  1. We don't know that this isn't already in the works for I16 (though I'm betting it's not). Castle has said that adding more APP/PPP sets is on their list of things to do but probably not at the top. Even so, I'd like to see the sets that are short 1 power to have that power added before we get new sets (*cough* Ice Mastery for Defenders *cough*).

AE hasn't made bad players - they were already bad to begin with.

    Therm MMs (PvP)

Big deal = most MMs are already very tough to kill in PvP if played smartly. Add Therm into the mix and you've got pets with very high resistance and non-decaying heals (DR and HD don't apply to pets), as well as Heat Exhaustion, which ensures that your target will probably never have endurance unless he runs the whole match - not to mention Therm has a self-heal and Poison doesn't.

    Mids for i15!

    [ QUOTE ]
=O btw do we "HAVE TO" download directly from the site? or will Mids' update would work?

    [/ QUOTE ]
There is no update to download. It got pulled because lots of things weren't working right.
  6. Neeto, your build needs more +HP bonuses and less +dam bonuses. Also, more KB protection.
  7. And the other 1 is an Inv/SS or Fire/SS Tank.
  8. [ QUOTE ]
I would hope that we all keep this in mind. Were gonna get some vet teams that probably will crush a few teams. I ask everyone keeps it friendly and helpful. (as Bleak Stated "Organized COX Arena PVP must live.") SO PLEASE keep that in mind when dealing with teams that haven't reached a certain lvl of skill.

    [/ QUOTE ]
One thing to point out here: there's a world of difference between "organized CoX arena PvP" and "CoX PvP."A team of players that is relatively new to organized team matches (even if they've played zone before) will get steamrollered by teams that have been playing together and are quick on their target locks, many of whom will be calling targets on Vent or TS.
  9. No, that's just the DR value of your defenses. You can get them higher but it takes exponentially more and more defense to eke out the last bit. Non-squishies have a DR-enforced "hard cap" of something around 50%, while that number is more like 20% for squishies.

    Therm MMs (PvP)

Replying to Shinobi's bit about Thugs/Therm build here:

From Thugs you'll want the three pet summons and the upgrades. You'll probably want all the Therm powers but the rez (Thaw is debatable but I'd still not skip it). Assuming you skip Gang War (not necessarily a good idea since it's good for targeting overload) that's a total of 13 powers. That gives you 11 power picks to grab Fitness, a few travel powers, and your patron powers. You can do it but it'll be tight, and slotting won't be fun either.

    Mids for i15!

Steiner has posted on the Titan forums saying that he will likely be releasing bug fix updates over the weekend - he's looking into the "not being able to open old builds" problem.
  12. There's another thing worth noting - most complaints about buffers aren't complaining about the nerfing of offensive buffing (+dam, +tohit, +rech, +percep). Instead, they're complaining about the nerfing of defensive buffs (debuff resistances, mez protection, +def, +res). I'll always be grateful when I get Forge, or Painbringer, or Fortitude, because I know those powers are helping me do more damage against whatever I'm attacking. When I see Cold or Therm shields on me, I just shrug and say "meh" because I know those powers are having a negligible impact on my survivability.

People who say Emps/Pains are worthless are seriously underselling those powersets. Any set with access to +tohit and +dam that also has Absorb Pain (or Share Pain, in the case of PD) can make a significant contribution because it provides offensive buffing as well as a massive heal which can be used to partially overcome heal decay when it's at its worst.
  13. Screech > Siren's Song, no contest. If you have room for both, take both, but don't take Siren's Song and leave out Screech.
  14. Or they're Elec and rolled a crit on TS after they AS'd you.
  15. It's been updated but as has been said in other threads, people are having issues opening their old builds with the new update.
  16. I had a nice big reply written up but then I gave up because you just don't get it. The reason that buffers have all but disappeared is not due to player decisions but simply due to the mechanics that made them how they are. Look no further than the mez changes and the differences between PvE and PvP damage and you'll see that yes, PvP is about damage now.
  17. [ QUOTE ]
As for the stealth aspect of it, i don't get it unless your a stalker or a VEAT. All other At's shouldn't be worried about capping stealth IMO. Theirs no point of it. But getting stealth for phase isnt that bad cause now a phased player can kill a phased player. So its not survival to the fullest

    [/ QUOTE ]
Any layer of stealth you have is less distance you have to move before your opponent loses you as a target.

    Therm MMs (PvP)

Thugs/Therm, Nin/Therm. I was tooling around with a Thugs/Therm build in a modified version of Mids, and that combo is gonna be tough to build.
  19. [ QUOTE ]
Phase in arenas? I see no point in running even more

    [/ QUOTE ]
To keep from dying. You won't win a duel if the other person has Phase/Hibernate and you don't, unless you can put out insane damage really fast (a Corruptor normally can't).

    [ QUOTE ]
not to mention with everyone moving around so much Sleet wont do much of anything

    [/ QUOTE ]
They don't have to be in the power's effect when you use it for the debuff to hit them - as long as they run though the patch they'll get debuffed for the full duration. You want it up as often as possible so you can ensure that happens (best bet is mez + Sleet while they can't move).

    [ QUOTE ]
The Hold in Elec I have slotted with a number of damage procs, and at the moment is my strongest hitting attack, and a hold. Not to mention Power Sink helps drain a little extra END while giving me some as well.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Leviathan Mastery has Spirit Shark Jaws which does just about the same damage as Electric Shackles, and gives you access to Hibernate. Power Sink will not drain enough end to be noticeable especially when you have no other real consistent sources of end drain (Heat Loss and Electric Shackles will not do enough on their own).

    [ QUOTE ]
And what is the love for Leviathan mastery here? Its always about Leviathan for Hibern00b, well what If I wanted to sta and duke it out instead of wait to die?

    [/ QUOTE ]
Then you'd just die faster. You may have Aid Self but it won't do you any good if you've got toggle debuffs on you (the debuffs will interrupt Aid Self) or if they can just keep spamming damage and kill you anyways. "Stand and fight" seems nice and all that but it doesn't work well in practice if you're a squishy (really, it doesn't work well in practice at all against a competent player).
  20. You don't need Snow Storm and Sleet is underslotted. Switch out Mu Mastery for Leviathan Mastery, or drop Leadership and take Phase.
  21. Psi/MM can do OK. It was better before the Drain Psyche nerf but it's still good.
  22. To stop Mind or Grav Doms/Trollers you'll want to build for KB protection in the upper 30s (before DR).
