    Super Group

    This idea reminds me of the Corporation system in Eve Online, where by you can find information on the corp, number of members etc. and leave an application for membership at any of the corps offices (probably need to be the SG registrars in Atlas/Galaxy/Port Oakes)

  2. It would be nice if we got a quick overview of all ongoing events when you log on with a character (just a simple if-event then-notify check on all the possible events just after MOTDs etc.) Another small QoL feature please devs.
  3. how do you figure 1% defence = 2% resist?

    100 damage attacks hitting with 50% defence = 0%-100% damage taken, dependant on luck, but mathematically 50%.

    100 damage attacks hitting with 50% resistance = 50% damage taken, all the time.

    so 1% defense = 1% resist, but resistance is more reliable.

    Ok its been a while since I have been in CoH or CoV but what does PvP rep do for you. If I remember right PvP rep is just a score boards system unless they have changed it.

    Now I do know that you have the meteor missions in bloody bay which give you a Shivian temp pet power in sirens call its the bounty's which you can trade in for temp powers and I can remember the name of the open pvp zone but you get nukes and the such. But what do you get in RV other than the heavy and the turret badge.

    PvP rep is just that... reputation...

    The temp powers from each zone do not require any PvP at all, its all PvE.

    Theres not even any inf/prestige/salvage/drops from PvP farming... so whats the point. the only reason to farm PvP kills is to unlock the final SG Base control facilities, and this is much easier achieved by having the SG visit Warburg (the free PvP zone, with the nukes and stuff) and have fun blasting each other (some SGs ive been a member of even make this an SG event)

    The subject of the OPs post (Not the OP or his wife)should be /Ignore'd as hes just a pain who doesnt even understand that PvP rep is a pointless score that means nothing if its farmed and not earned.

    Maybe they play different than other ATs but it will still look the same.
    Kheldians at least have really unique powers.

    I would have gladly waited for VEATs till I13, if that gave the devs more time to develop new or cooler poweranimations, than just reuse existing ones.

    I am not talking about how they will play, maybe they are fun , i only talk about the look of the powers.

    Have you not been following the "Power Customisation" threads... the reason the powers look the same is because of the arcitecture behind the game, the powers CANNOT be changed without extensive reprogramming.

    Also, the video only shows a couple of attacks for each type... dont forget each set has 9 attacks, 18 powers in total (not counting any special powers not yet revealed)

    I for one am looking forward to rolling my first epic (i still need to get a 50 in CoH! 3 years and only 1 50 and he's a villain) Chronic Altitis - We need a cure now

    So for all those do-gooders out there, beware... the Bane Spider will soon be stalking the streets of Paragon!
  6. We're a small SG (Currently 6-7 regulars and a lot of alts). We are active most evenings, between about 18:00 to 24:00 GMT and have a range of levels/archetypes.

    We have a small base, with full TP facilities (Except Raid TP), Invention Workstation, Salvage Vault Access and full tech empowerment facilities. No Medical Facilities just yet due to not having enough control or the SG healing Badges just yet.

    If your looking for a friendly Villain-SG, send an in-game email to Stygian Fear, or a /tell to @malfunction for an invite.

    Base wish list

    following on from comm idea, how about adding a customisable PvE raids, you could select the type of raid, the enemy type, and reward type, the difficulty etc.

    it would work something like this.

    SG group (Villain) creates party and enters base.

    Party leader activates console and selects 'Longbow Base' as target, selects 'Salvage' as reward, the game then creates an appropriate mission (like a newspaper mission) and activates the teleporter to it.

    the SG completes the mission and gets a list of suitable (level/archetype) rewards to choose from.

    Base raids, Mayhem, Bank missions etc would all be available (maybe tied to SG badges for completing so many of that type of mission)

    Rewards could be Salvage (base and invention), Infamy, Prestige (its a SG mission after all)

    Umm nice idea, but you can already trade infamy for prestige at the SG registrar... and 1million infamy for 2k prestige is a little sucky

    Heres a way to implement storage into bases? (not a programmer)

    1. add an item placeable in base (Safe, Treasure chest, Gold Pile, Etc.)

    2. Create a base inventory

    3. have a player (clicking the item) have a trade dialog appear so player can add salvage/enhancements/inspirations to the base inventory.
    (withdrawal privaleges settable by leaders)

    These steps as far as i can see, are (with the exception of base inventory) already implemented in one form or another. and i would think, easy to adapt/re-write

    PS.. how about some more themes for the base (derelict, office, space-station etc.)

    Hmm 20 players cant earn 100k prestige, personally i can say from experience that a 20 person SG playing together can earn 100k prestige quite easily... try the following

    get your SG to team together, while you get less prestige individually (as you do in any team), the SG gets more prestige overall.

    Example: solo you get 200prestige for mission complete, in a duo you get 150prestige, but SG gets both 150s for 300 prestige ("Numbers are example only and not the true game amounts")
  13. or buy a larger control room, that allows more auxillary items.

    we had same problem in our base, but worked hard and bought the 1.5mil Supercomputer (which fits nicely in a 2x2 control room)
  14. Hmm. so the experienced pvper whos already aware of how to deal with the other archetypes gets reputation, while the new PvPer with no exp, and possibly an unsuitable build gets none, or looses the little hes managed to obtain?

    Courtesy and PvP

    A little annoyed after being attacked in pvp (The cowardly scrapper attacked me during a PvE encounter with 2 +2s, and assorted others)... i was wondering, what common courtesies do you extend to your enemies.

    do you wait until they've finished fighting their current opponent, or do you just barge in on what could be a private duel?

    do you leave an obviously unprepared enemy (MM with no pets, someone in rest position, etc.) or take the cheap kill. (Reputation is reputation after all.)

    what are the views of regular PvPers and the Casual PvPer whos been attacked while still trying to get his legs.
