  1. 1. It's ok now. Not great, just ok.
    2. Willpower.
    3. Build for +dam and +rech, with a WP Stalker you should be just about at the HP cap without accolades or too many IO bonuses.
    4. Elec.
    5. I like my Rad/Psi and my Emp/Dark heroside and my Rad/Therm villainside.
  2. Oh, and writing a script to redirect URLs from the old boards would've been awesome. Oh well, I guess five years' worth of links all over the internet don't matter.

Like the idea of switching to the new forums, and I actually like the new forums, but the transition itself could've and should've gone better. Obviously it's better in the long run but it's going to be a long time before I can rebuild my link library.
  3. Still uncomfortable with the fact that the forum login is now tied to your game login. Since it's presumably much easier to hack a forum login than it is a game login, and getting access to a forum account means you'll also have access to that person's game account, I see that more as a security issue than anything else. There was a reason my passwords were different.

If there's an obvious solution, one which ***** over a minimum amount of players and only minimally messes up the gameplay experience, you can bet they probably haven't seen it or won't implement it.
  5. I'm having a hard time deciding whether this thread is just a really good troll or if the OP is actually serious.
  6. I was expecting it but not expecting it, if you know what I mean. I just find it incredibly interesting given the massive XP/inf gains that the MA makes possible, and the official viewpoint of such gains. It's like being told "you can't have any candy or you're grounded" and then having it force-fed to you.
  7. No way to do that, the "change password" link just tells you to go to your game account control panel.

Sucks and I wish there were an option to make them separate.
  8. Yeah, you've got the farm nerf to thank for that one.

I'll be dancing a jig when the farmers are gone from the AE. It would be good to be able to easily find mission teams in the AE that aren't running farms - better yet - aren't broadcasting in lower-level zones for AE Exploit teams.
So take your misguided moral crusade and go after the cheaters and the exploiters - the majority of the MA farmers are neither - and let those of us who find most of the content in the "normal game" boring level as we see fit. Me? I don't give a crap about the first 49 levels, I just want 50 so I can purple out and PvP - am I a cheater or exploiter?

You, however, seem to have this misguided optimism that they'll eventually stamp out MA farming. The only way they'll be able to do that is to make the rewards from MA missions so low that most anyone would rather go do normal content - and that kind of goes against their stated goals and designs for the MA, doesn't it?
  10. S/L defense softcap is probably the best way to go on a Fire/Kin (and with Stone it's easiest too).
  11. Yeah, but that doesn't change the fact that CO's boards looked like this before ours did. The facts may say one thing, but the majority of the potential playerbase of both games doesn't know nor care.
  12. At least this thread made it through the forum migration!

  14. Linking the forum password and the game account password is garbage and needs to be changed. There's a reason mine weren't the same before the forum migration.

EDIT: Also, any links to threads that existed on the old boards are now broken. This includes help links to other threads within threads as well as links within signatures.

EDIT EDIT: PM's don't show the sender, only the subject. Needs to be changed. Options for viewing posts per page is 5, 10, 20, 30, 40, and 100 - where's the 50?
  15. Why the hell did the PvP wishlist thread and this thread get transferred to the new forums? What a waste of space, the people who started these threads are long gone and it's clear the devs want nothing to do with what's outlined in them.
  16. Grav/Energy is a set that'd probably perform better in a team setting as a disruption character (lots of KB and utility). If you're looking for dueling, I'd go with something else.
  17. Yep, you're gonna want at least 10 more points of knockback protection.
  18. Let me toss something together in Mids quick using level 50 common IOs, cheap-ish set IOs, and HOs (and -KB IOs, which you will need). There are some empty slots here mostly because with common IOs there wasn't really anything to fill them with.

  19. Problem with Energy is its low-ish damage compared to other sets, while offering no real secondary effect aside from knockback, which most people will have protection against. Power Push's high mag is the exception but it turns Energy Blast into a one-trick pony (setting up damage spikes) rather than a really viable PvP set.

    Arena 2v2 help

Heroes: Emp and Blaster, can't go wrong there. Mind/Emp and Grav/Emp are good choices because both can do the deadly KU/hold combo and Grav has Singularity and the cage. Fire/Emp and Ill/Emp are good as well mostly for targeting disruption (Imps, PA, Phantasm). Pair the Emp with a Psi Blaster and go have fun.

Villains: Therm or Pain and a Dom. Pain has a lot of nifty survivability tools (the PBAoE aura will do plenty of regen, enabling you to use Share Pain without too much worry, for example) and Therm has some awesome debuffs and Forge. Just about any good PvP Dominator will work in a 2v2 situation but some popular builds are Mind/Fire, Mind/Elec, and Fire/Elec. /Energy Doms are becoming popular as well after the I15 buffs to that set.

Really? I'd put Corruptors only behind Blasters and Dominators in terms of PvP ability.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Yea, if you're talking Elec/Therm...

Anything short of that, I'd even put them behind Tankers tbh. They provide very little, both buff-wise (thanks to DR) and survivability/damage-wise.

I'd definately rank them above SoA's at least though.

Anyways, if I16 in allowing our level 50's to become more powerful grants us more slots I'll be a lot more excited about my PB. Tri-Form is basically human heals/BU with Nova and Dwarf slotted for me.

    [/ QUOTE ]

What now? What is this I hear about adding more slots?

    [/ QUOTE ]
At the Comic Con panel, they highlighted some of what they want to do with Going Rogue, and a few of the things were reinvent the low-level experience, add a real endgame, and make ways for level 50s to get even more powerful. No idea what those entail specifically but I'm not holding my breath.
