  2. For me it makes no difference I play the way I have for the last 5 years. Starting at lvl1 and then going all the way to 50 (now sometimes 50+3). I have only purchased a few costumes and Ranged power sets.

I just don't bother with all the extra bibs and bobs. I have fun the way I play and I guess others (at least I hope they do) have fun the way they play.

I know what you mean it annoys me as well. Not only the Alt you are on at the time but all others you check on that session.
  5. The Player Event Resource Committee Presents:
    Design Challenge - Disaster Base!

Oh no, something terrible has happened to your base! Was it a natural disaster? A gang of looting Skulls? A Rikti bombing? A jealous Hellion's girlfriend? Whatever the cause, a total disaster has hit your base leaving you with nothing but wreckage! How creative can you be at turning a mess into a beautiful base? Thirty Designers will be selected to see who can best salvage their "Disaster Base"!

    • Anyone who wishes to compete may enter by filling out a short form linked at the bottom of the post.
    • Contestants will be chosen based on creativity of their answers, passion for designing, and skill level.
    • Entrants may choose to link up to 3 screen shots of previous base work.
    • Having previous base building experience is not a requirement; a variety of contestants will be chosen.
    • Entries will be accepted until June 24th. Contestants will be selected by June 28th and will be invited into bases from June 28th to July 1st.
    • Contestants will be posted on the forums and will be notified individually via email.
    • Non-VIP players may enter, but must realize that the prizes they win may be limited by their Paragon Tier level.

    • Each contestant will be given a "disaster" base to resurrect and design. Each base will have exactly the same number of items (wreckage) and an additional 50k prestige (disaster relief funds).
    • Contestants may not do anything to earn or buy more prestige for the super group. Part of the challenge of this contest is designing with only the materials provided and a small amount of prestige.
    • Contestants may not delete any of the preexisting wreckage. You may move it or reposition it, but you may not delete it. You must use the wreckage in a creative way.
    • Any player who does not have access to Paragon Rewards base items may request that a PERC Rep drop them off in the base.
    • Contestants may design only the given "Disaster Base" room, the base entrance will NOT be judged.
    • Design/Building time will end on July 20th.
    • Judges will tour bases between July 21st and 25th.
    • Bases will be judged without the contestants present. Contestants may email a summary/description of their base to be considered during judging.
    • Bases will be judged on: creativity, difficulty, use of wreckage in design, overall aesthetics, and cohesion.
    • There will be 3 overall winners selected and up to 10 Honorable Mentions.

    • Overall Winners (3)- 2 Billion influence, a set of ATOs (player's choice), and an Olympian Guard costume code!
    • Honorable Mentions - 250 Million influence
    • Each contestant who completes their base will be awarded a Luck of the Gambler +7.5% rech

  7. Funny that you mention going back to Ms Liberty to level 50 I still do most of the time

I also remember the torch path we would make for the walk to her.
  8. I'd say around here (Norfolk/Suffolk, England) quite good. What with all the films that have been made.

    Defiant Channels

    Welcome Back Felix.

Still the main channel on Defiant is Defiant Events EU

I think you will find it's run using British Summer Time (BST).

Sorry I can't be part of it as Dark is my favorite, I'm a bit to busy with other regular teams.

Good luck Riff and all the others taking part.
  13. This has came up so many times it's no longer funny. We who pay on quieter servers do so because we like the less hassle. I know most people on Defiant (my home server) and the same people know and will still team with me

At times I wonder if people who keep suggesting this have problems getting teams, if so could it just possibly a problem with that player (I'm not meaning the OP BTW) and not the number of players on the server.

For defiant that would be Defiant Events EU
for Union the main is Sals Badgehunters - however its full - Union Badgehunters (precursor to Sals) is still active as is Union TF - with Union Chat for more social interaction

Both Union and Defiant are very active and friendly - Union has the higher population but both are larger than many of the US servers although smaller than Freedom or Virtue.
Both servers contain players of many nationalities other than UK players the most obvious being Spanish and Italians on Defiant and Dutch, Scandinavians and Slavic nations on Union.

However if you are looking to start about 11pm then that is when they will be quieting down with people heading to bed so one of the US servers may suit you better as that will be nearer peak time mid week. Even so you will still find players online and forming TFs at 3am - may be slow to start at that time though.

    Wherever you go Willkommen.
Just to correct the Defiant Events name it's Defiant Events EU. Someone once made a Defiant Events on the old NA servers and as you may remember when the list merge came NA names were kept and all others renamed.

  18. It really depends what time of day you wish to play. I'm from England and play on Defiant. Mornings and afternoons it is quiet. From about 6pm BST (British Summer Time) it fine. As Thoran_EU says the players are mainly very friendly and helpful.

We have a active (if some would say small) player base. With people who seem to spend most of the time running events most of which are posted on the "Defiant Events EU" channel.
  19. Damn they are crawling out of the woodwork now.

    Welcome home
  20. A lot if your accuracy and to hit is not well slotted
  21. On Defiant Sunday night we also gave up on a Kahn after 4 full team DCs in the first 2 missions. It was completely unplayable.

Also a team running a Barracuda sf hit a similar problem.
  22. If the storage capacity was raised I could shut down some of my bases.

If I wasn't already in 4 theme teams plus my regular duo with Mrs M I would be in. But as it is I'm fully booked teamed 6 nights a week, whats "real life". Good luck anyway.
