying to pace myself so that I won't have to wait too long for volume 8. Not that it has worked - I open one of those hardbacks and end up reading all 12 issues over the course of 2-3 days. That's cool. I knew they were getting relatively close to I96 of the comic so I figured I'd just catch up in a few months when the second compendium (presumably issues 49-96) comes out. There's no way the TV show will get past the story presented by the first compendium any time soon anyway so I can wait. IIRC, the TV show has only gotten up to maybe around I20 of the comic give or take.
Sounds like I'll have to wait 4 or 5 months at least for Volume 8, so I'll probably start buying the comics monthly with issue 97. -
Here's where I'm confused...
Are there are now three universes in play? Or four? Or still only two.
Universe 1 is the one we'd been watching since the first episode of season 1.
Universe 2 is the Walternate universe we were introduced to at the end of season 1.
At the end of season 3 Peter disappeared from Universe 1 after climbing into the machine.
In season 4, Peter reappears in what we assume is Universe 1, but as time passes, he seems to feel he is in Universe 3 and needs help to return to Universe 1. So is he just confused/delusional, or is this really a third Universe and somewhere Walter, Olivia, et. al. are standing around looking at a Peter-less machine scratching their heads?
And is the Universe 2 of season four the same Universe 2 of seasons 2 and 3, or is it now Universe 4?
Also, what the heck was up with Peter's jaunt into the future at the end of last season? Was that addressed at any point and I'm just drawing a blank on it, or have they pretty much ignored that? -
Please tell me the Coyote travel power works with the Howl emote. If not, that's just criminal.

Wrap - a term used in the entertainment industry meaning to bring to an end.

Quote:I respectfully disagree. The dialogue from the movie implies that Han's life was in imminent danger...I think it's fair to say that we're splitting hairs here on the term "self-defense." At least, as it's used in a legal capacity. In that scene, Han's life was *not* in danger. He took the initiative and killed Greedo because he knew that Greedo would run him in to Jabba to collect the bounty.
You can reasonably infer that Han's life would be in danger at a later time after that scene (at Jabba's discretion, no doubt), but in the Mos Eisley Cantina there was no mortal threat. He fired first to prevent being caught and turned in. This is not the same thing as self-defense.
Greedo: You can tell that to Jabba. He may only take your ship.
Han: Over my dead body.
Greedo: That's the idea. I've been looking forward to this for a long time.
That last line, coming from a bounty hunter with a blaster pointed at them, would make any sane person consider what was about to happen.
As for Greedo being too smart to shoot Han in a cantina full of aliens, well, Han didn't get much grief for it. And Greedo was already sloppy if he knew Han's reputation, and knew he was likely to be armed, why did he come alone?
Greedo and Han both knew Greedo's only real hope of collecting the bounty was to kill Han and bring his body to Jabba. As such, Han shooting was self-defense.
If a person breaks into your home and points a gun at you, and you in turn shoot them, is that not considered self defense? Must you let them shoot at you first?
Finally, regarding Jar-Jar - yes the prequels would've still been disappointing without him, after all, they were more about politics than space adventure, and they were poorly written and acted, but they would've been undeniably, if even only slightly, better without Jar-Jar. Which, by the way, is no knock on Ahmed Best, against whom I have nothing. -
Did you ever purchase any points in the past? If so, do you remember how many? If you purchased as few as 400 points in the past, then purchasing $50 worth now will get you four tokens.
(4000 + 600 + 400)/1200 = 4.1666667 -

First a dumb question - if you're level 50, why do you want to buy lvl 30 SOs? They aren't like IOs which will still work at level 50. ETA: I see you've been around for almost 8 years, so you probably knew that.
Second, it's possible what they mean is that once you have unlocked that contact by doing a mission for them they will sell you enhancements at any point forward, but also that if you have outlevelled them before you do their mission, they won't talk to you to allow you to unlock them, because why would you want to buy enhancements you've outleveled? -
Thanks!
One question - does winning this disqualify me from all the games (like the story game they run on Friday) for the next six weeks, or only from this game?
